GrowThe first in the series of Grow games to be created by On of Eyezmaze from Japan. Such attention to detail went into every aspect of the game, from its animation and sound, to its graphics and gameplay. Grow is a very simple game to play, and a delight to watch the magic within it unfold.

ZombotronMost shooters not physics-sy enough for you? Then fire up Ant Karlov's creative spin on the genre! Start with sprawling levels, mix in some highly destructible scenery, and sprinkle liberally with zombies, machines, skeletons, and explosive barrels, and you've got a recipe for success. (... success... tastes funny... )

Hello Worlds!Good morning, sleepyhead! It's time to spring up and say Hello Worlds! This simple looking but clever platform puzzler combines multiple screens into a single level, where obstacles present in one place can halt your progress in another. Learn how to guide your protagonist(s) through this strange world by collecting coins, opening doors, and combining everything to get some fresh perspective.

ASCIIvaniaWe all love metroidvanias! But would we still love them if, instead of controlling a scifi bounty hunter, or a badass vampire slayer, we played as the alphabet? Answer: Yes! And ASCIIvania, an exploration platformer by Gharding3, is the proof! ASCIIvania is clearer documentation, a map screen and a mute button away from excellence, but its still a fun time.

Music BounceMusic Bounce is a bit like Breakout, but with an unlikely musical twist. Each level presents you with a different layout of colored bricks. Your job is to wipe them all out by striking them with ammunition from an array of gates on the left side of the screen. And if everything is running properly, Music Bounce can be magical.

Death Vs. MonstarsThis is the kind of efficient plotting and character design I like to see in a shooter. What's your motivation for exterminating vast populations of cute eyeballey critters? Well, you're Death, you see, and in a shocking twist, you like to kill stuffs. No city in peril, no alien threat—all you want to do is *bang* *bang* *bang* *bang* and a *clunk* *ka-ching* and take their money. A smartly-built shooter, with a clever mouse-only control scheme that lets you carve your way through the hordes like buckshot through sherbet.

Santa in the Southern IslandsTake a break to enjoy Tesshi-e's very unseasonal Christmas present to all room escape fans! Featuring some familiar things (it just wouldn't be Tesshi-e without Mr. Birdy and a wobbly picture puzzle, would it?) and some new, Tesshi-e is in fine form with a host of amusing and challenging puzzles dealing with logic, math, color, and a little intuition. With its lush tropical backgrounds (time for a beach vacation!), zippy music, and thought-provoking puzzles, Santa in the Southern Islands is a welcome room escape any time of the year.

The Song of FlowersIn this sequel to Robamini's The Seeds of Eden, we return to the same peaceful walled garden to find new puzzles to solve. The user-friendly design keeps the experience relaxing and easy, although the last task involves a bit more challenge. Robamini's creativity and visual delights promise plenty to entertain while you're here.

Red RogueAvailable in action-RPG or classic turn-based flavour, this moody roguelike from Aaron Steed and music maestro Nathan Gallardo is deliberately mysterious. Descend into a dungeon searching for an amulet with your undead minion, figuring everything from the backstory to the deeper gameplay mechanics as you go. Oh, and tearing off the faces of your enemies and wearing them for bonuses and enchantments. Hooray!

Escape from the Woody RoomOnce again we are faced with the classic Tesshi-e escape-the-room scenario, to wit: We have been invited by "him" to a cabin somewhere (and what a great invite that is, let's go to an isolated cabin somewhere in an unspecified place with a guy we only know as "him"). Unfortunately, he's already gone and once again we are locked into a gorgeous space, looking for a way out. Everything you expect is there, navigation bars at the sides of the screen to move around, lots of interesting items to examine or pick up, clues and puzzles at every turn.

You Are Lucky! You Are Lucky! is a gorgeous little game, created by Shuichi Oshida, that is a cross between a point-and-click game and one from the Grow series. The aim is to uncover all ten of the characters (who look a bit like WarBears with pastel coloured turds on their heads). Unlike Grow, you don't have a list of items to check off - simply click things and see what happens.

Gatamari Escape #22This clever escape game by Gatamari is themed around spelling English words to make things happen around the room, with puzzles that are challenging whether they're about wordplay or not.

