Wacky Pirate This mobile and browser game is a delirious little reflex test that's sure to keep you on your toes. Release bombs to hit enemy ships and snag their loot, but be sure not to sink pirate vessels. There are also ice bergs to contend with, and some floating tokens you'll need to grab before they disappear.

Jacob and the Magic Piano Nerdook is back, and once again here to hybridize disparate game genres, this time as an entry for Ubisoft's Project Eden game contest. Jacob and the Magic Piano, a game which deftly combines platforming, music, and tower defense gameplay is the result. A starving artist's unknown Aunt has passed away, leaving him a cat, a chest of drawers, and a piano... a magic piano. Playing the piano releases the spirits resting within, but also the golden stars that are the key to accessing the possible riches of the chest. Can Jacob slay the spirits and save the stars? It's all up to the power of music!

Treasure of the Abandoned City Treasure of the Abandoned City is an action adventure game from Alec Stamos with artwork by Todd Luke. Turbo Golf Golf gets a little chaotic as turboNUKE kicks the sport into overdrive in their quirky spin on the game. Compete in a race to see who can get their ball in fastest against other golfers at the same time, dodging UFOs in addition to sandtraps, and nab coins to spend on equipment upgrades. It's weird, wacky, and whacky. Geddit? Because, y'know, you whack... the balls... and... oh, just play it.

Modern Mystery Modern Mystery is the escape title of the week this time around. The game, naturally, begins with you trapped in a rather comfy lounge-like room. It's nicely furnished—a bit of abstract art on the walls, a potted plant, two leather chairs, a laptop computer—but you still want out by any means. Go around collecting objects, putting clues together, and solving puzzles in order to collect more objects, hopefully at some point getting one or both of those doors open and terminating your confinement.

Para Cute Short and sweet, Para Cute sends a teddy-bear out searching for a gift for his beloved the old fashioned way. Parachuting through a series of caves and warp points to collect as many hearts as he can! At only six levels, Donut Games has crafted a tasty little title suitable for your coffee break, or any other time you feel the need to go awwwww.

The Comet's Calling They're just your average monsters living in a junkyard trying to gather all the food and materials they can before the place closes at the end of the month! A simple and repetitive action game that still manages to shine and charm thanks to a great sense of humour and endearing story and characters.

Black Bit Ninja 2 This physics puzzle game has you launching your legless, square, pixelated ninja man through the air with the mouse, having him slice and dice red enemy ninjas along the way. Take careful aim to avoid pitfalls and traps.

The Unforgiven Room The opening scenario of Unforgiven Room is a nod to Takagi-san's original escape-the-room games, Crimson Room and Viridian Room, in which you wake up with a headache and can't remember a thing, nor even where you are. Such is the begining of a classic escape-the-room adventure.

Ultimate Robotoru Robots? Check. Bad guy? Check. Orbital laser and other ridiculously overpowered special attacks? Check check check! Awkward comedic translation?... uhhh... Berzerk Studios serves up an over-the-top arcade shooter complete with a heavy sense of parody, flashy attacks, and just enough frenetic bullet action to spice up your lunch break.

Park Escape Enter the eerie world of a playground at night and try to escape before becoming totally creeped out in this fun new escape from Dassyutu. The puzzles are a fun mix, mostly use of found objects and observational skills involving colors and shapes. There is almost no dialogue, but what's there is in English.

Bomboozle 3 Megadev's addictive match-3 puzzle game series is back, and this time it's also for iOS and Android! Make matches of three or more coloured blobs to increase your score and advance the game, but watch out for skulls, bombs, and more!

Trip Around The Globe Should you have a yen for social studies trivia, Trip Alone The Globe, an arcade game by Symbio Digital, will more than satisfy that worldy desire. It's a simple challenge of collecting trivia questions, then driving a (somewhat difficult to maneuver) car to the proper location to score points. The graphics are pretty (if a little CPU-intensive), the questions are goofy, but clever, and while the game take only a couple of minutes to play, they'll be good minutes. All that's missing is Rockapella on the soundtrack.

RedWhite Slice RedWhite Slice is a short action puzzle that's a mix of Fat Slice and JezzBall, whose strength is in its level design and aesthetics. It's not very long or difficult, but at about ten minutes of tidy design, it's a great way to spend a coffee break.

Ruffian! In Broken Pixel's stylish, tongue-in-cheek, old-timey projectile puzzler, you're a most vile criminal indeed, whose deadly eye and deadlier pistol can take down men, women, and children alike with only a few shots... provided you know where to place them!

Break Them Out Breakout: This time its personal! Your friends (and some precious ores) are trapped in the over-hanging blocks, and it's up to you and your bouncing pick-axe of destruction to bust them out. Each friend you rescue grants you a power-up option to use in future levels. Watch out for stalactites though! A very familiar, but very fun entry of CGDC9.

Puzzle Monsters It's a good-natured game of turf wars as you clear the board of all but the last monster standing. Simply roll an adjacent monster into another monster to push him off, continuing the process until all but one remains. Over time, the set-ups are more complicated requiring strategy and planning to complete.

Blast Billiards Revolution All it takes is a few pounds of explosives to turn boring billiards into a blowout of fun! And deadly. Mostly deadly. As a safer alternative, we suggest trying Blast Billiards Revolution, a take on the table sport where you've got to pot the balls before time runs out and things start to get combust-y. There's not a lot of room for mistakes, but if you can become the king of the cue, you can have a lot of fun with the varied challenges this game provides.

