A dead body with a mystery killer, internal affairs breathing down his neck over his less-than-tactful ways of getting at the truth and the chief expecting a quick investigation for the sake of public image. It's quite the wild ride that Rival Games offers in their point-and-click crime noir adventure title, The Detail - Episode 1: Where the Dead Lie.
