In their latest game, Rinnogogo tells story inspired by Japanese folklore about Kaguya, a princess from the Moon. The story, set in the present day, has the same beginning as the original the fairy tale - one day a protagonist of the game finds a baby girl in the bamboo trunk and adopts her.
The game consists of three chapters and each takes place on Kaguya's birthday, the fifth, the fifteenth and the twentieth. Kaguya is a secretive girl from her youth, on her fifth birthday you need to look for her in your house where she's been hiding. How she grows up, she's coming home late...and you are worried because you don't know where she was and what she was doing, so you decide to look for her around the house. When you finally get to her, she's fine...just wanted to be alone for a while. Then comes her twentieth birthday, and she's gone again...
We've got a poetic, delicate and melancholic story. The art is awesome as always, and puzzles many with different difficulty - this time is added a new icon in the lower right corner of the gamescreen when you need to click and drag items. If stuck, there is an implemented hint system.
Enjoy!
I'm missing how to apply the
handle shapes clue to the four direction puzzle by the couch
I appreciate the "light bulb" hint but I am a dim person and even that help is over my head.
That one had me scratching my head as well, until I gave up and checked the lightbulb of wisdom.
The solution
requires a combination of two clues.
1) The 4 corners of the whiteboard have arrows pointing in the 4 cardinal directions.
2) The handles on the mugs tell you the order of the corners.
And you're checking the mugs from left to right, I think.
I can't remember the exact solution, but if you still have trouble, holler, and I'll check it when I get a chance.
One thing that always gets me with those sorts of puzzles
You have to double-check whether the clues refer to the inside or outside corners.
in this case, it's the inside because the clue only shows a + shape, not four squares. Make sense?
Thanks!
That perspective helped with some of the other puzzles too.
Now I am wandering around with a cake and have no idea what to do with it.
The cake was so pretty that I totally missed the
little key that opens the upstairs door. You don't really see it until you have picked up the cake.
