Monomaze Monomaze, by Diffusion Games, is a futuristic arcade puzzler based around a remixing of the game of Dots. Place lines to complete loops and gain points, while gaining extra turns and exploding bombs. A game that cries for a multi-player mode, but is very good by itself.

Futurecade A fun, and slightly insightful, collection of arcade mini-games from the London Science Museum and Preloaded, Futurecade is flashy neon-drenched action that's just a little educational. The quartet of games includes Bacto-Lab, Robo-Lobster, and Cloud Control, Space Junker, and while each isn't particularly deep, they're sure to get you thinking.

Ricochet Kills 3: Level Pack Do you think the other bad guys complain about you? It seems unfair that they have to just stand around and let you kill them, even ignoring the whole magic bouncing bullet thing. Lock and load for a whole new batch of levels for Mibix's simple but stylish physics projectile puzzler!

Best Friends Fighter Best Friends Fighter isn't so much a game as it is a whimsically well-designed online toy by Glitchy Pixel. In a nutshell, Best Friends Fighter is what its name implies it to be: a beat 'em up game. The only thing is, you don't any actual control over the characters. Heck, I'm not sure if the characters could even be called characters. Instead of beefy, steroid-infused men and leggy women, Best Friends Fighter pits robotic entities comprised out of many, many blocks with faces against one another.

Button Escape 26 A little bit of weirdness makes everything nice in this short and sweet escape from Tototo Room. Can you find and click on all eleven buttons in order to find a way out? Doing so will first require figuring out what the heck that thing in your inventory is supposed to be.

Cat Walk Once You are a cute kitty, trapped in a not-so-cute dungeon. You can escape, but there are rules you'll need to follow in Niliter Game's puzzle platformer, Cat Walk Once. Though the Japanese text is untranslated, Cat Walk Once has the retro charm and clever level design of the most classic Gameboy puzzlers, and it's something that will definitely be played much more than once.

Dummy Never Fails 2 Dummy never fails, but how about you? Can you guide him to the target on each level (after shooting him out of a cannon, naturally) and get him past all the obstacles... without sustaining much damage? This physics projectile puzzler is trickier than you might think, especially when you toss in gravity manipulation and a whole slew of pop culture dummies into the mix.

Namco High When you're related to the King of All Cosmos, you might expect some preferential treatment, but acting out (even accidentally) still lands you in detention in this bizarre visual novel dating simulation chock full of strange characters from Namco Bandai and Homestock! With six free characters to interact with and twelve more available via microtransaction if you wish, it's funny, clever, and unexpectedly touching.

Booca in the Southern Island Episode 2 Japanese developer Coconuts Park presents a cute and light-hearted entry in their long line of cute and light-hearted point and click games with Booca in the Southern Island Episode 2. The second of the first three of their games to be translated in English, Coconuts Park certainly has an eye for appealing and simple, but not too easy, escape style games. Give it a shot to relive the horrors of birth order all over again!

Llamas In Distress Llamas In Distress (AKA Vertigo: Gravity Llama 2) is a physics-platform game by Jindo where everyone's favorite form of camelid will be flipping all over the place to find his friends and stop the drama. As gravity-games go, Llamas In Distress isn't particularly unique, but its gameplay is fast and frenetic, with a genuine sense of bouncy fun permeating the whole experience.

Sticky Blobs When you need something, you have to get up and walk over to it like a rube. But if the sticky blobs need something, they can just exude more and more of themselves until they form a giggling, snorting chain to accomplish whatever they need. A weird, quirky World Of Goo-ish physics puzzle with challenging level design.

Primal Champions This action RPG has you fighting your opponents in real time, launching attacks with the [Q] and [A] buttons whenever your characters' cool down meters reach zero. Combine their special abilities for extra damage. A fun experiment in a new RPG formula.

Platcore Platcore, an avoidance game by Chris Jeffries, pushes you to achieve perfection by threatening to destroy you with lasers, guns and the laws of physics. These are surprisingly good motivators, as it turns out! Platcore is definitely worth a look for action and avoidance fans.

