Draw A Timeline

Incorporate all the steps into a timeline, clearly listing which comes before what. The time helps you know when you are on track or behind schedule.

Review And Assess
Periodically, take an honest assessment of the journey to your academic goals. What has worked so far? What hasn't? Are there steps that need to be done more often or ruled out entirely? A review would show you an overall picture of where you are with respect to where you are headed.

Great article. As an older gamer with a disability I have found video games help with my short term memory issues, critical thinking and solving problems. I feel they keep me sharp and more focused after playing. I like that these benefits are intrinsic to the games. Using video games to train in various ways makes them a very useful tool for educators. I always feel bad for those who don't 'get' why we game.
