Sokoboom It may look sweet and simple, but don't let it fool you, because this Sokoban-style puzzle game is going to tie your brain into knots. All you have to do is slide crates onto spots marked with an X, but with thirty stages, each more tidily and cleverly designed than the last, Sokoboom proves it has what it takes to keep you challenged.

Nanobots Nanobots is the latest from the web-game nanofactory assembly line that is Nitrome. While not as inventive as some of its other releases, Nanobots takes your classic shoot-em-up, wraps it in a cool metaphor of nanomachines fighting inside a cell, and polishes it to a shiny finish. The result is one of the best Flash-based shmups on the internet.

Drag the Dot Drag the Dot is a simple Flash game, created by Oliver Castañeda of Scarsdale, New York, in which the objective is literally self-explanatory. Just drag the dot to the goal in each of the game's 16 levels, and a final boss level that is "better than doom" (whatever that means.)

But instead of trying to escape like you'd expect, in this point-and-click puzzle game the object is to try to block off every possible avenue of egress. Bob the Robber Alright, let's make sure we've got everything: Black and white stripped shirt? Check! Domino mask? Check! Lock picks? Check! Green toque? Check! Anti-heroic sense of morality that makes you more than happy to lift some cash from the unfriendly neighborhood mob boss? Oh, you'd better bet that's a check! It's Bob the Robber, new puzzle platformer from Flazm. All you footpads out should be prepared to burgle until the whole burg is burgled. Robble robble!

Dibbles: For the Greater Good Anyone who has ever played the classic PC game Lemmings will recognize the gameplay in Dibbles. In each level, a troop of marching ant-like critters (who I suppose are the eponymous Dibbles) must be ferried to the exit point with as little loss of life as possible, taking special care to spare the life of the chief monarch Dibble. The fun in Dibbles is in breezing through the levels and seeing what other gruesome tasks you can set your Dibbles to executing. All For The Greater Good, of course.

Nelly A flight of fancy makes young Nelly venture out of her house alone one night, and she winds up stumbling straight into trouble of the "deep, dark, deadly" variety. Bela Kovacs and the Trail of Blood Bela Kovacs may wear his sunglasses at night and waterfall exhale like a total bad ass (not that you should imitate him, smoking is bad, kids, don't do it), but for some reason the Budapest police department doesn't want him as a detective anymore. When his niece is viciously murdered, however, he's not going to let any power on earth stop him from catching her killer. Not even preternatural powers. It's easy to get engrossed in this fascinating tale of darkness, serial killing, revenge, curses, and the Old World.

Ice Breaker: The Red Clan The vikings and the ice that trapped them have returned in an expansion on Nitrome's original physics-based puzzle game, Ice Breaker. Ice Breaker The Red Clan introduces lots of new obstacles to deal with strewn about an all-new set of levels. Vikings are trapped in the ice, walled-in by rock, or otherwise prevented from reaching the ship. Using your cursor as a cutting tool, it's your job to set them free. Manipulate each environment to provide a clear path from viking to ship and carve your way through 40 brand-new levels.

Governor of Poker 2 Poker. You're either hopelessly addicted to it, or you can't tell a flush from a straight. Fortunately for us, Youda Games has brought back its casual poker-meets-simulation game in the delightfully accessible Governor of Poker 2. No matter if poker scares you or excites you, this game's got something great in store for you.

Cheese Dreams Cheese Dreams is a cute little platformer from Nitrome starring a bouncy bit of cheese (which just so happens to be the moon), mice in spacesuits, and Mario-esque pipes that send you soaring. As our orange protagonist snoozes one night, a massive mouse spaceship comes along and scoops it right up. Is it all just a bad dream, or are these mice really that obsessed with cheese?

Grow Nano v0 Grow Nano is another fantastic release from On at Eyezmaze, creator of the unforgettable Grow series of flash games. Each installment uses a common theme of placing objects in a certain order to allow a sequence of events to play out. Grow Nano tweaks this idea and introduces timed gameplay. Instead of moving and placing items, all you have to do is click on certain hotspots as quickly as you can. It's a lot more difficult than it may sound, but strangely enough, almost as rewarding.