Death Arena Reality Show Violence sells, or at least it does in the sort of dimensions where evil flying potatoes have reality shows, so blast your way through hordes of minions and increasingly powerful heroes to appease your audience in this quirky horizontal shooter filled with upgrades!

Little Alchemist Q: What has Dryads, Treants, Elf Wizards and the Loch Ness Monster? A: We do! Collect and combine hundreds of cards to battle the villains of Little Town in this off- or online card-dueling role-playing game for Android and iOS!

Mystery House in Japan While not the magnum opus of the escape game genre, Mystery House in Japan is fun, quick, and indisputably well-designed, perfect for a brief break in your day. While Bianco Bianco may not be the most stunningly original designer out there, it can always be counted upon to provide a solidly constructed and entertaining experience.

Escape From the Room With Three Keys 4 Hottategoya has got-ya once again in this short, simple, but oh-so-elegantly clever little escape gem. There are no items to pick up apart from the three keys you'll need to find your way out, but there are clues just hanging around waiting for you to find them if you can put two and two together. Hardcore escapists will find this one a snap, but treat it like a warmup for your brain and you'll have a great bite-sized bit of puzzling for your day.

Bird's Eye View Escape Bird's Eye View Escape is a unique, well-made room escape game that offers a new perspective (literally) on the genre; it also happens to be really tough. If you're willing to take on a challenge and have the stamina to crack open some seriously enigmatic puzzles, we heartily recommend this game.

Bouncy Fire Fighters Bouncy Fire Fighters is a remake of an obscure 1989 Japan-only Famicom title, about a firefighter who rescues people from a burning building via an extremely bouncy form of the classic arcade game Breakout. Of course, the Nintendo one featured tiny 8-bit pixel art, whereas in this one the female fire victims put the bouncy in the title, if you know what I mean. Time marches on.

Chromatic Seals If you're a brightly coloured seal, the only thing that'll turn your frown upside-down is to be made gray by being matched up with some identically coloured ice. In this HTML5 physics puzzle game, things get tricky as you slice through scenery to reunite the seals with the ice to turn them back to normal.

Cardinal Quest 2 Ready to die just a little bit more? Then you're ready for Cardinal Quest 2, the turn-based roguelike sequel to 2012's Cardinal Quest, brought to you by randomnine (maker of Fear is Vigilance and a consultant on the original Cardinal Quest game). You'll recognize the great pixel art and the procedurally generated maps of the first game, and appreciate the new complexity.

Airport Security While drawing up my packing list for an upcoming trip, I quickly became confused. What's allowed on-board aircraft these days? Can I bring a bottle of water, or is that still banned? Will my laptop be confiscated at the border? Will I need to remove my pants before boarding the plane? These issues are all part of the gameplay in Airport Security, a fast-paced and thoughtful Flash game from Persuasive Games.

backstabber backstabber is a Sokoban-esque puzzle game developed by Dennis Ranke for MiniLD. Play the nameless protagonist as he moves square-by-square to stab each of the other people in the levels. With PuzzleScript pixel-y goodness and a quirky attitude to offset the grim nature of the theme, backstabber is a game that will have you scratching your head with a smile to the very end.

Spooky Night Escape A point-and-click adventure disguised as an escape, Spooky Night Escape evokes the look and feel of the Halloween season with its nighttime setting, pale moon, and eerie trees. You have run out of gas somewhere on a dark, deserted road and must search the area, find some clues, solve some puzzles, and get the heck away before the inhabitants of the ominous nearby shack return. Don't go into Spooky Night Escape expecting ghosts, ghouls, or jump-scares, because there's none of those to be found. The game merely evokes the feel of the season with its look and unearthly music clip.

Bango! If you were to ask us, "What is Bango?" we could say a lot of things. "A board game! A breakfast cereal! The newest pop music superstar!" But of course, since Bango! is actually a puzzle platformer, we would be dirty rotten liars. Race across blocks that plummet behind you, trying to clear the screen of them without falling yourself. It's harder than it sounds, and with an extra five levels each of "extra-hard" and "frustrating" difficulty, it's a challenge for everyone!

