Hi! Weekday Escape and Weekday Puzzle are here!

First we have two new cans from tomoLaSiDo and then two small rooms from isotronic. That's all for this week's escape games.

Then we have a cute rhythm game from Octobass, and two puzzlescripter puzzlers, from Diamond Knight and Patty. The last one is a bit of an odd escape from JDth.

Have a good time and enjoy!

Welcome to Mobile Monday!

We have another beautiful game from Nicolet and it's a winter game as it should be. Tasuku Yahiro have released another of their Color Rooms and it's (almost) completely black. The last one is a very long and very appealing game from TOKI GAMES (Hiroyuki Tsuchida), full of magic, spells and of course puzzles.

All games are free and available in Google Play and in Apple Store.

Notice, that Mobile Monday is not posted regularly due to low availability of free good games.

After a few weeks of patient waiting, we have been rewarded - the new game from Ichima Coffeedo is here. We got a wonderful new game - it's not a remake - with lots of good puzzles, beautiful and high quality graphics and a nice soundtrack. Enjoy!

Hi! Weekday Escape and Weekday Puzzle are here!

Besides the bigger escape (three rooms!) by tomoLaSiDo we have two 3D games - a short story by wanco about a naughty dog and a small adventure game by blackgobygames. Then we have two puzzle games - an idle cute clicker by kindanice and an excellent puzzle platformer by Robert Alvarez (rob 1221).

Have a good time and enjoy!

Hi! Weekday Escape and Weekday Puzzle are here!

We've got two new cans in tomoLaSiDo's vending maschine this week, one strange escape (it's more of a web toy than an escape) by Wander Games, one retro escape again by tomoLaSiDo and very standard and linear escape by Tennpa Games.

The two puzzle games are by Tarkonner and krackocloud and both are games in which you need logical thinking and tactics. You can pause them at any time and come back to them later.

Have a good time and enjoy!

Hi! Weekday Escape and Weekday Puzzle are here!

We start in tomoLaSiDo's room with the rabbit tails, and then you will try to deal more or less successfully with the puzzles in Hi Taro's room. As a new year's present we got a new asylum from Selfdefiant and it's big and fun just like his older asylums used to be. Finally we have a puzzle game by Lio Lim - just one, but a very, very good one in all aspects.

Have a good time and enjoy!

cya5.pngThe name of the game may sound familiar to some gamers, and yes, you are right. The original Cyadonia by James Newcombe came out fourteen years ago (and two sequels followed), it was very successful and unfortunately in Flash. Now we have the opportunity to play it again and it's a joy!

Hi! Weekday Escape is here!

We'll start with the tomoLaSiDo's new cans and we've accumulated quite a few, five in total. Then we got a cute and funny game from devextreme, followed by an interesting and creative escape from Gumishi. The last one is an escape from isotronic, this time without time limit and bugs (as far as I know).

Have a good time and enjoy!

Most games are designed to provide players with a thrilling gaming experience. The process of creating a game begins with an idea, which is then turned into a design by experienced professionals. The design is then tested and adjusted as needed until it is so attractive to a player that it can bring them in and keep them playing. Gams are programmed using software that ensures its fairness and accuracy. After finishing the programming, the game goes through rigorous testing to ensure that it works properly in terms of gameplay, graphics, security, etc., before being ready for release. Finally, after all these steps have been completed successfully, the new game can be released to players around the world.

Remember the puzzle game by EPICPIKAGUY (Ethan Clark)? It came out almost two years ago, and it was one of the best games of that type...and it was the second game about freelancer explorer Steve. How it all started? In the year 20XX, The Kitty Federation sent a crew, lead by captain Laika, to a distant planet. When they failed to return, The Federation got worried so they sent the best officer, a cat named Steve, to rescue them. But he failed, so The Federation hired freelancer explorer also named Steve who turned out to be very capable!

