PonPon House 2 - OdekakeUpon first beginning PonPon House 2, you may find yourself with a strange sense of déjà vu—those rounded, almost huggable graphics, those cutely surreal furnishings, they just seem so familiar. The whole experience is gentle and dreamy, without any sense of urgency or danger.

Cake Mania 3The Cake Mania series is back with its third installment, Cake Mania 3! Not content to confine the game to slinging cakes in fancy modern-day locales, Sandlot installed an interesting storyline that splits the game into five unique areas, each in a different time period and different place. While the core mechanics remain unchanged, Cake Mania 3 serves up something unique in the resource management series to create a wholly enjoyable game.

Dirty SplitDirty Split is an old-school-style adventure game where you investigate a murder shrouded in a mysterious broken engagement. The game manages to dodge familiar detective cliches as well as the high tech gadget riddled whodunits of the present to provide what is a truly unique experience in the genre.

Dig-n-RigFrom the study halls of Digipen, whose alum include parts of the teams behind Portal and Portal 2, comes an epic tale of digging, rigging, and more digging. Sounds as exciting as bathwater, right? But I'll bet you a load of rare minerals that once you get started in Dig-N-Rig, you'll lose your evening. Maybe more!

Hanamushi: Pock's FriendHanamushi is an absolutely gorgeous Japanese website filled with beautiful artwork and even a couple of Flash point-and-click adventures to discover. Simply amazing. FiNCKFire Nuclear Crocodile Killer (FiNCK for short) is a puzzle platformer, but don't let the title fool you. In fact, out of the four rather unrelated things it suggests, I only encountered one during the whole game. As a Nifflas game, FiNCK must live up to a certain standard of cool relaxation instead of firey, manic arcade action. However, it differs from the author's previous offerings in that it forgoes atmospheric exploration in favor of a puzzle-driven, often hair-pullingly-frustrating experience.

Siege HeroHappy peasants harvesting grass. Peaceful people admiring the clouds. Then the bad guys come along and start sieging and such. You don't need much of a story when it comes to physics-based chain reaction games, but in the case of Siege Hero, from the creator of Sieger, you definitely need to know you're the one fighting on the side of good! This highly-polished iOS game features gameplay similar to Castle Crashers, Angry Birds, and even Implode!, although the sum of its well-made parts adds up to something much more intriguing.

SanitariumEver have one of those days where everyone thinks you're crazy, and you start to believe them? Waking up in an asylum isn't a good start, and it gets worse when you start to suffer increasingly vivid hallucinations about strange places and monstrous creatures. Is there a reason for it all? Or are you simply as crazy as everyone says? Sanitarium is the cult classic point-and-click horror adventure that shouldn't be missed by any fan of the genre.

TontieTontie deserves its own entry—and this way I can also add it to the "Recommended" section in the side bar. Posted a while back with the magnificient Grow game by Eyezmaze, Tontie is simply one of the most accessible, fun-to-play and challenging Flash games I've seen. Anyone with a numeric keypad can play: Just follow the on-screen instruction...

TNNSTNNS is a wild arcade game from Action Button Entertainment and Rabbx that plays like a cross between Breakout and Pong, only about a billion times better (rough estimate). Imagine using a rubber paddle to smack a rubber ball around a stage filled with blocks, stars and arrows, then using some sort of telekinetic powers to make the ball curve a bit. That's TNNS, and if you're not laughing with amazement each time you fail/succeed, you're probably doing it wrong.

Alchemia (Extended Version)The point-and-click adventure from Springtail Studio is all grown up! Alchemia was first released in 2009 as a free browser game with the promise of an extended version later on. Well, later is now, and the downloadable Alchemia comes with five more playable levels and nine new locations, providing even more photorealistic scenery and lateral-thinking puzzles than before!

Dwarf CompleteOn of Eyezmaze continues to impress and amaze us with his game development skills, and Dwarf Complete is no exception. Perhaps his most ambitious project to date, the game was commissioned for the online RPG, Lineage II, and it even features dwarves from that game. Dwarf Complete is an amazingly good adventure puzzle game with quality, presentation and gameplay that all helped push this title to the top of the Best of 2007.

BucketballBucketball is a brand-new physics-based game from Arseniy Desrosiers and Florian Himsl. If you've already guessed that the general thrust of the gameplay has something to do with "buckets" and "balls," then congratulations, your amazing brain is way ahead of the curve. Icarus NeedsIcarus is stuck in a dream world and needs: to wake up, to find kit, a key... and anything else that will help him navigate from one end of this narrative adventure to the next. The true joy of playing, though, comes in exploring Daniel Merlin Goodbrey's witty comic strip—story and gameplay work seamlessly together and that's all we need to enjoy it!