Alexia Crow: The Pandora's Box Alexia Crow, protagonist of QuestTracers' series of point-and-click adventures makes a choice and becomes a hero in Alexia Crow: The Pandora's Box. This concluding chapter of the trilogy contains many of the positives and the negatives of previous installments: gorgeous art and interesting puzzles marred by a clunky interface. But fans of the series should definitely be glad to see how this story ends.

Piece of Princess Cake What's a viking gotta do to get some cake around here? Well, in this short and silly point-and-click adventure from Carmel Games, you'll have to appease a centuries-old family feud... by picking up something expensive at the local Vikea, of course.

Button Escape 25 All you have to do to escape is find and click on the eleven hidden buttons. Should be easy, right? But with sneaky codes and some definite weirdness, this short game might not be so simple after all.

Dead Rampage Something always goes wrong on a road trip. You run out of snacks, you have to go to the bathroom, the apocalypse happens. In this action-packed zombie game, you're trying desperately to repair a distress beacon when an explosion strands you on the side of the road. Too bad all those waves of mutants aren't going to wait around for you to finish.

Bubble Witch Saga 2 Welcome to Witch Country! Don't worry, it isn't as scary as it sounds. Instead of mixing potions or getting put on trial for sneezing, you'll simply be matching like-colored bubbles. Bubble Witch 2 Saga is a marble popper from King similar to Puzzle Bobble (a.k.a. Bust-a-Move), but with a surprisingly well-assembled presentation and gameplay that feels as smooth and natural as popping bubbles in real life.

The Case of Scary Shadows A bear's gotta eat, but when faced with shadows that mimic and dog your every step, how long will you last chasing after food in this simple but fast-paced high-score based arcade platformer?

Notebook Space Wars 2 The vertical shooter that turn scribbles into spaceship and doodles into Death Stars is back for another round in Notebook Space Wars 2, by Francisco Ferreres. Not a revolution for Notebook Wars fans, but superior to its predecessors and a good time all the same.

Escape from the Strange Forest Hottagoya's triplex style of puzzle presentation is elevated to a new level in this refreshing escape game. You're not so much trapped inside as hovering above a labyrinth forest of evergreens. With some wandering about, you'll eventually find a box containing your first clue: a map of sorts. Follow it to the next clue until you can find the exit door and decipher the secret code to escape.

Flaming Zombooka 3: Carnival How shall I kill thee, zombie? Let me count the ways. Whether it's spinning blades of death, the classic fire, or a bazooka to the head, you can get your fill of both physics puzzling and zombie destruction in the new TurboNuke game Flaming Zombooka 3.

Tickets 4Love Poor Shawn had been planning for a nice night in watching horror movies. Alas, his wandering eye spotted a beautiful blonde that he simply had to convince to go out with him. The catch: She won't even speak with him and her friend is clearly blocking the opportunity. In this light hearted point-and-click adventure you'll journey through the town searching for the right incentive to make blondie want to spend some time with you.

Escape from Dr. Ichie's Factory It's another blast from the past with this week's Weekday Escape. It's an oldie from our friends at Bianco-Bianco by the name of Escape from Dr. Ichie's Factory, another gem in the Dr. Ichie series. The story's a familiar one: you wake up in the middle of an odd factory building, and you find a note from the culprit, Dr. Ichie, telling you that you have to solve some puzzles to escape from it.

Scenic elegantly combines digitally-rendered landscapes with F-Zero-style racing, and delivers it all in using an impressive 3D engine in Flash.

Nature Strikes Back While it might seem easy to write it off as an imitation of Fragger, Nature Strikes Back stands on its own merits a physics-based projectile game. Each level either introduces new elements or combines existing elements in a new way, giving it a sense of "just-one-more-level"-ness. Can you get rid of the evil polluters and turn the world green again?

Traumata Many people have issues with their childhood, but Adam doesn't even remember his deceased parents. Now a thirteen floor apartment building slowly reveals the horrors of his past in Tempa Labs' point-and-click adventure game, Traumata. Puzzle your way through each of the floors as you avoid an evil, lurking presence. What awaits you on Floor 13?