Neutral Mini Escape GameNeutral Halloween mini-game is what I'm calling this cute and easy escape game with a Halloween theme (well, it used to have a Halloween theme. The pumpkin has been replaced with a piggy bank now.) It features the same excellent implementation features of all the other Neutral games, along with simple yet appealing and effective graphics. I'm sure you will find this one worthwhile of your time!

The Ballads of Reemus: When the Bed BitesThe Kingdom of Fredicus is a place that loves its heroes. Unfortunately, Reemus, exterminator extraordinaire and overshadowed brother to the local dragon slayer, is having trouble convincing that populace that he deserves a little undying adulation. Sure, later in life he'll have Several Journeys to prove his bravery against invading death slugs. Right now, though, it's early in his adventure gaming career, and even after his first minimal-property-damaging bug slaying, he's have trouble getting people listen to the glorifying ballads written by his faithful bear companion, Liam. So a-questing he goes, in search of glory, gratitude, and, most importantly, a soft bed. It's The Ballads of Reemus: When the Bed Bites, the first premium downloadable adventure game in the popular series, produced by the newly minted Click Shake Games! And while the anticipation may have driven us all a little buggy, it was totally worth it.

Blocks With Letters On 4Marty Sears' popular combination of anagrams, block-sliding, hilarious animations, and hair-pulling difficulty has become a quadrilogy with Blocks With Letters On 4. It's as punishing and as hilarious as it's ever been, and this time, the background is green!

Free Rider 2Free Rider 2 is a sequel that continues the more interactive spin on the Line Rider formula. Using a large tool set you can sculpt, edit and decorate the environment any way you choose. When you're done, take to the arrow keys and drive your rider through the stage. It's webtoy-meets-level-editor kind of experience, and it's even better than the original.

The Happy Escape 9If you've ever daydreamed about taking the sort of vacation that involves solving puzzles and playing escape games all day long, Tesshi-e has you covered with a trip to their "Escape Hotel", where wonderful things await those who can find all the Happy Coins... if the oh-so-cozy atmosphere doesn't make you want to sleep the days away and never leave!

MinionsMinions is a Flash version of the ridiculously popular Defense of the Ancients mod, but instead of medieval fantasy warriors, you control little tank-bots with powerful weaponry and big muppet-like googly eyes. Created by Flash tower defense gurus David Scott and Paul Preece.

More Blocks With Letters OnBlocks With Letters On is a game that seamlessly combines language riddles with physical tile puzzles. Each level provides you with an assortment of blocks (with letters on), and you must find a way to position them in the supplied pink spaces so that they spell an English word. This sequel's difficulty picks up at the point where the last game left off. Which was already freakishly difficult. Be warned.

Chick Mini Games (Neutral)What better way to celebrate the season than with three games from beloved escape creator Neutral? Though each game is short, they're all definitely sweet, and since they're all linked together, make sure you play them in order!

Ninja MinerWhen you think of miners, the first association isn't necessarily "ninja". And that's where you're wrong, because ninjas have what it takes: mad digging skills, awesome velocity, and they look cool in a yellow helmet. Ninja Miner is a fast-paced arcade game with some puzzles thrown in, where your goal is to figure out your way around a level, picking up all the diamonds and stars and avoiding spikes, all at breakneck speed.

Og Og AliveOg Og Alive is an original concept action adventure game of life back in the stone ages when days were spent foraging for food and protection. Play as either male or female Og Og, and pay particular attention to the hints they give as you adventure through the game. This excellent and unusual game is part of the Game On initiative of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.

AcrobotsAcrobots are little 3-legged acrobatic robots that hop and jump around and react to each other. Together they form an unsual webtoy that includes impressive physics as well as some very fluid animation. Very nicely done by the same Vector Park folks that brought us Levers, and Feed the Head.

Warbears: Mission 2Warbears: Mission 2 is a brand new installment in the unique point-and-click game vaguely similar to Rob Allen's Hapland games. Controlling four bears via a context sensitive action menu, you must discover how to infiltrate a house filled with paintball-loaded dummies. An extraordinarily cute, funny and entertaining game by Gionatan Iasio of Italy.

