Game developers will often provide players with tools that allow you to create your own level. In Level Editor, they've decided to skip the pre-made levels and just let you get straight to the level-building fun. You play a red hat-wearing stick man with an arsenal of building blocks and a craving for coins.

You have just escaped the locked room from episode 1 and the pirate is still sleeping off the sleepy spray you got him with prior to your escape, but you are still locked up on the pirate ship. You must look for items and clues to reveal a solution on how to get off the ship.

Escape from the Room with Three Keys 8 is less of a full room escape and more of a serial, one of those five to ten minute "to be continued" shorts shown before the main event. Here's a perfect way to take a short yet entertaining break that will leave you wanting more.

Think of Find the Escape-Men 43: EM-taro not as a feature film but as a lovely animated short, something to hold your attention for ten minutes or so and provide a lovely mid-week break.

Think you got skills? Swap back and forth between colors and test your brains and your fingers in this tough as nails platformer. Despite being insanely hard and none too friendly to the color blind, Chromatic is itself an awesome achievement. It molds together blistering skill platforming with puzzle platforming whilst injecting a unique concept into the gameplay, and it does this with few hiccups and awesome production values.

Sometimes you're in a mood for a simple, yet artsy deconstructed puzzle platformer. Deconstructed, you ask? Indeed, each level is broken into chunks and you have to make sense of it all while jumping around and trying not to break your neck. It's actually much more serene than it sounds: no complicated goals, no timers, just soothing music, poetic narration and beautiful gameplay.

Zerosum is an intense variation on match-3 puzzles, with strict policies on winning and losing but vast opportunities for strategy. Easy to learn, hard to master. Make matches by adding adjacent numbers together, but make sure you don't run out of digits to replace them! It's brain candy, once you get into it, like defusing a bomb constructed by an six-year-old arch-villain.

In this short and surreal atmospheric puzzle adventure, you'll need to search not only for a way out, but also for meaning.

The Podge's cute, cuddly, and ever-infernoey insect is back to set the world on fire once again in the puzzle platformer, Firebug 2. As before, the gimmick is that the protagonist will set everything he touches on fire, making speed a larger element than in most puzzle platformers. Refinement of the original's already fun gameplay, makes for a game that's a great for burning through a coffee break.

by Athletic Design is one of those point-and-click puzzle games that have you blitzing through a series of near-identical screens with a crafty puzzle to solve for each. However, here the Graphical User Interface is what poses the challenges, and you'll need every trick and option you can access to triumph. Perhaps it's a little too aware of it's own cleverness, but GUI Game is great game for shaking the cobwebs from the lateral thinking parts of the brain.

Strawberry Cafe designed room escape games usually contain a luscious mix of reds, pinks, and whites that together evoke images of strawberry desserts, and Enchanted Room Escape is true to form. Despite the minor flaws this is one of the better escapes from this designer, simple enough for a snack but complex enough to satisfy the appetite. Perhaps you'd better grab some munchies before you dive in, just in case, and prepare to be enchanted!

Bart Bonte's entry into the second Casual Gameplay Design Contest, Chicken Grow, once again showcases the mosaic-like artwork we have come to love from his games. The game centers around one impatient-looking chicken, waiting for you to feed and water it. Doing so requires you to solve two puzzles—one to turn on the water and the other to release chicken feed from a machine.

Your little brother might constantly annoy you with his delusions of being a squid (obviously, he's an octopus), but that doesn't mean he deserved to be fished up by a bunch of sailors! Now you'll have to go Kraken on their boat and tilt your brother to freedom. Slide him onto the keys with the help of crates, carts, and TNT. Just don't dump him into the water without unlocking that cage first!

What is it with gems and their desire to align in groups of three or more? In Aaron Steed's Drop Swap, you walk around the grid of gems, swapping places with every gem you encounter. Lining up three in a row clears them from the grid, but you've only got so many moves to make the necessary connections. Even though there's only five levels in this Puzzlescript-constructed game, there's plenty of replayability in the challenges provided.

Your cute-as-a-button spider guy is looking to feed his hungry kids some cake. Swing through each level, grabbing your kids and drop them in the general vicinity of their favorite birthday treat. Be sure not to eat it yourself!

Militia is a fantasy version of chess you never knew you needed till now. Clear the board of the Captains with your limited group of units to unlock more enemies, new fighters, and more challenges.
