In the third chapter of Cursed Travels by Ferociter (Casper Van Dommelen) we again meet curse investigator Farold Roberts with his trusty winged companion Atzalar, and with professor Fargleton and his strange equipment they are up to to break the powerful seal and vanquish powerful demon for good.
Our heroes arrive to a dense forest where rest the last remnants of a fearsome demon sealed in a cave. The demon's spirit has been significantly weakened but also fragmented so they need to travel around the forest and place seal breakers at precise spots determined the professor. His breakers work perfectly, unfortunately he has only two and some seals consist of more than two parts, so our invetstigator must show agility. Much of agility.
The game is dark and atmospheric with good soundtrack, and the mystery behind the game keeps players hooked until the very end.
Controlled by AD/Cursor keys, Z/K/Up/W to jump, X/L to interact, Down/S to crouch, P pause, M mute.
Both previous chapters are excellent games which combine a puzzler and platformer with emphasis on intriquing puzzles and an interesting story. In the first chapter few tasks require quick and precise jumping which may be hard for some players but they are only few. The second chapter is similar, you also need to jump around a bit, but it's not undoable. The third chapter - this one - is more a platformer than a puzzler, and is more demanding because timing is pretty crucial here.
Chapter 3
Chapter 2
Chapter 1
I tried to play these. I ended up watching the video walk throughs.
If you have any kind of hand impairment or are not skilled in hand eye coordination, then these might be not doable. The jumping in the dark was too much for me.
Still, I really like the style of the games. Well done.
This one is the most demanding. It requires good eye-hand coordination. Imho the easiest is Chapter 4, then Chapter 2, Chapter 1 and Chapter 3 is the hardest hands down.