Humbugger Ziggy Fraud will never learn, at least not as long as he can bend reality to his will in weird ways and his noble chicken steed is there to carry him from danger! The follow-up to Humbug is distinctly more of a straight-up puzzle platformer with difficulty this time around, but the bizarre sense of humour is definitely intact.

100 Crypts New in the line of mobile room escape games with "100" in their name ("door exit" games, if you will), 100 Crypts takes a bit of a darker tone with its series of point-and-click puzzles. Dropped off in a series of one screen rooms, your goal is to find a way to unlock the door, unseal the tomb, open the port hole, or do whatever it takes to leave the area, usually so you can find yourself in the exact same situation when you reach the other side!

Ragdoll Cannon 4 Ragdoll Cannon 4 will have you propelling hapless stick-like ragdolls at "HERE" targets across 50 new levels. I think you know what the responsible thing to do is.

A Short History of the World I think that everyone, if only for a second, has considered the possibilities of traveling through time. Sadly, we don't have the budget for a DeLorean. Obsolescence Ever been attacked by a giant doily from outer space? At the very least, that's how we're choosing to interpret Connor Ullmann's bullet hell shooter Obsolescence. You'll face ten waves of kaleidoscopic bosses with lots of guns and shields to destroy as you blast your way to their cores. Your laser is always firing, so you can focus on moving around and staying alive... if you can.

Find the Escape Men 52 in the Gas Station Find the Escape Men Part 52 in the Gas Station is a delightful mini-escape featuring logical puzzles, amusing dialogue, and even two different endings. Welcome to yet another short and whacky escape adventure with those hard-to-find little green men. Time to gas up the car and go!

Icesters Trouble In Peter Achberger's physic puzzler Icesters Trouble these ice cubes jut want a normal life, sitting on the cold, frozen ground, and preferably not melting. While they are not the only inhabitants in their chilly world but to us they are the only ones that should matter.

Golf is Hard Golf is haaaaard. Really hard. Especially when you only have one button to play it with, and you're not allowed to go walking after your ball! In this sporty puzzle game, you'll have to clear eighteen holes of increasingly ridiculous proportions without ever once leaving your tee. Choose your angle and power, and try with all your might to conquer the devious sport that is GOLF!

Bits and Pieces The first thing I noticed when playing Bits and Pieces, David Lorentz's new platform game, was what a crazy good jumper its pixelated protagonist is. I mean, yeah, most platform heroes wouldn't make it through screen one if they couldn't jump five times their own height, but this dude easily launches himself off like a bottle rocket at the slightest provocation. Good thing though, as making it to the artistically confusing finish will require quite a bit of hopping and/or bopping. And it's a load of fun.

Fodo! People of Earth, beware, for the doughnuts are finally coming for us in Fodo!, an action arcade planet defense game. The game is pure fun, and charming to boot. It gets high marks for originality and has a decent replay value, and I know those dapper doughnuts in their fancy bowler hats and monocles don't stand a chance against you. Now get out there and save the planet!

3000 AD 3000 AD is a mech-battle game shown from a top-down perspective. Unlike the arcade action of Robokill, it's a stomping, creaking affair, much like classic tales of tall machines like Mech Warrior. Here your steel chassis will absorb gunfire, and lots of it. Your job is to dish it out faster than you take it. The low-resolution graphics won't satisfy everyone, but it's almost like a story of olden times, when pilots were bearded, pixels were gigantic, and mechs were huge and clunky, not like these modern mechs with their hyper-skates and their glitch-core bina-rave parties.

Save My Robotos These robots are obviously in peril! Could you imagine using anything other than extreme logic (or Binary Laser Grenades) to save them? Save My Robots is a turn-based programming game similar to Codex of Alchemical Engineering or, more precisely, Junkbot. The goal is to move all 'bots on the screen to the green "X" marks so they can be teleported out. Machines follow the code you've created at the bottom of the screen. All you have to do is program them to make it to their destination. Totally easy to do, right? Right?!