It is very easy to diversify the gameplay. It is enough to add new creatures with which you can fight, tame, or use in your work.

Rogues are masters of disguise, making various kinds of poisons, as well as picking all sorts of locks. They have supernatural powers. In particular, such as intoxicating poison, a blow that paralyzes the body, stunning, depriving the enemy of sight, as well as a blow to the kidneys. All these abilities are especially relevant underground. Rogues can also weaken the armor of opponents and split the armor.

The thing about history is that it has inspired a great number of TV shows, movies, and even video games. Game developers have been pumping out titles since the dawn of the gaming industry and some of them are historical ones. If you're looking for a historical video game to play or just a good game in general, then here are some suggestions:

Hello and welcone in 2023! The first Weekday Escape is here!

We'll start with our usual favourite developers, Amajeto and tomoLaSiDo. Then comes a slightly belated Christmas game from Esklavos, followed by two thank-yous - from Rinnogogo who at the moment is the only creator of escape games that come out often and are of high quality (and beauty), and Nekonote, who we haven't heard from in a long time. We players thank you all!

Have a good time and enjoy!

No puzzle games in this Weekday Escape. Weekday Puzzle will be published tomorrow.

Hello and welcome to the Christmas Special...

which is quite modest. You all know the reason. So to start off we have two games from RoomEscapeMaker that even have the same name, followed by tomoLaSiDo. You're supposed to find five trays in their apartment with a decorated Christmas tree. Finally comes Rinnogogo with the fifth game set on Christmas night. As we are used to, it's a longer game that deserves a post of its own, but due to the lack of other games it is published in this WE. Links to the previous Holy Nights can be found below.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all!

I fear that as in years past we will get a few Christmas games but after Christmas. If my guess is correct there will be one more Christmas WE - may be sooner than next Wednesday, but it depends on the situation. If not, and unless an exceptional game comes along, this WE is the last post of the year. See you in 2023!

Edit: A new Christmas game by Esklavos has been added. Enjoy!

The first game is from a new developer (Toshihiko Ono) - new to JIG - and although it's a nice Christmas game, it's not exactly jolly. The following is the latest game from Kensuke Horikoshi with original art and dreamy atmosphere, and then we get to the tried-and-true creators and their classic Christmas games. Room's Room (Daichi Simada) comes with an escape from the house and snowy backyard, and Jammsworks (Jammsworks Inc.) takes you to the Christmas markets in Germany except for the bonus game by Neat Escape which is only for android.

All games are free and available in Google Play and in Apple Store. The bonus

Welcome to Weekday Puzzle!

Icoso's puzzler is the only one in this WP that requires speed and skill. In the other games, you need to think and plan your steps well in the first place - and if you don't plan them well, nothing happens, the levels are short and you just play the failed one again. In ball on a wall game by rvh86 you meet Sophie who is stuck in a large underground labyrinth, in Kultisti's slow game you play a board game and then in the puzzler from patrickgh3 you get into another dungeon full of gems, You aren't supposed to collect them but use them.

Have a good time and enjoy!

Welcome to Mobile Monday!

Nicolet wants you to run many errands before you can get to your own lunch - but for that you can explore the village and its surroundings really thoroughly. Then you find yourself locked in Kobabo's (Kobayashi Shumpei) bank and you'll even get to the vault. That is, if you manage to solve the puzzles along the way. Shigeyuki Kawamura's game again has georgeous graphics and fortunately there is no language barrier. The last is a puzzler by PlayDots (Playdots, Inc.); it's not a new game, but if you don't know it, it's worth a try.

All games are free and available in Google Play and in Apple Store.

Realism Mats Texture Pack

We start with Ghost Clown's escape from a dungeon and notice, that this game why WE is rated orange, following escapes are as peaceful as possible. Simple escape from Harusame takes only few minutes but it's a pleasant little game, and Cabeza/ Primera has made available another of their escapes from holiday destinations. TomoLaSiDo delivered a nice escape from two-room apartment and the last comes good escape by Tatsuyama - we've already played two games from these developers and they didn't disappoint this time either, quite the opposite.