Red RemoverThe title sounds like the name of a top-secret Cold War superweapon, or perhaps a very specialized brand of bleach, but Red Remover has nothing to do with either Soviets or stains. Instead, this latest offering from Gaz charges you with the task of removing all of the melancholy red blocks in a level while keeping all the exuberant greens.

BloxorzBloxorz is a simple idea for a puzzle game that is beautifully executed. The objective is to tumble a rectangular block through each stage and deposit it into the square hole at the end. Factory Balls 4Some might argue that life working on a conveyor belt is tedious work, but not if you're working for Bart Bonte Manufacturing. As white balls come rolling down the line, your job is to custom craft each ball to a specific order in Factory Balls 4, the latest in the series of Factory Balls puzzlers. You've got all the tools you need to fulfill each order... except the instruction manual.

Concrete Stairs 3Japanese, Dghgbakufu, is one designer who combines simple yet beautiful visuals with challenging puzzles. There's no narration, no story, no music. Just a room. With puzzles. Logical puzzles. And sometimes that's all we need out of a decent escape game.

Bloons Tower Defense 4 ExpansionThe Bloons Tower Defense games are some of the most popular ever featured on this site. Ninjakiwi has come up with an expansion pack that is fun, challenging, intriguing, frustrating (in places), and guaranteed to suck you right back into the world of the Bloons (just when you thought you were out). Will this tide us over until Bloons Tower Defense 5 comes out? Maybe, maybe not. But it's definitely worth checking out, if only for the amusement of finding the super secret surprise.

Legend of the Void 2: The Ancient TomesA day in The Void just wouldn't be complete without some bandits, skeletons, necromancers and wolves attacking you. The result is a great sequel that continues right where the first game left off, dumping you in a world packed with monsters on a quest to, well, just stay alive.

ImpasseThere's a tremendous amount of brainbusting to be found in such a tiny puzzle game as this. The shortest distance between two points certainly isn't a straight line here, as you'll end up making circles around yourself to find the correct path to the exit. You only have thirty spots to move to, but you'll be trekking around the grid for a good long time. It'll be pretty hard to pass up this Impasse.

One Scene 6Robamimi returns to the single-walled venue of room escapes with everything you love about a Robamimi design: a user-friendly interface, clever yet solidly logical puzzles, and a beautiful setting all rolled into one roomful of fun.

The EngineerAs an engineer in Jazza Studios' new tower defense shooter, our hero can construct turrets, structures and bombs using scrap from defeated enemies and scrap piles found throughout each level. Your goal in the main story mode is typically to hack several consoles in each level, a task complicated by the armies of angry robots out for blood.

Grow OrnamentJust in time for the holidays, On of Eyezmaze has done it again: a brand new X-mas mini-Grow game has just been released and, as the name implies, is a bit shorter and sweeter than the others. On's Grow games are all elegantly simple, and accessible to people of all ages. A wonderful holiday gift from Eyezmaze.

FiendsFiends is best described as an innovative puzzle game masquerading as a roguelike RPG, and worst described as an unentertaining game, though you'll find that "unentertaining" doesn't enter into the equation. As the growing circle of friends makes their way from outer space to a castle to an abandoned marketplace, they'll encounter new fiends with different counterattack ranges, set up in all sorts of arrangements to create all sorts of puzzles, leaving you thinking constantly.

Monsters' Den ChroniclesMonstrum shows you exactly why they lead the pack in turn-based dungeon-crawling RPG strategy with this follow-up to the immensely popular Monsters' Den: Book of Dread. Conquer three campaigns by mastering the abilities of your heroes as you venture deep into dungeons that will require careful strategy to defeat the creatures within.

Versus Ohrustenny QuestFrom Red Medusa Productions, creators of the Versus flash animation series, and XPYC Team, creators of... potato chips (I think?), comes VerSus Ohrustenny Quest. The small amounts of in-game text are in Russian, but the general story of this point-and-click adventure should be clear in seconds: a fair maiden has been kidnapped, and it's up to the Fourth Musketeer (who, lest we forget, is actually a swordsman) to rescue her from her captors. A little naughty as potato chip commercials go, but fans of physical comedy will find it definitely worth an impulse try.

