Escape from the Pumpkin Room Occasionally it's nice just to sit back, relax, and fire up the little gray cells to solve a series of puzzles rather than fry them from constant adrenaline. Escape from the Pumpkin Room is not the most original or taxing room escape game, but it's a wonderful cure for the mid-week blahs. A nice combination of logic puzzle solving and use of found objects guarantees that you will enjoy stretching the neurons a little without ending up slamming your head on the desk in frustration.

Nobushi This wonderfully weird escape-the-room game has all the characteristic surrealism you expect from Detarou. The puzzles are quite thinky but never unfairly difficult. That doesn't mean Detarou won't try to trick you so keep your eyes open, and do your best to avoid, the "bad" end. Collect all ten Saito figures and find the red stamp if you want the very best ending. You might have to jiggle a pudgy belly to get there, but the fun you have along the way makes it worth it.

Stamp Rally Escape 1 Wan and Nyan, the jumping dog and punching cat, are back for this epic journey to collect stamps in Stamp Rally Escape 1 from Cogito Ergo Sum. So join Wan and Nyan on their quest for consumer goods of an undetermined variety.

The Freewill Cycle: Volume 1 (Redux Edition) Completely refurbished and revised, this redux of the first installment of William Buchanan's two-volume adventure game series is meant to supersede the original. You wake up alone...where? Someplace unearthly. Ominously void of life. Imbued with insinuations of wrong doings. Point-and-click to explore your surroundings, gather tools and solve contextual puzzles. As you read the narratives found within each room, not only will you find clues to help you successfully "escape," you'll collect pieces to a story that leaves you with as many questions as answers. There's two possible endings, also. Recommended: play the "Director's Intent" mode in a dark room with the volume up for the maximized experience.

Empty White Room Empty White Room has a theme, and what a theme it is. The game begins in an empty, almost featureless white room. There is no furniture, no windows, no doors to be had... but there is a surprising amount of complexity. Enjoy this short yet mind-blowing mini room escape!

Endless X'mas So what do you do when St. Nick turns your living quarters into a room escape puzzler for the holidays? Naturally, you try to escape. Escape from the Similar Rooms 9 Furnished in Hottategoya's signature minimalism and a bit of surreal calm, these rooms do look very similar, don't they? Still, there's only one way you can get out. Aries Escape: Episode No.004 In this episode of Libertechno's escape game series, you're locked inside a small, studio apartment and need to gather an abundance of clues—colorful pieces of Legos, among other things—overlooking a fair amount of misdirection to solve the puzzles that will elicit your key to freedom. Escape from the Room with Three Keys 7 Escape from the Room with Three Keys 7 is the usual minimal three puzzles, three keys, and out escape that we've come to expect from Hottategoya. It's a satisfying little room escape, something that can take your mind off of whatever is bothering you this week, and giving your brain a nice break.

Little Hostage Little Hostage preserves the finer points of developer Zibumi's previous effort, The Final Spell, while adding complexity and cleverness. Those new to the genre will find it to be a relatively accessible introduction to the beautiful world of point-and-click.

Endless Escape Endless Escape is a puzzle-oriented mobile game from Mobest Media. It follows the simple but supremely addictive layout made popular by games like 100 Lights and DOOORS, utilizing the room escape formula at its core but confining things to a single space of puzzles presented one after another. Instead of roaming around looking under rugs for four digit keypad combinations, your mission is as simple as finding a key, unlocking a door, then proceeding to the next stage. The methods you'll employ to find that key, however, are delightfully unusual!

Find the Escape-Men 88: Ice Hockey Packed into this lovely mini-escape are some entertaining puzzles including a really tricky color-based one and not one but two endings (the bad and the good) along with some...let's say slightly inappropriate language, which one would probably expect with a hockey team.

Escape from the 13th Floor Escape from the 13th floor is a fun, involving room escape (or a building escape in this case), and is an amusing way to waste a few minutes, unless of course you suffer from triskaidekaphobia. Lots of fun to be had in a building made spookier by the soundtrack than by the actual inhabitants. The game is enjoyable, but it almost feels like you're just getting going when you find the way out.

Doors & Rooms Hey, you're trapped in a room! Where's that Nelson guy to laugh at you when you need him? You're not going to sit around and get mocked, though. You're clever, you're resourceful, and even though every time you leave the room you end up in an almost identical location, you're determined to get out. Doors

It Happens Escape Game: Beginner Course Nyan and Wan have been named "Most Valuable Escapers" and you get to join them in the first course of an escape game tournament. Mission cards will provide hints and provide the premise for this delightful installment in the continuing escapades of the charismatic pair. While purposefully on the easy side, It Happens Escape Game: Beginner Course has a clever presentation and enough heart-warming charm to have you smiling all through the week.

JanJan Escape Is it a lucid dream by someone highly feverish? Is it a new escape game from Detarou? Well, why the heck can't it be both? It's JanJan Escape, and, as is standard for the genre, there are puzzles to solve and a room you must get out of. Not standard for the genre, of course, is the bed full of spaghetti, the leering koala man, the salaryman-swatting plant creature, and the pot-headed duo in the wrestling onesies. Of course, they're pretty standard for Detarou, as all the hair-pulling but logical puzzles.

Balcony Escape 2 If you haven't yet discovered the charm and effusive personalities of Cogito Ergo Sum's Wan and Nyan, here's a great way to introduce yourself to the fun. This escape game is full of affable and engaging puzzles, a clean design, user friendly features, and two endings. Wrap it all up in the escapades of the genre's most entertaining mascots and you're sure to finish with a smile on your face.

Alice House No. 8: Mock Turtle and Gryphon Find five items with gryphons on them in order to escape from this latest bite-sized game from Funkyland. Turtles, jellyfish, pig faucets and more await, with just enough pint-sized puzzles to brighten your day.

Aries Escape: Episode No.13 You're down to your last two clean items of clothing: a lime green crop-top and a pair of sweatpants. That means it's laundry day. For Aries Escape, that also means you'll have to figure out the secret codes to operate the washing machines and then, clean clothes and accessories in hand, solve the puzzles to escape.

Room Perfection Contrary to popular belief, it's not true that the Inuit culture has more than a hundred words for snow, but it is true that the Japanese language has roughly fourteen symbols and words for the English word 'perfection'. I bet you're all enthralled at this little piece of trivia, so to avoid contentious discussion let's now turn our attention to Room Perfectio, a lovely, albeit brief, escape game from the creators of the Dismantlement series.

Derereba I don't know how to pronounce it, or even what it means but I love the game! Detarou's latest release is completely Detarou; in other words, it's a wonderfully weird, surreal, delightfully presented and maybe even a little unsettling point-and-click game with three endings to discover. The game itself defies any sense of reality, but it's funny, quirky, surprising and a real pleasure to play. And each ending only adds to the enjoyment of play with startling humour.

A Cold Escape Despite all the silliness, there's lots of real escaping fun to be had in A Code Escape from Japan. A nice mix of puzzle solving and use of found objects; with the need for the animals' own special abilities thrown in for good measure makes for wonderful gaming experience. There are even two endings to be found in this little gem. Marvel at the leaping dog and the punching cat, just remember to use them well while you are playing nurse.