No puzzle games in this WE. Weekday Puzzle will be posted tomorrow.

Hi! Weekday Escape and Weekday Puzzle are here!

We start with two new cans in tomoLaSiDo's vending machine. Then come standard escapes by Studio Shimadzu with rather unexpected outcome and very retro Liromisty with three endings. A game from FreePDA just asks you to open the door - but many times.

We have two puzzle games this week. A magical one from Kultisti and a Sokoban one from MarioMak967.

Have a good time and enjoy!

Despite now being a fully-fledged mainstream entertainment industry, video games still call to mind stereotypes of socially-awkward geeks spending hours playing Call of Duty or World of Warcraft alone in their rooms. It's a perception that the industry is still working hard to shake off, as evidenced by the array of intelligent, socially-driven and emotionally-engaging games that have been crafted and released in recent years.

All games are medium-sized.

FM Studios is back with the third chapter of spin-off series from Forgotten Hill...at a different time in a different place, the wardrobe showed up again. In a house inherited from a distant relative, there was a special key in the safe deposit box that didn't fit any of the locks in the house. That's what the family thought until they found a bricked-up room with a beautiful wardrobe in it during renovations. Yes, the key did fit the lock on the warderobe... and then the tragic event happened.

Gamers know the drill: the first quarter of any year is filled with developers rushing to meet their unmet release quotas with mistakes that they will polish as the year goes on. They certainly do this to silence players who are usually hungry for new toys. Well, that was not the case post-pandemic. Some of the best video games were released on time, so much so that most people struggled to keep up, which is great if you ask me. The college student fraternity had a ball, too, as these most popular video games came out before their schedules became too tight.

Due to its vast prospects and benefits, Linux is gradually becoming a safe haven for most developers. Utilizing this operating system to create a video game is now almost a necessity. The growing interest has continued to draw more developers to Linux.

Hi! Weekday Escape and Weekday Puzzle are here!

We again start with Selfdefiant's state escape - there are only few left - and then we find ourselves in a tiny and lovely room by Gamedesign.jp (Skipmore) with clever puzzles and nice retro looks. TomoLaSiDo's escape challenge has three rooms and is longer than their standard ones - no need to say that there are more puzzles, too.

We have three puzzlers this week - the first one by Chris Klimowski which can be a bit addictive - it's basically the match 3 theme, but what you do is piling color palindroms. Interesting. Then you go for a bit of fishing in retro game by RhytmLynx, and the last is resurrected cute puzzler from 2007 by Gamedesign.jp (Taro Ito) about a cat.

Have a good time and enjoy!

The tomoLaSiDo's game is not an escape - you are supposed to solve puzzles on cans and open them then. A couple of them were published earlier in Weekday Escapes under name Motto Akeru; it was always one can - now we've got a full vending machine! John Vanderhoef's point'n'click game is short and fun, and then we've got two variations on well known theme - mirrors-and-lasers puzzler by AliAlAni and sorting colorful liquids by Blury Studio.

Have a good time and enjoy!

First-person shooter games, like Valorant, have become gamers' favorite pastimes. As exciting as these games are, they can be overwhelming for beginners who lack experience in shooting games. Shooting games are not as difficult as they look. Of course, your score in these games depends on your aim, but other factors matter too. For instance, your choice of weapon, the ability to track your enemy down, and how you place the crosshair on the target are a few things that will determine your success in FPS games.

There are a lot of exciting and entertaining games being put out by game companies nowadays, but only a few of them can stand the test of time. Students make up a greater percentage of gamers because a majority of them play these games to ease stress and pass time

Often computer games are perceived as something non-educational, especially by fathers. In their opinion, kids can better spend less time at the computer. But this gap in the perception of technology should not affect the desire of children to play in the game because it's a separate world that has become our routine.