Escape from OctlienFrom Aztec, creator of Escape from Island and Jinja (The Shrine), comes yet another superbly crafted point-and-click adventure game, Escape from Octlien. The sci-fi themed title drops you on a spaceship with very little information on what you're supposed to do. Explore the environment, collect items, and try and make your way through this lengthy and challenging game.

VanillaThe tree of Vanilla grows rapidly and becomes difficult to manage and balance if not cared for properly. Like the tree it's named after, Vanilla is a deliciously refreshing and original game from Eyezmaze that is simple to pick-up and play, but difficult to beat. The objective is to see how high you can make the tree grow before it tips too far towards either edge of the play field.

Jack FrostJack Frost, scowling star of the final game in Nitrome's informal 2007 winter trilogy (after Thin Ice and Snow Drift), is happiest when he is cold. Your job is to turn 40 levels of autumn-colored blocks and ladders into an arctic wonderland in this new arcade action game. Control Jack with the arrow keys: [up] to jump, [left] and [right] to walk, [up] and [down] to climb. Simply step on blocks or climb ladders to freeze them.

TripleJackTripleJack Poker is similar to other browser-based, free-money poker sites with a few extras that set it apart from the rest. Use your in-game chip stash to buy virtual gifts, even throw pies at that player that called your all-in with nothing and then sucked out on the river. It is, quite simply, one of the finest free-money online poker sites I have ever seen.

Papa's FreezeriaIn this time management game, you'll be serving sugary delights in the form of 'Freezer' sundaes to ever picky customers. It seems like it should be a breeze working for Papa at his new shop. After all, it's located on the tropical Calypso Island with a population of only twelve potential customers... oh, and I suppose that mob exiting the large cruise ship over there may decide to stop by too. You'll be fine, don't worry. Just in time to help you beat the heat of summer, sit back, grab a cold one (sundae, that is) and spend a few hours running Papa's Freezeria.

Hoshi Saga DokuringoIt seems like only a few days ago we were given a new installment in Yoshio Ishii's gorgeous Hoshi Saga series, and today another one, number 8, lands in our virtual laps: Hoshi Saga Dokuringo. But before you go off playing this one, please note the rating. This latest set of levels contains some risqué imagery, as well as some way more difficult levels.

Papa's CupcakeriaInstead of being forced to run the new business because Papa is a lazy jerk, this time you're working off a debt. As if making cupcakes to order fast food style weren't inherently hilarious and difficult enough, in addition to cranky customers, batters, frosting and more, you've also got the changing seasons to contend with... and the holidays they bring!

Bob the Robber 2Bob the charitable robber is back! Once again you can steal to your heart's content, and you don't even have to feel guilty about it. Help Bob stay out of sight of guards, watchdogs and security cameras, and empty every drawer and pocket you can find. It's all for a good cause, so do your best!

The Uncle Who Works For NintendoYou're spending the night at your best friend's house, and someone special is coming by at midnight. Michael Lutz, author of My Father's Long, Long Legs delivers an unsettling twist on familiar territory in this Choose Your Own Adventure Style interactive horror fiction.

Castaway 2: Isle of the TitansFans of the original Castaway will find much they like from the first game, plus many improvements. Castaway 2 isn't the deepest RPG around, but it's perfect for casual fans of the genre. The Isle of the Titans has a lot to do and a lot to see, and will keep casual RPG players well occupied. Just don't let it suck you in too much, or you might find that you suffer some light amnesia of your own.

The Pretender: Part 1Fantastic platform puzzler in which you play a Victorian magician who must correct a mistake by leading poor ghostly souls to a magic door. Including smart and elegant brain teasers that get increasingly more complicated as the levels progress. Altogether a fun and challenging new puzzle game from a promising new group of Flash game developers from New Zealand.

Battle PanicHave you met your orc slaughtering quotient for the day? No? Good, because In Battle Panic, a new strategy defense game by Kaiparasoft, your kingdom has been overrun by the orcish horde and it's up to you to take back what's yours and bring the fight to the enemy's homeland. Nothing new here, of course, but what makes Battle Panic stand out is its controls. To build, heal, destroy, and mine, just place your cursor over the object you want to interact with, no clicking required. Finally a strategy game for the truly casual!

