In this besieged magical world waiting for a hero, it's up to you to throw caution to the wind and charge headfirst into danger. Purrmageddon Cat + Laser Robots = Everything the Internet Ever Wanted in Purrmageddon, a fun arcade sidescrolling rail shooter by Ice Fix Games. While more explanation and customization would have been preferred, Purrmageddon is still a fancy feast for the eyes and ears.

DN8: Pulse A good story is great, but sometimes you just want to blow stuff up. In DN8: Pulse, a new shooter game from Squize, you are the commander of a puny little fighter who has to fight off swarms of enemy vessels if you want to survive. If you make it past the initial waves, you'll have the chance to upgrade your ship with extra shields, weapons, and even support pods and there are two upgrade paths, defensive and offensive. The clear selling point of DN8: Pulse are the graphics, done in Stage3D, which are unlike most anything you've seen in a flash game. The visuals are in a word, stunning. And it's a lot of fun to play a shoot-em-up that leaves the conventional retro pixelated setting and dares to take it to the farthest reaches of the universe for a truly immersive experience.

The controls are simple, as is the premise: get out there and explore, try out different endings, and try to help out villagers, and don't forget to chuckle at all the Ren Faire tropes.

Escape from Blender <br />Art Gallery Although most experienced gamers could blow through this in 10 minutes or less, slow down, take your time. Enjoy the headache-inducing clash of carpeting and wall patterns, contemplate the meaning of the displays, or just gaze at the monkey head and wonder, is that post modern or post-post-modern? Dali or Dada? Stay in the game too long and you will half expect dripping clocks to appear across a landscape. Just, you know, watch out for the flying robot guards.

Billy the Pilot Why does negligent parenting get such a bad rap? If it wasn't for bum parents, we'd never have this lovely launch game, Billy The Pilot, from Erik Sombroek, about a little boy who just wants to fly, and who has a mom and dad that don't seem to mind their little boy building a launchpad in the backyard, right in the path of the family flower bed. The backgrounds and animations in Billy the Pilot are impossibly cute and the upgrades a lot of fun, especially the ability to build a pet dragon! But the gameplay is repetitive and the in-flight controls are clunky. It also isn't very hard. Really, Billy the Pilot is just an excuse to explore a beautifully drawn and colorful Never Never Land where kids are kings and parents nowhere to be found...as it should be.

Adrift Adrift is a stylish logic puzzle game from Tack Mobile. It follows the gameplay outline of classic browser games such as Hyper Frame and 3D Logic II, eliminating the rotating cube in favor of a fixed isometric viewpoint, simple touch controls, and a sweet-as-candy visual presentation. Don't think that just because you only have three sides of a cube to worry about that things are going to be any easier to solve, however!

Onamis 4 Onamis seems to be a portmanteau of the French words for "friendly" and "one". As soon as you are trapped inside, you might start to wonder just how friendly people really are. There you are, with no map, no guide, and no inventory. You don't have the ability to turn around or look back. There's not even a clue. Well, except that scrap of paper on the floor. Maybe someone was being friendly, after all.
