Find the Escape-Men Part 140: Snow Shovel

Find the Escape-Men Part 140: Snow Shovel by no1game is yet another short and sweet escape game with a snowy theme as you try to find the ten little green men and clear your driveway in the process. In that sense, at least, it's actually less an escape game, and more of a simple puzzle, unless you count escaping from the cold! As usual for a no1game title, there's no changing cursor, so you'll need to hunt everywhere for interactive areas, including some that might not appear right away. This is one of those games that might not even fill up a coffee break, but uses some clever tricks for its few puzzles that will have you smacking your forehead once you figure at least one of them out, as well as a cute method of giving you a few hints. So finish it up, snuggle up somewhere warm if you aren't already, and then, well, what else? Play even more no1games titles, of course!

Escape Men: Snow Shovel Walkthrough

Exploring

Computer view

Note the computer asking for PASSWORD.

Examine the briefcase on the left to find Escape Man 1/10

Examine the heater on the right - hmm, it'd probably be more comfortable if we turn it on.

Door View

Open the doors and note the number on the wall - 7
Close them again to find Escape Man 2/10

Look on the drawer to the right to find COLD MEDICINE and the number 1

Car View

Go outside to see a snowy garage. Note the number 4 on the licence plate.

Hmm. Interesting...

Wait a moment for the icicle to fall and collect Escape Man 3/10

Shed View

Left of the garage is a blue shed. It needs a 4-digit code.

Click to the left of the shed to find Escape Man 4/10

Solving

Computer Code

This one's sneaky - the code is right there in plain sight

How many letters is the ALL CAPS computer code?

What word is near it that is the same length and ALL CAPS?

Password: PASSWORD

Opening the Cold Medicine

After putting in the password, there will be a site of this game (meta!) where you can get hints. The first mentions getting something to wrap the medicine jar in - by looking "everywhere"

In this case, look UP

In the Door View, click up to the ceiling to get a RUBBER BAND and see the number 9

Use the RUBBER BAND on the COLD MEDICINE to get Escape Man 5/10

Shed Code

The computer will give you another hint in this case

"Enter the numbers you found in ascending order"

Location of Numbers:

In Door View with doors open: 7
In Door View on the shelf: 1
In Door View on the ceiling: 9
In Garage View on the licence plate: 4

Final Code:

1479

Open the Shed door

Get a SHOVEL on the right

Check the back of the SHOVEL for Escape Man 6/10

Open the left door to see boxes

Click under the shelf to find Escape Man 7/10

Gathering Escape Men

Now that you have a SHOVEL, you can start clearing out the snow -

In Shed View, clear it all to find Escape Man 8/10

In Garage View, clear it all to find Escape Man 9/10

Go back inside to the well-heated room, and check the heater to see that's it's too hot to handle for Escape Man 10/10

Getting Out

The 10 Escape men combine into an odd configuration of a green man waving with a tiny man on him. You might not remember, but we've seen this before

It was somewhere that helped us a lot through the game

On the web page on the laptop - in the top left

Place the Escape Man for a very Meta ending

Meh, stuck pretty early on

with 5 escape men. I've seen the number 1 under the cold medicine, the number 7 out the doors, and the number 4 on the license plate. I'm thinking the license plate is giving me a clue that's just not registering with me...maybe?

Did anyone notice that the picture of the snowman on the computer screen looks like one from the Neutral games?

side of storeroom

storeroom ceiling

Skarab,

Try shutting the sliding door leading to the outside.

Glad you posted yours. I too was missing one escape man and your locations helped me find it :)