To Nothing At first, To Nothing sounds like a misnomer for SuzumeDr's newest escape game. You start out in a somewhat sparsely furnished room with nothing in your hands except a black-and-white sports bag. You dump out the bag's contents and instantly all the slots in your inventory are full. The catch? As you go around and solve puzzles, every object in the room and in your inventory will... disappear, one by one. It's hard to be original in a well-established genre like the room escape, but SuzumeDr is definitely good at his trade.

Osada If there's anyone in the land of Casual Gaming that has experienced the work of Amanita Design, and hasn't, in some small way been charmed, I don't think I've met them. That said, while I can appreciate that the success of the Samorost-making company allows them to take their time in formulating each new project, I do start going through withdrawal symptoms round about the eighteen month mark. Fortunately, the nights of the shakes are over with the release of the distinctly surreal and surreal-ly distinct desert-themed Osada. It may be more of an interactive music video webtoy than a game proper, but frankly, I'd be fine watching Amanita Design animate a phone-book.

Siegius If history has taught us anything, it's that history is neat and can make great content for video games. Case in point: Siegius, a casual real-time strategy / defense game that takes place during Julius Caesar's conquest of Gaul way back in the mid-50s BC. Send units out to attack the base of the Gaul commander Vercingetorix. He's streaming soldiers as well, so you must balance defensive units with long-range fighters, melee combat specialists, and unique spells, clearing the battlefields as you march your way to victory! Hopefully!

Uchuforce 2 Uchuforce2 is designed for shooter neophytes. You control your ship with the mouse, you're firing a ridiculous swath of bullets all the time, and there's only one button to worry about. Click the mouse to change your weapon to a powerful laser, and click again to switch back to the endless waves of bullets. A meter in the lower-right shows you how close your laser is to over-heating, so if you want to avoid an extra-long cool-down delay, turn the laser off before that meter fills.

EvoLand Remember when? Nicolas Cannesse's short action-adventure/interactive art piece will have you asking yourself that as you go on a journey through the evolution of games. Music Catch Music Catch is a game with a very simple mechanic set to a transcendent classical piano piece that could hold your attention single-handedly. The shapes appear in ebb and swell to the accompaniment, diving from foreground to background in a shifting aquamarine rainbow. Finwick In Finwick, the spritual successor to Platform, Jackson Lewis has once again crafted a brilliant gem of a puzzle platformer. Play the part of Finwick as he makes his very first delivery for the Royal Mail, passing through dangerous factories, quarries, forests and secret underground facilities.

Gap Monsters These monsters aren't monstrous at all! Look how soft and trusting they are, how they make innocent eye contact with you as if to say, "Please don't electrocute me and all my friends and family!" Too bad that's the aim of the game in this negative space puzzler that has loads of charm and black humour, not to mention style, to carry you through the day.

Cyadonia A delightful sliding block puzzle game packed with every idea for a tile-based puzzler you can think of, including pushable blocks, lasers, mines, key-and-lock combinations, and so very, very much more. Basically, it's just a mammoth game with an incredible amount of variety. It could be tighter, but it couldn't be much more ambitious.

Kao Fu-Sen The latest of the point-and-click puzzle adventures to pop onto the Flash game scene is a short little story about a girl who has lost her head... literally. With gameplay very similar to that of Samarost, this game is charming and very enjoyable, the only downside is that it is over way too soon.

You're Grounded! You're grounded, and when you're a child genius, being stuck in your room is the most boring thing you can imagine... until you get a visit from your future self, telling you that only you can save the city if you can cobble together a device from things laying around your room in this fun point-and-click puzzle game!

