Each round, a random combination of these squares lights up orange, and you must choose one of them. Slayin Slayin isn't a game, it's a time machine rocketing from an 8-bit past. Insectonator Bugs and I have an uneasy friendship. On the one hand I can appreciate the beauty of creation in their skeletons, the elegance of their societies, and the important role they play in our ecosystem. On the other hand, should one drop down the back of my shirt, talks are going to break down pretty quickly. It is to the latter part of my psyche that Insectonator, the new shooter from SonarGames, is aimed. It might not be too nice to all things great and small, but if you have a hankerin' for some arthropod blastin', it'll be sure to catch you in its web.

Can you spread your plague enough to rule the board?

Alice House: No. 3 House of White Rabbit Short, sweet, and perhaps a bit too simple, this latest installment of Funkland's escape series traps you in a very frilly parlor indeed, and you'll need to find items with lizards on them before you can get out.

Pinata Hunter Gameplay in Pinata Hunter is simple and distinctive, as you swing your mouse Wii-mote style to bludgeon your quarry for tasty treats. After a few upgrades it's immensely satisfying (and addicting). Like squeezey stress toys, or inflatable punching bags, no one can accuse relentlessly beating on a colorful elephant sculpture for candy to be a deep experience, but you'll hardly care once you can fill the screen with flying candy.

Fail-Safe Fail-Safe is a work of interactive fiction created by Jon Ingold. It could be one of the strangest text-based games you've ever seen (in a simple, subdued kind of way), as Ingold removes all meta-commands from the parser, forbidding you do to things like saving your progress. But there's a good reason for this. Fail-Safe immerses you so deeply in the world that even the conventions of playing a game would snap you out of it. And when you start playing, you'll see why that's a crucial part of the experience.

Concerned Joe In Concerned Joe, the title character has to move or he'll die, and it'll take all your platforming skills to get him through nineteen fiendish puzzle and trap-filled stages. Let It Glow It might be a well-worn concept, the stalwart physics game, but something about Vyacheslav Stepanov's latest puzzle game, Let It Glow, really shines. Lots of physics games fall apart because of shoddy engines: bad inertia and unpredictable movement; or poor level design. Let It Glow is a carefully-crafted experience done right.

Lesbian Spider-Queens of Mars No wait, come back! This one is satire, I promise! Escape from the Pumpkin Room Occasionally it's nice just to sit back, relax, and fire up the little gray cells to solve a series of puzzles rather than fry them from constant adrenaline. Find 10 Cookies You're locked in one again, and this time the only way to escape... is to find and eat 10 cookies! What sort of monster would design such a delicious trap?!... well, MayMay, of course!

Grand Adventure! You wake with a headache, remembering only a smiling girl, but it quickly becomes apparent that something is seriously wrong in this freaky retro action adventure that's worth playing despite a lack of polish.

Leaf Blight If you celebrate Arbor Day and always thought a logic puzzle was just what the holiday needed, then Leaf Blight is for you. In this relaxing game, snip off the infected leaves in the correct order to keep your trees healthy and strong.

Blosics 3 Click and drag to launch a ball and knock blocks off a platform. It's a simple premise, but IGrek Productions has used it to steal the time of many an online gamer. Now the popular series of physics shooters is back with Blosics 3. The blocks and bullets are anthropomorphized this time around, which probably has something to do with the popularity of those enraged avians everyone is talking about these days. Still, whether or not the sprites have eyes on them make no difference when it comes to gameplay.

Nobushi This wonderfully weird escape-the-room game has all the characteristic surrealism you expect from Detarou. The puzzles are quite thinky but never unfairly difficult. That doesn't mean Detarou won't try to trick you so keep your eyes open, and do your best to avoid, the "bad" end. Collect all ten Saito figures and find the red stamp if you want the very best ending. You might have to jiggle a pudgy belly to get there, but the fun you have along the way makes it worth it.

Condition When does science go too far? How advanced can an artificial intelligence get before it is too advanced? And at what point does an homage cease to be an homage? The answers to these questions and more can be found in Condition, a sci-fi platform shooter by abielins and Lycheesoup that's just a little reminiscent of Cave Story.

Pinata Hunter 2 Yellow Bouncy Ball knows how badly you need something to release all that pent up stress that, if you were to hold it all in, might turn you into the Hulk. Or get you a nice white jacket along with a soothing white padded cell. Regardless, they're back with Pinata Hunter 2! With upgrades abound your only job is to beat the candied goodness out of some poor pinata who doesn't seem to be concerned with its ultimate demise. Take a break from the world and try your hand at a bat or a samurai sword while proving to your parents that you could have handled a pinata on your seventh birthday, if they had only listened!

Regrebluli As per usual with Tonypa games the difficulty curve in Regrebluli is pretty steep, but that's about the only complaint there is with this addictive, entertaining game. The one thing we can always count on with Tonypa is a simple idea (plain stark graphics and elementary gameplay) done exceedingly well.