Two years ago Rinnogogo released the escape MOMO (published in WE N°251, still playable) and now we've got the game's remake. It's different - the graphics are new, the soundtrack as well, some puzzles have changed, some stayed (almost) the same and some are completely new. Overall it feels more like a new game - depends how good your memory is, though.

Yonashi's games are always good - they have simple and clean graphics and clever puzzles, and it usually takes a while to figure them out. This one isn't an exeption - and as always, features cute animals and one sleepy angel.

Hi! Weekday Escape and Weekday Puzzle are here!

With Amajeto you return to Blue Islands, and Selfdefiant in his latest 3D escape wants you to escape a dangerous place. TomoLaSiDo's room isn't dangerous at all and you can get away quickly, because the biggest puzzle is optional. From Prisma Game Lab we've got a good escape from a magical workshop.

Both puzzlers (by Troll_hunterx and by Notan) have the same objective - to get a square/a blob to a specific place - and both are fresh and original. In Troll_hunterx's game you have two parallel worlds to play with and in the Notan's one letters U to help you.

Have a good time and enjoy!

Welcome to Weekday Puzzle!

The first and the second games are puzzlers - the one by Auroriax is Sokoban-like again about magical hats and rabbits - no wonder, it is from the same game jam other rabbits-and-hats games posted in previous weeks. The puzzler by Gamungu is purely relaxing and pleasant game about using magnet properties. The last comes adventure/visual novel by Daring Owl Studios about a journey to the deep space.

One can play Cribbage with two or four players, but it's best if two players play. For the game, a complete set of 52 cards is required where the Ace has the lowest value.

Once the deck of cards is shuffled, each player is required to take a card. The person with the lowest card score becomes the dealer. The cards are redrawn to find the dealer in case of a draw.

Educational video games are a great tool for learning these days. No matter what skeptics may say about the use of technology in younger and older ages, there is no denying that new generations are notable for their dexterity and skill with technological equipment and devices.

It used to be that gaming was limited to PC, console, or handheld devices like the Nintendo Gameboy and its modern counterpart, the Switch. Games had to be bought, ripped out of the carton, and installed.

However, there's a new category of gaming today: browsers. That's right. Unlike the Netscape Navigator and (shudder) Internet Explorer of old, modern browsers are powerful enough to actually run full-fledged games.

The term "gamification" is not only a catchphrase. There are many advantages to gaming in management training, and HR and Learning & development practitioners must not overlook them. It's a win-win situation for you and your learners if you include games and competition in your business training. Why would 22 individuals gather to bounce a ball onto a muddy, frigid field on a chilly, wet day in February? Soccer is among the world's most popular pastimes for several reasons, including the following: Firstly, it's easy to learn, and second, it does have a powerful motivation at its core: the desire to succeed. Take away that goal, and the whole game loses its novelty value. Football, cricket, tennis, baseball, or any other professional sport depends on the competitive drive to garner a large following. And it's ultimately the same with virtual activities. Without further ado, let's jump to the core and see how gamification in schools' functions.

Hi! Weekday Escape and Weekday Puzzle are here!

Amajeto is back with a new game and it's a good one! Then tomoLaSiDo wants you to make a cheesecake - a device for producing cheesecakes is in the apartment, you just need to get ingrediences. Primera/Cabeza remade another colorful game from 2011 and the next is point'n'click adventure by Emily Rook (Péťa Emmerová) in a style of Grounhog Day. Amélie, a witch, creates a time loop and you repeat one day many times until you get to one of the three ends. Notice, that the game can be played directly in a browser or downloaded, but can be saved only in download version. If the game played in a browser crashes, your progress is lost.

Beautiful puzzler by JCodina and ArcaCrema is a dreamy and relaxing game - a demo only, but has 28 levels. The last comes FeatureKreep's play on words - you are supposed to make a dictionary and infer the meaning of words from the context.