The Visitor ReturnsLooking for a little Halloween every day? Then point-and-click through the latest Zeebarf/Steve Castro gore-fest, The Visitor Returns, another installment of the saga of the disturbing pink grub and his appetite for bloody, cartoonish mayhem.

The I of ItDo K and S resent C for horning in on their territory? Is it agoraphobia or contempt for the other letters that compels Q to stay at home unless U is close behind? What sort of twisted inter-literal love triangle makes I go before E, except after C? And what happens when a formally happy literal couple decides to call it splits? This last is the premise behind The I of It, a unique puzzle platformer, in which the "t" of the word "It" runs off, prompting "I" to set forth on a quest find him.

endeavorClassic metroidvania makes a comeback in this expansive, multi-ending platformer/adventure game from Zillix. Not to ScaleWhen you look at Not to Scale, you may be thinking, "A tile swapping puzzle that looks like the final project for someone's Flash Programming 101 course? What could possibly be worth my time here?" And you'd end up missing a really enjoyable experience. By using slots for the tiles of varying sizes, and carefully selected photographs, the game gives you a unique spatial sense twisting puzzle challenge.

Anika's OdysseyAnika's Odyssey: Land of the Taniwha is a beautiful point-and-click adventure by Tricky Sheep similar in style to Sprout. Skywire 2A sequel to Skywire by Nitrome is here and it exceeds the original in many ways, including 3 bosses across 30 all-new levels. AlchemiaAlchemia is an absolutely gorgeous new animated point-and-click adventure from Springtail Studio. Play a little hero after he shoots from the sky a bizarre looking creature. He sets off on an adventure to figure out what happened and to help his unfortunate new companion. Brilliant puzzles, illustrations and music abound, and some puzzles will require lateral thinking and problem solving rather than just simply clicking in the right areas in the correct sequence.

EvolutionEvolution has you wandering a rocky underground base filled with mysteries and puzzles, your only company an egg-headed scientist who really likes bananas and seems to have lost his pet cat. SphereSphere is a great-looking room escape by Japanese developer neutral. The challenge level is an almost perfect mix of vague clues and helpful hints that keep you interested without frustrating you.

Hanna in a ChoppaHanna in a Choppa is a physics-based puzzle/action game where you fly around and do stuff in a helicopter. It's true! Across 21 levels you'll perform a handful of ordinary, challenging, and downright funny tasks such as bake a cake (even though it's a lie), pull down a tower of goo, herd sheep, and give a giant a haircut, all with the aid of your trusty winch. The game creates a fun sandbox-type atmosphere and encourages you to play with the environment as much as possible. And play you shall!

Papa Louie 3: When Sundaes AttackPapa Louie can't catch a break... his cruise ship has been attacked by frosty enemies who have sucked him and all his customers into another dimension! Jahooma's LogicBoxBrightly colored shapes and arrows. Classical music. Devious programming puzzles. They're all key ingredients in Jahooma's LogicBox, a rather apt name for a game involving lots of boxes and logic and made by a developer named Jahooma. Like SpaceChem and Robot Unlock before it, Jahooma's LogicBox is a game for programmers, and a good one at that. At 18 levels including 4 challenge levels, LogicBox is a little short, but Jahooma promises more to come.

ScarygirlScarygirl is a huge (hours long) and absolutely stunning platform game just released today by a collaboration of companies, including art direction by concept creator, Nathan Jurevicius, an Australian-born artist now living in Toronto, Ontario. Although currently marred by gameplay issues causing player frustration, it is without a doubt one of the most visually appealing browser-based experiences we have ever seen.

Vector TD 2David Scott has just released a sequel to the stylish tower defense game, Vector TD, appropriately titled Vector TD 2. Infectonator 2 The latest in Toge Production's popular series of zombie action-strategy games, Infectonator 2 thrives on frenetic chain-reaction based gameplay, its awesome sprite art, and the pure adrenaline rush one gets by infecting the world, continent by continent. It may be a bit taxing on the CPU for such mindless fun, but that just means you'll keep going even after someone has taken a chomp from your brain

Isoball X-1Anything good is always better when there is more of it. So when Candyflame comes out with more Isoball, it's a no-brainer that it's going to be awesome. Merging the joy of a Hot Wheels track, a Lego set and a very fragile glass marble, Isoball X1 adds thirty-six more levels, eighteen hidden achievements and a complex sandbox to the player pleasing physics puzzler. Gameplay sounds simple: devise a route to move the ball from start to finish. Yet this feat is made complicated by a multifarious map, prescribed checkpoints and a limited number of building blocks. When you also take into account fun new pieces, a helpful "how to" menu and keyboard shortcuts, it's easy to see why Isoball X1 is not only compellingly addicting, it's more fun!