Stamp Rally Escape 1 Wan and Nyan, the jumping dog and punching cat, are back for this epic journey to collect stamps in Stamp Rally Escape 1 from Cogito Ergo Sum. The animal heroes receive a piece of mail from a mysterious organization that has created several room escapes just for them to get out of, and at the end are the promised presents. And though at the end all you get is a special gold stamp (you will need three to get the promised cool present), you also have the promise of more to come. So join Wan and Nyan on their quest for consumer goods of an undetermined variety.

Aries Escape: Episode No. 16 You meant to meet your boyfriend at the radio station, but somehow you've gotten yourself lost and somehow locked yourself in this studio... It's Aries Escape: Episode No. 16! A charming experience for both new and experienced genre fans, it'll definitely make you want to stay tuned to further works from the author.

Stalwart If to be 'stalwart' is to be filled with resolve, courage and physical endurance, then it's fair to say that Jonathan Whiting's game may bring out the little stalwart knight in all of us. This is a game that presents simply with pixel art and easy to master controls, but a closer look reveals its true side-scrolling, platform and challenging avoidance essence. And all with rhythm!

Cosmic Commander If there's one sci-fi rank that has the highest level of awesome associated with it, it's "commander". Some of the greatest protagonists of all space-time have it appended to their name: Riker, Sisko, Adama... Keen. So it's only fitting that when puzzle-master Johnathan May chooses to surprise us with rocking a vertical-side-scrolling space shooter, that he should dub it Cosmic Commander. And let me tell you, it has a challenge more than worthy of its station.

The Peacekeeper Peace! Houh! What is it good for? Well, something apparently, as the various factions of Berzerk Studio's new defense shooter, The Peacekeeper, want it, and are willing to slaughter everything in their path to get it. A visceral burst of just-mindless-enough entertainment, The Peacekeeper is a bloody and hilarious good time, if a little repetitive in the endgame

Dillo Hills Sad armadillo is sad because he can't fly like the birds. He can run and roll, though, and with your help, he can do something remarkably close to flying! Dillo Hills is a browser-based action game similar to the iPhone release Tiny Wings. All you do in this simple physics-centric title is hold the [down] arrow key to dive towards the hills. When you hit terra firma you start to roll, coasting along the slopes to gain more and more speed. Release the button and soar high into the sky, picking up speed and traveling to distant lands in the process!

Grey Matter Grey Matter is an anti-shooter, which means that you can't actually shoot. You are the bullet, and you attack by directly colliding with the exposed brain-meats of your enemies. It looks great and sounds even better. The gameplay has all the depth of a modern professional shoot-'em-up, thanks to the combo system. Grey-Matter is perfectly playable without using the Trinity Attacks, but if you do employ them, it becomes almost like a hyperactive, twitchy puzzle game.

When royalty is hankering for something sweet to eat, they don't call the baker... they call the ninja, of course! In this cute point-and-click puzzle adventure from Detarame Factory, you'll need to travel around solving conundrums and getting past obstacles to find all the ingredients to make the emperor a delicious roll cake!

Sinjid: Shadow of the Warrior Infrarift Entertainment presents Shijid: Shadow of the Warrior, an arena RPG about a ninja completing the final stage of his training, in preparation of facing the warlord who killed his father. From 2005, the limitations of the then-current Flash engine take a little getting re-used to. However, as a browser RPG, its battles and gameplay were ahead of its time, and yet the limitations of the engines gives the game a charming retro quality.

Aries Escape No. 17 Gyms are great places to be (unless there's a tabata drill in your future and a manic gleam in your trainer's eye), but in this escape game in the popular Aries Escape series, if you ever want to find a way out, you'll have to exercise your brain by solving a whole lot of puzzles and codes!

Rebuild the Universe This incremental game features the very foundations of reality itself as your currency. Click to buy subatomic particles and generate atoms which you can use to spend on more and more complex forms of matter as you go. Protons and neutrons give way to blood cells and coffee beans. A fascinating educational game.

The Telekinetic Incident In The Telekinetic Incident, a love letter to Portal by Matthew Fearrington, you play as a woman named Sarah Walker. That is, you play as a clone of Sarah, and you've been given telekinetic abilities by Ifrit Incorporated. Can you lift, laser, clone, and forcefield your way through Ifrit's facilities and learn the story of how you came to be there? At least there's no shortage of clones.

Riftic There are some scientists who believe that an action on one side of the universe has an effect on a galaxy on the other side. There are also scientists who believe that placing colored orbs in an astral grid is an excellent mental challenge. Riftic is a puzzle that pulls together both leagues of scientists with a challenge of logic and mental dexterity.

Mansion Impossible This next game offers fun via the buying and selling of houses on a rapidly changing real estate market. Mansion Impossible is an action strategy Flash game in which the object is to make enough money to buy the millionaire's mansion and end the game, all within the quickest time possible.

Button Escape 24 There are eleven buttons you need to find and click in order to escape from this challenge by Tototo Room, but first you need to get in touch with nature to solve the puzzles in your way...