Have a good time and enjoy!

Gaming has gone through quite a radical change since the rather primitive days when Atari ruled the roost. We have gone from 8-bit graphics to VR and photorealistic ultra-HD such as MS Flight Simulator. But before the days of Steam and Oculus, there was a time when internet browser games were incredibly popular.

Welcome to Weekday Puzzle!

After several weeks we've got a separate Weekday Puzzle. First you need to help a small frog in cassovary's world which is being flooded after a huge rainstorm (and the water is still rising). MrNannings's puzzler is again very well done in all aspects and since the difficulty is reasonable and controlling simple, it's a perfect relax game. From Neil Saddie (Sadie Brothers) comes grim chess game with really original concept, and also a soothing game about reclaiming land from the sea and growing as much tulips as possible there..

Previously, bingo was thought to be popular in the UK where the British have adopted this game as an integral part of their life. This social game has expanded its popularity chiefly in other countries including New Zealand. The online bingo version has, actually, proved to be popular in the online gaming industry with tight competition among the software developers providing complete gaming solutions.

Hi! Weekday Escape and Weekday Puzzle are here!

Then follow four cute and slow puzzlers - from Freezedlce we've got lovely game about snakes, from gate a story about a ghost, from Yumehiko short point'n'click adventure and from baba_s a game which seems like a platformer but isn't so much.

Have a good time and enjoy!

Hi! Weekday Escape just arrived!

With Selfdefiant you need to escape a harbour and a desert, and to do that, you need to get to a boat and a mule. Crayfish imprisoned you in 3D room where are several very good puzzles to solve - just don't overthink them and notice, that sometimes you need more than one clue to figure them out. Then comes lovely game by Neko Donut, colorful and joyful. Don't miss it!
Bonus game by Asra Dreamer is 3D too, and it's hard. A good one, but it takes a while to get used to the controlling and navigate in the room.

Have a good time and enjoy!

During a turbulent day there were weird noises and then they moved Paul to a new place...other kids were all set free, all but one. Now it's time for Paul to try to escape the horrors of the Museum - it's time for the latest Forgotten Hill Tale by FM Studios!

Rinnogogo's hotel you are escaping from is awesome - not that it just looks comfortable, it is. Soft armchairs and sofas stand in every corner inviting to sit down and rest, maybe read something, and cold drinks are on small tables within reach. Why would anyone wish to get away from here?

Hi! Weekday Escape and Weekday Puzzle are here!

Selfdefiant takes you for two short trips to nature - to Montana and Nebraska this time. In tomoLaSiDo's escape you need to get out of a small house through the front door - through the back door you can leave much earlier in the game but it doesn't count. Willakelin's entry to Weekly Game Jam 249 is surprisingly atmospheric for a short game, and then comes a remake of Cabeza's escape (published on Primera site) - it's a good old game.

Two logic games follow, a platformer by Noa Dev and lasers-and-mirrors game by Salt Pastel Studio. The platformer is quite easy (as all Noa Dev's ones) and accessible for players not much experienced in platformers.

Have a good time and enjoy!

Notice, that Weekday Puzzle will not be posted tomorrow - puzzle games are in this Weekday Escape.

EA's Sims series of simulators is native to the computer, and the first games in it were released on the PC. However, with the growing popularity of smartphones, and most importantly - their technical capabilities, developers have a great opportunity to port their hits to this convenient platform. Smartphones are always at hand, which is what developers use. Gameplay in mobile games is often tied to logging into the game several times a day, which would hardly be possible on a computer. With smartphones, the entire gaming world is always at the user's fingertips.

Welcome to the newest Weekday Escape!

The situation with escape games - and with puzzle games, too - isn't getting any better. Therefore I've merged Weekday Escape and Weekday Puzzle in one post this week and we'll see what the future holds. If there are at least three good escape games, I would post regular Weekday Escape.