SalvadoorThere's an awful lot of pink in this soothing escape by TomaTea, and with puzzles aplenty and clues to crack their codes hidden around the room, finding your way out will take an eye for detail and an appreciation for the arts.

Portal DefendersIn a style reminiscent of Castle Crashers or classic games like Final Fight, Portal Defenders lets you take on the role of real-life Newgrounds head honchos Tom Fulp and Dan Paladin as they defend their Flash portal against hordes of cartoony parody villains. You might recognize some famous names from the Flash development world, like jmtb02 or Tyler Glaiel, right before you bash their heads in with your favorite kitchen utensil. There are enough in-jokes to keep any fan happy, and the production quality is top-notch. If you are not averse to ridiculous amounts of gratuitous violence, Portal Defenders is a blast!

Now you have to search around for clues and useful items, solve puzzles and gather up ten happy coins before you can get the heart-shaped key and unlock the exit door. Only then can you have a nice treat to fill your tummy before you leave. That's the Tesshi-e brand of fun which we know and love!

The Happy Escape 4Once in a blue moon Tesshi-e gets mischevious and builds an escape around finding not one, not two, but whole lot of lucky coins in a room. These escapes make Tesshi-e fans very happy, thus the title, The Happy Escape. GunbrickSee the icon next to this text? That's exactly the size of Nitrome's newest puzzle platformer, Gunbrick. You've got to roll, slide, and shoot your way to the exit in this compact 50x50 pixel game. It may be tiny, but Gunbrick is a big puzzle adventure. (Unless if you cheat and play the game in the larger frame... but what's the fun in that?)

Picture Logicit seems that many in the JIG community really like picross, and I do, too! Sometimes I'll delay working on economics homework just to play a game (or two or three or four) of picross. TwangTwang, as the sound of the title implies, is an elastic platform game in which you 'twang' a ball from start to goal in each level by pulling and releasing points that propel you forward as from a slingshot. It's the latest game from Nitrome, and it's a whole lot of fun.

KafkamêstoKafkamesto is an unusual and dark interactive narrative that will at first seem familiar to those acquainted with point-and-click adventures, but beware the futility in store. The over-arching narrative seems to be as much a statement about Kafka's own life as it is the themes he often wrote about.

The Scale of the Universe 2Similar in concept to the Total Perspective Vortex, from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, The Scale of the Universe 2 isn't really a game, but it'll still blow your mind. You start at human scale and can scroll all the way down to theoretical concepts like strings or all the way up to the potential size of the universe. That's pretty big, and you have to scroll for a long, long, long time time to get back to human scale from there. It's kind of terrifying, honestly. Try not to think about it too much.

Papa's BurgeriaThe customers are picky in the new restaurant sim Papa's Burgeria. Here comes a customer who wants a well-done burger with a pickle, then a tomato slice, then a dollop of mayo. Put the tomato on before the pickle? You're taking your life into your hands, bub. Get it right, and hear that wonderful sound of a fat tip hitting the tip jar.

Every Day The Same DreamA strange and even unsettling little experimental game about every day in the life of a faceless, unnamed man, Every Day the Same Dream somehow manages to be oddly affecting despite its grim and dark presentation. Is there anything at all that can break him out of his cycle? It won't take you long to play, but it may stay with you well after you've shut down the browser.

Hoshi SagaHoshi Saga is a simple game of discovery. One part point-and-click and one part puzzle game, the objective in each of the game's 36 stages is to find the star. The third chapter in this popular spy point-and-click adventure series is every bit as gritty and as challenging as previous installments.

How to Raise a DragonHow do you raise a dragon? As you progress through this unique interactive story adventure from Gregory Weir, you'll find it's more complicated than strapping on a pair of fireproof gloves and stocking up on cattle.
