It's been four years since we had the opportunity to enter the wonderful world of Jo99 and Kronsilds. Now they're back with a beautiful and touching story about Alice, who travels across time to a closed mine looking for someone...

[Edit: due to slow loading added alternative link (Newgrounds)]

Maybe Alice wouldn't have gone anywhere if it weren't for her cat Grisette. She has picked up Alice's pendant and run out and her owner has no choice but to follow her. Before Alice sets off, she needs to look around the apartment and see if she can find anything to take with her. It might also be important to read up on the mines before she leaves.

Iron Mining Company have been closed for a long time, but we still hear the industrial sounds of the mines in operation all the time...and the mines are not completely abandoned either. Here's the thing though, the miners Alice meets on her journey aren't exactly real...her cat is though, and so Alice follows her on and on. Will you go with her?

The long wait for a new game from Jo99 and Kronsildswas worth it. The hand-drawn scenes are breathtaking and since the game moves slowly, you have plenty of time to appreciate them. The cursor changes and that's a good thing - you might otherwise miss important objects in the rich and colourful scenes. The game doesn't autosave but does offer the option to manually save. You can return to the game when you're done.

Enjoy!

Lovely game, but that method of loading scene-by-scene was awful. If there's any slowness from their server or your connection, it's going to make for a miserably slow experience. It would better if they loaded the entirety of the game right off the bat, or made the game available as a download. (I imagine some optimization of assets wouldn't hurt, either. Nothing in that game should have required that much data.)

In the scene where the crow comes to rest on a barrel, there's a movement node on the left which takes you up the metal stairs to the door. For me, it didn't respond for over a minute after I clicked it. But it does work and will eventually start you climbing. If you click it and it doesn't immediately switch to a closeup of the stairs, be patient!