We start with two state games by Selfdefiant, Mississippi and Missouri. Then we've got tomoLaSiDo - at the moment the only dev who releases escapes regularly - and a short escape by Omura. Then follow two logic games, a puzzler by The4thAD and a sokoban-like game by Misc.261 Games.

We have two bonus 3D escapes this week by Dassyutu, nice ones, but controlling is not simple.

Have a good time and enjoy!

Notice, that Weekday Puzzle will not be posted tomorrow - puzzle games are in this Weekday Escape.

In a popular Neat Escape's restaurant you went to the restroom, and stayed there. Not voluntarily. You order is being prepared, you're hungry and thirsty but you can't leave - the door is locked. First it's wc cubicle's door, and after you open it, you find out that the door from the restroom is locked too - what's wrong with this place?

Welcome to Weekday Puzzle!

This week we've got three puzzlers. In a Sokoban-like puzzler by Rob Alvarez (rob1221) you need to create a path of light through the dark place. The block you push around does emit light but you often need more than one to clear a level. The second and the third game have simple rules and are less demanding on combination skills - in qkygames' game you need to rotate platforms in right angles, and in colorful and relaxing AleC Games' puzzler just connect two dots.

Have a good time and enjoy!

Welcome to the newest Weekday Escape!

At the beginning we have a double post by Selfdefiant, escapes from Minnesota and Louisiana - I'm posting the games in the order they were released, Mississippi etc. are coming later. The escapes are followed by extra short (but nice) escape by Dice. Then comes a gem by Tatsuyama, an escape which is a joy to play, resembling games which many fans miss so much. The last comes tomoLaSiDo with traditional April Fool's Day game.

Have a good time and enjoy!

Welcome to Mobile Monday!

The first comes an adventure escape from a pyramid by playPLANT (LIBERTY PLANT Inc.) and it's an exciting one - the pyramid collapses immediately after you leave it! Luckily, you don't know that and can explore the tombs and secret rooms without stress. If you're patient enough, you can take with you a big treasure. Then we have two similar escapes - by shou harata and Scaebako Productions (Mai Ukita). Both are standard escapes without complicated puzzles, with simple graphics and relatively short. Perfect relax.

All games are free and available in Google Play and in Apple Store.

The first game is medium-sized, the second and the third one are on a shorter side.

Welcome to Weekday Puzzle!

This week we've got a puzzler by Neonesque where you need to get through a set of dungeons trying to collect as many geodes as possible. In sunil's roguelike you move around tiles - the game offers much fun (after you get the rules). The last is platformer with emphasis on planning and thinking by Lunasii, and apart from being clever and amusing game it has a beautiful design and a soundtrack.

Have a good time and enjoy!

Hi! It's Wednesday with a new Weekday Escape!

Another week passed, and I have to post two last games from Vitamin Hana's archives since no new games arrived. Oh well. The two retro games concern climbing and repairing, and after you do what you need to, you can take a rest in Selfdefiant's forest. Only happy creatures live there - well the cobra doesn't seem very happy, it's in the attack position but can be driven away easily. The last is a demo of a dark adventure by Yliader...it doesn't take long but you can feel the game's atmosphere from it pretty well.

Have a good time and enjoy!

Notice, that in the next two weeks (starting Monday 28th March) I will not be posting anything (unless an outstanding big game occurs). I'll be mostly off the computer.

Welcome to Mobile Monday!

GBFinger Studio's (Chendgu GBFun Technology Inc.) escape is based on a story with magical elements and on top of that, you get to historical Japan. In the newest app by Nazokoi (Akina Kubota) you get to a magical world too, and you can stay there for a good while because the app contains more games as usual. The last game by Komorebi Group has an interesting concept - it's a good escape where you need to pass nine stages of pin pulling game to proceed.

All games are free. The first and the second game are available on Google Play and in Apple Store, the third game is for Android users only.

The first and the third game are medium-sized, the second is a package.
