Game One Escape

Chacha's Game One Escape has a whole lot of locks and a whole lot of codes, all designed to keep you trapped for as long as possible, which would be inhumane if not for the big screen TV, the comfy couch, and the coffee maker. Chacha, you... fiend, I guess? There's no changing cursor, so to play just click on everything to interact and move around. A large part of escaping will actually come down to finding the clues you need to crack a bunch of codes, and most of it is actually quite clever, though the mildly clunky interface might get in your way whenever you accidentally click past the number or letter you wanted and have to cycle back through all the others to get to it. Even if the ride isn't perfectly smooth, there's still a lot to appreciate in the way Game One Escape makes you use your head instead of relying on pixelhunt or MacGuyver-y, which is totally a professional game term. Need to warm up your noodle and solve a couple puzzles to really make your day complete? This is the escape game for you.

Move Right. Check the painting.

6 Green.
5 Orange.

Get the D tile.

Insert Immature joke here.

Notice the rectangle of letters inside. This will help open the drawer near the couch.

Cabinet Below Coffee maker

Move to the wall with the desk, calendar, and coffee maker.
Notice the book on the desk.

The book has 3 sections on the calendar highlighted, but there is something strange about the picture...

The calendar is upside down, so it is referring to 1, 3, and 7. But how does this the answer to a letter code?

137 upside down looks like LEI. Input that into the cabinet.

Get the H tile.
Notice the highlighted calendar sections. This will also be part of the drawer near the couch.

Bottom Drawer near Couch

In order to find the code. You need to check three places:
Cabinet near door.

Row Number- Calendar number.

Plug in the number. Get the screwdriver.

Door

Go to the wall with the door.

Seem to be stuck on the 4 digit drawer.

the answer seems to be the 4 digit code from the colour drawer in the order of rgbo minus the 3 digit code from the top of the calendar. Which i have as 8645-137 = 8508. I tried using the calendar code upside down (731) even though that is not the clue and it didnt work.

Any help is appreciated.

@PHD I was stuck there, too. Now I see that

the calendar clue in the book is used somewhere else

and that

there's a reason that it's upside down.

I know I'm being a little bit lazy, but would someone mind telling me if

I need to be pixel hunting or if what you see is pretty much what you get, puzzle-wise? I don't want to spend *all* morning clicking around if I don't have to.

For the calendar

think letters not numbers

731 turned upside down

can't wait for this.

Am I supposed to be counting only ovals or ovals and circles; because I can't tell which some of them are.

Reply

You count all the oval and circle shapes.

As far as I know, there isn't any pixel hunting.

AH, I have no idea where the 731 clue came from, but

putting that clue into the pink cupboard with the 3 letter code makes the calendar clues become a little clearer

Agreed with Catherine, absolutely no pixel hunting here. Just a nice logical escape.

I was going to reply to @Itt saying voting seems to work now, but I thought I should try refreshing after I voted, and it now says 0 votes again.

Too bad. This was definitely a 5-mushroom game for me.

Reply

something appears to be wrong towards the end.

at the end it tells me to put the shapes on the bar after unscrewing it. 2 of the shapes were used to unlock doors. so how do I get them back? or do I? i'm confused

sorry I didn't read it correctly. I figured it out. :)