Hormiga Escape There's not a lot of game here, but what there is is casual gameplay done right. Simple, elegant, easy on the eyes, and over quickly, Hormiga Escape is the perfect little point-and-click gem to go with your early morning coffee, a quick five-minute workout for your brain to kick start the day. Help a little ant get home before disaster strikes!

Lazerman In this frenetic physics action title from NSBrotherhood, you play as Lazerman, a fighting robot that has lost everything but his head. But he's going to get it back, even if he has to destroy the entire lab to do it! It's a game of visceral thrills more than strategy, but when brute-force is so fun, who can mind?

Red Jet Rabbit Man, don't you ever want to get off the launch treadmill? If only we could destroy this stupid car, we could forget about this whole getting-to-the-right business and get with that cute rabbit in the corner of the screen. Hey baby you so fine baby. Red Jet Rabbit puts you in the cartoonish driver's seat to destroy a mad scientist's car, which will win you a kiss... somehow.

Cyndre Phase With a score mechanic that challenges you to hone your accuracy and rack up combos, this simple but fast-paced and oh-so-sleek arcade shooter sees you blasting down wave after wave of enemy rockets and missiles across three challenging levels with big bosses.

Impulse (EdGE) Watch, learn, adapt... oh, and don't get blown up. Impulse is part physics puzzle, part arcade game, with obstacles modeled after Newton's Laws of Motion. Get the green ball to the portal by generating a pulse that moves anything around it... sounds simple, right? But when propulsion, gravity, positive and negative charges and more come into play, you'll find it's anything but.

Purism A previous project from FonGeBooN, Purism follows the same formula we're used to: you're stuck in a room, and you have to solve all manner of puzzles to get out of it. Some noticeable features of this particular room include some unusual panels in the walls, a door with no handle, a small chest of drawers, some metallic shelves, and a sculpture with many red, blue, and yellow balls. All of these will be instrumental in your ultimate departure.

Fancy Maze (Case 01) Fancy Maze is a classic room escape and a fun little time waster in which there are a lot of fun things to discover and puzzles to solve. Wander around, pick things up, see if you are up on the latest (and not so latest) technology, and see if you can find the two different endings in this amusing game.

Doodle God Blitz JoyBits' newest incarnation of their mobile spin on the Doodle God element-creating puzzle game series comes to your browser, with flashier visuals and quests, though some frustrating ads and a slew of (optional) in-game purchases may not win everyone over.

Rich Rich Lip Bianco-Bianco is back with a simple, two-end scenario room escape that plays on the love of freedom and the open road with some pretty sweet custom bikes and a throbbing soundtrack that makes you want to fly down a deserted highway with the wind in your hair.

Senso Rabbit Senso Rabbit, the star of Mighty Ducks Entertainment's debut action-strategy game, may lack sight, but he'll need all his other senses to make it through the minefield and grab his desired carrots. An unusual game with a strange sense of strategy to it, Senso Rabbit might not appeal to players in the mood for something twitchy. Those of a methodical mindset, however, should find it quite charming.

Magical Sphere 2 Bianco-Bianco delivers a short but happily weird escape game with two endings. Trapped in a room with some strange artifacts and mysterious boxes, will you be able to find a way out?

Cell Kingdom Manipulate cells and bacteria to your liking in this shiny match-3 game. As you play scientist, get three of the same cells adjacent to each other to form a higher grade cell. Trap pesky bacteria to stop their roaming, and complete level goals to move on. Don't forget to try the shop if you get stuck!

Canoniac Launcher 2 Jimmy's back, stranded on a strange planet, and ready to be a robot cannonball yet again in Canoniac Launcher 2, FunBunGames' sequel to their 2011 action launch title. For better or for worse, it's closer to a standard launch game than the original, but fortunately, improved gameplay is part of that package. If you enjoyed the original or you just like launchers in general, you might want to check this one out.

Another Pretentious Game A simple but evocative (and maybe a little blunt) puzzle game about the games we play with the people we love from Keybol. Draw lines to connect the coloured dots while dancing around obstacles, using direction and momentum to get there.

In DeGrade, that formula gets flipped on its head because the further you get in each world, the more weapons you lose! 24killers This party is hopping, but it's hard to enjoy it when someone wants you dead, and everyone is strange enough to be a suspect. That's... an extreme sort of party game. Couldn't you have just played charades?

Stolen Sword Stolen Sword is a gravity-bending puzzle platform game by NowGamez about a knight whose quest to retrieve a stolen sword will have him bouncing from ceiling to floor. A high difficulty level may make it off-putting to some, but overall the game's puzzles have a nice sense of logic to them that is satisfying to complete.

Abandoned: The Cube Chambers Popular point-and-click game Abandoned gets a puzzling spin-off in this atmospheric escape game that sees you lost in maze-like rooms. Though beautifully designed from an aesthetic point of view, its puzzles might be too vague and unintuitive for many.

Timebot Timebot is an action puzzle game entered into our recent game design competition. It's a game in which you must guide a robot throughout several levels. The objective is to roll onto switches that open doors or materialize platforms and make it to the exit within the time given. The replay mechanic in Timebot turns what would otherwise be a simple platform puzzle game on its head and creates something truly outstanding.
