The rules of Petals are as simple as the idea behind it: click to combine like-colored tiles in a grid, but avoid combining tiles of different colors. Robamimi rarely disappoints and the New Who Am I? is no exception. A little shorter than usual for Robamimi's work, but nonetheless lots of casual gameplay fun is here to be had. Perfect for a short break, most gamers will find themselves out in ten minutes or less. It's worth playing just for the final puzzle. After all, how many room escape games (spoiler alert!) require you to bribe your way out?
Mallet Mania is Nitrome's newest production, a Marble Madness-type puzzle game. By using what appears to be a wireframe croquet mallet, you whack your ball with varying direction and power to guide it through maze-like levels to the goal. Stating the obvious but still worth noting, Nitrome once again stays with its tried-and-true pixel graphics and vibrant color scheme.

Although Soom 2013 isn't long at all, particularly compared to Place of Light's earlier works like Loom Dawn and Room Marine, it's good while it lasts. The room and its puzzles are very well designed, and although the lack of any sound can be a little disconcerting, it doesn't really get in the way. As someone born in the year of the snake myself (...er, not this year of the snake, the one 24 years ago), I consider myself qualified to recommend Soom 2013, and I do so eagerly.
If you're looking for an escape game that's neither too long or short, nor too easy or hard, this sunny title by Vitamin Hana gets the job done, with some cryptic clues for sneaky coded locks you'll need to use your brain to unlock.
While it isn't big on innovation, Neutronized's adorable platformer is big on charm and packed with loads of classic platforming action to boot! Play as a pudgy, snowball throwing penguin and run, roll, butt-stomp and hope your way through a beautiful world packed with interesting enemies and loads of style.
Psionic Games is back with another horror-themed point-and-click adventure, and this one's rendered in full atmospheric 3D with Unity! You find yourself locked within a grim tomb, a giant stone door barring your only exit. Luckily for you, some helpful soul has left you several notes to help you escape! But those notes have more to say about your predicament than you might expect... Enjoy both the puzzles and the shivers up your spine!