SteamBirds: Survival An expansion of the dogfighting turn-based strategy hit, SteamBirds: Survival, focuses itself on October 15th, 1940. You must do all you can to hold off the Axis forces over the city of London so that civilians can evacuate. There will never be a victory parade since your defeat is assured, but you will want to last as long as possible all the same. Choose your plane, and Godspeed.

DJManiax To paraphrase George Gershwin: I've got rhythm. I've got music. I've got DJManiax, Team Maniax's new rhythm extravaganza. Who could ask for anything more? I've been looking for a music game with excellent tunes, some well-designed note charts and levels of challenge that can appeal to both the casual and hardcore audience, I've got to say I'm pretty well satisfied.

Child of a Witch Trilogy In the Child Of A Witch Trilogy, by Garbuz Games, three chapters of a spot-the-difference game, a somewhat touching story unfolds that may explain why gnarly old witches are, well, gnarly old witches. Scour each screen to spot the six differences in every level and click as you find them.

Leap Day Work with other players to cooperatively end the frosty reign of darkness in this gorgeous and deceptively casual looking game of kingdom building and resource management. Blending elements of puzzling with real-time strategy, your task is to lay roads and factories for your little Flans to travel, gather resources, and beat back the winter. But it's not as easy as it sounds, and you'll need real planning, logic, and craftiness to win at this engaging and innovative game.

Bubble Tanks Tower Defense 1.5 Bubble Tanks Tower Defense 1.5 is a rollicking good time. Play with the restrictions of limited available bubbles or go all out in cheat mode and see what new kinds of mayhem you can wreak with mega-mega-towers. Or really challenge yourself and play in Dark mode, a nail-biting exercise in the upper levels. If you liked Bubble Tanks Tower Defense the first time around, then brace yourself for hours and hours of more entertainment and destruction, enough to keep you busy as you wait for a full-blown sequel.

Off to Work We Go Bart Bonte delivers a short, surreal adventure game about a mysterious factory... well, maybe not that mysterious given what greets you. But though you might find this little title, made for the No Future Contest, a bit too simple and more of an interactive movie than anything, it's worth the few minutes it'll take you for a chuckle.

Escape from Puppy Death Factory Twenty years after nuclear confrontation wiped out the planet known as Earth, Cosmonaut Laika receives a distress bark from the ruined surface. Armed with your trusty swap-gun, a rainbow shooting device that lets you switch places with pieces of the world around you, you land upon the planet to locate your companions. Every dog has its day, and today is the day you... Escape from the Puppy Death Factory! Brought to you by Arthur Lee and the fine people at Adult Swim. A fun, if deceptively challenging, puzzle platformer.

Strike Force Heroes 2 The Strike Force Heroes thought they had seen the last of the GlobeX corporation. But they're back in Strike Force Heroes 2, the action arena shooter sequel that's everything the fans of the original could have hoped for. Though confined by typical concerns of its genre, it build on its predecessors strengths, delivering furious action and beautiful set pieces.

Flood Runner 4 Carnivorous plants. Lava. Rising tides. Fire. A Tyrannosaurus Rex. You know... maybe this cave wasn't such a great place to hang out after all? Run for as long as you can to stay one step ahead of certain doom, earning achievements and upgrades along the way, in this latest installment in the popular arcade action series.

Armed with Wings: Culmination Every other member of the rebel army is dead, but in Armed With Wings: Culmination, the tyrant Vandheer Lorde is finally within your grasp. Can you hunt him down and put an end to his threat of world domination? Grab your katanas, folks, because Sun Studios has outdone themselves again with their latest action platformer of the Armed with Wings series.

Liquid Measure 2: Dark Fluid Level Pack Usually when you hear that a game has a bunch of new levels filled with water, it's a call for trepidation, especially when the liquid appears as brackish as it does here. However the Dark Liquid Level Pack, an add-on to Smart Code Games' popular physics puzzler Liquid Measure 2, is just as refreshing a drink as the original. Not much is new, but, after all, it isn't wise to fix a pipe that isn't broken.
