Risen

kyhThe Egyptian god, Ra, tries to rise again. Trapped in the underworld, his path takes him through a pyramid of chambers that will test his (and your) puzzle platforming skills. Developed by Mallowin and OttoMoto with music by Yaros Mjelsky, Risen has you controlling the aforementioned god on his way to the top. But you can't do it all on your own; at your side is... a ball of power that sits atop your head when not in use. How and when you use it will be the key to finishing each of the 30 perplexing levels... and more in the Risen: Level Pack!

risenMove Ra around with [WASD] and send his power ball flying with a click of the mouse. Once launched, clicking again will transport Ra to the ball's position while the [spacebar] will transport the ball back to him. These abilities are ever important in finding your way through the various barriers that exist throughout the pyramid. Can't walk through? Throw the ball. Can't throw the ball? Walk through. Sounds simple, right? Wrong. While there may not be action and excitement, the easy controls, clean physics and thoughtful puzzles provide a transcendent experience.

I wonder how the ancient Egyptians would react to finding out that we're defacing their sacred imagery by turning it into puzzle-platform games.

SonicLover: They'd probably appreciate it, once they stopped worshipping our computer screens as "Bringers of Light".

Be that as it may, does anyone have any advice for 15? I Get trapped in the little room with the second power lever.

Aren't you playing as Horus, not Ra?

Has anyone figured out the last level? I got all the gates open but the exit door won't open.

I'm not precisesly sure what I did. I know I flipped all off the upper levers once, which is probably a key part. After that, I was switching the bottom ones around semi-randomly, then I switched the middle one, and it didn't do anything, and after switching it again the exit opened.

Great game concept & stylish graphics. Would like to see a second version of the game. Maybe the ball could have some additional powers, like calling a temporary second person that you control or something. Would be nice to have a zoom in/out feature - at some points, you'd like to see what's going on in the entire puzzle screen.
