Dragon Quest is one of the easier physics games we've featured and it won't take you long to make your way through it. You might even be thinking that you could build such a game yourself, and you'd probably be right. There is nothing very complicated going on here.

Full of corny plot devices and lots of cheese, this part point-and-click adventure, part escape-the-room game is best played with tongue-in-cheek and a tolerance for rather clunky inventory controls. That adds up to a work that's 100% a love letter to arcade retro-gaming. Ephemeral, and a little heavy on the strobe-lighting, but overall an amazing spectacle.

"A four dimensional system represented in two dimensions". Sound confusing? Well, just try it out. This deceptively simple turn-based puzzle game uses its clever concept to craft some devious levels, though a lack of explanation of its mechanics and restrictions will make it feel rough around the edges for some.

Due to the emphasis on drifting, you don't carve the turns so much as shred them. It gets the controls right, it looks pretty, it makes crashing sounds at all the right times, and it rewards you for breaking stuff. Give it a spin.

Puzzle Farter is a fun little platformer with a unique twist on the usual mechanic. Armed with only natural gas, make your way to the exit of each level. The physics in Puzzle Farter are elegant, yet difficult to master. One fart will only get you so far or so high, and it takes a moment for his gas to recharge. What the game lacks in music or plot, it makes up for with simple charm and giggles.

While jetpacks are the futuristic invention people traditionally desire, for me I've always wanted a laser cannon... for entirely peaceful purposes, of course. I mean, they just have so many uses around the house: hedge-trimming, apple-coring, and causing the cartoonish demise of annoying critters. It is the latter that Laser Cannon 2, the new physics puzzler from Max Derevyagin and team, focuses on. A shade sadistic in concept? Perhaps, but if the creatures didn't want to be laser-blasted, then they shouldn't look so much like Furbies.

It's a simple little game that makes for big fun.

And there are... things out there. Subbania is a metroidvania-style action-adventure by ektomarch, where cosmic horrors lurk in the depths. Quite unsettling and atmospheric, if a little stingy on save points.

Create designs, in this simplistic puzzle game, by following the actions each level gives you and thinking a bit outside the box. Add, subtract and invert the glowing little boxes to match the goal shape while enjoying the serenity of the music and peace of the game.

Remember Pipe Dream (or Pipe Mania)? That old game where you put the pieces of pipe in the grid to make a really long chain? In Slipe, the pipework has already been put down for you, you've just got to slide it all into place. Unlike most sliding puzzles where you're just sliding one tile at a time. Slipe forces you to slide entire rows and columns, putting a tricky spin on an old classic.

What you can see will absolutely kill you. Whether it burns you up, makes you explode, or goes for the good ol' fashioned spike through the gut depends on what the trap is. In this challenging platformer, keep track of two screens at once, where the conflicting reflections are always dangerous.

You might think that the combination of Boys' Life, the monthly Boy scouting magazine for ages 6-18, and retro-action-meister Hamumu make for an unexpected pairing. Heck, I was a cub scout and even I find it a little strange. However, I do know that when the creator of the Robot Wants series releases a pixel platformer based around a trio of differently-abilitied characters fighting their way through an alien landscape: I'm there. That game is Mad Planet, and it's got quality worthy of a merit badge.

Exploring a dark world where no rule stays the same for long one woman must wander around searching for something that she can't remember. From the mind of Mister No Wind's Studio you can be sure this platform game is going to be one surreal adventure.

The Bar is a breathtakingly beautiful point-and-click room-escape game that begins with an intriguing story of a couple who promise that if they parted they would meet again in 50 years at this bar. The lovers have separated, time has passed, and here you are waiting at the empty bar. But... where is she? It is an atmospheric room-escape game that steals you with its ambience and stunningly rendered scenery then holds you with some challenging puzzles.