Cursed Treasure 2The tower-defense smash hit behemoth is back and better than ever. As a Dark Lord with an awesome trove of treasure, you're forced to continually beat back the heroes after your gems. Luckily for you you have the forces of darkness on your hands. And luckily for us this sequel is every bit as addictive as the original with a great new look and some challenging new features.

Dream Chronicles 2The Eternal Maze continues where the first game left off with a beautiful blend of puzzles, adventure, object finding and Myst-like environments. You play Faye, a mortal woman whose fairy husband has been kidnapped and daughter imprisoned by Lilith, the Queen of Fairies. By solving a series of puzzles you can reach Fidget and awaken Lyra, but the Queen is always one step ahead!

Super Meat BoyMeat Boy is back in his first commercial release! When the evil Dr Fetus absconds with Meat Boy's beloved Bandage Girl, he leaps to the rescue across more than 300 levels, braving saw blades, syringes, mutant blood clots, toxic waste, and much, much more. As twisted as it is charming and devious, Super Meat Boy is a fantastic and fantastically hard platformer that is tremendous fun.

Sometimes Sunny StepReady for an escape that's challenging? Haretoki has locked you in some sort of lab, and to find your way out, you'll need to scour for clues, wrack your brain for solutions, and experience some unexpectedly whimsical surprises in this delightfully tricky and clever escape game.

Escape from Mr. Birdy RoomA funky beat, a big screen television, a bunch of puzzles, and several not at all creepy bird statues watching you from every single angle... it may be weird, but it's also Tesshi-e, so you know it's bound to be good. So start hunting for clues and cracking puzzles and find your way out!

Escape into the Open-Air Hot SpringTesshi-e's latest stars a protagonist taking a much-needed vacation to the titular open-air hot spring, only getting into it isn't so easy; a number of puzzles to solve and inventory items to pick up and use lie in wait before the customer can warm their body properly. This game doesn't break Tesshi-e's streak of good escape games; the puzzles are fairly logical and make sense without being too easy, the controls are just fine, pixel-hunting is nonexistent (as is a changing cursor, but who needs it?) and there's a save feature for when you want to take a break from your break.

The Happy Escape 2Tesshi-e gives us a sequel to The Happy Escape with Happy Escape 2, yet another challenge to find as many happy coins (and, thus, happiness) within a classic locked room escape. There is only one escape scenario in this little charmer that features the standard gorgeous Tesshi-e visuals and a jazzy little tune to help pass the time while solving a nice selection of logical puzzles.

Haluz 2.2Haluz 2, the sequel to the surreal Samorost-like point-and-click adventure Haluz, is now entirely free! When it was first released in August, players could experience the first half of the game and pay a modest fee to access the second chapter. Now the creator of Haluz, Tomas, sends word that both versions are available online for the low low cost of absolutely nothing.

Micro LifeMicro Life is a real time strategy game (RTS) that is quite easy to play, and it has a lot of charm to compensate for the relatively light challenge it presents. Accessible to all ages, this game is one part simulation, one part strategy, and one part Insaniquarium all rolled into one.

The Moving GameJust a quick update to say that we have been moving a lot of our bandwidth-heavy content (images, hosted games) during the past few days to a content delivery network to help the site load faster. We were hoping this would be completely transparent to you, the visitor, and that we wouldn't have to bother you with a note like this.

Slouching Towards BedlamSlouching Towards Bedlam is a work of interactive fiction created by Daniel Ravipinto and Star Foster. Set in the Bedlam Hospital insane asylum in a steampunk-style 1885 London, you begin in an office with a brass-laden phonograph playing a demented soliloquy. It's a subtly disturbing game that draws you into a rich, elusive world of intrigue and allows you to react to the story however you see fit, carving out five unique endings based upon your interpretation of the plot.

Dream Chronicles: <br />The Chosen ChildHey look, it's Dream Chronicles 3: The Chosen Child! The latest installment in the Dream Chronicles series has arrived, and its as breathtakingly brilliant everyone would expect. A little bit of hidden object finding, a little bit of puzzle solving, but a whole lot of adventuring can be found in this superb sequel, along with some of the most gorgeous scenery you've seen since looking out your own window (assuming you live in a fantasy world with fairies, fountains, and vibrant gardens). It's an excellent follow-up to the previous Dream Chronicles games and a fantastic game in its own right.

Knytt UndergroundIt's been a few years, but the Knytt series has finally returned! Knytt Underground pulls in design elements from several of Nifflas' other games, including Within a Deep Forest, NightSky, and Saira, and creates a beautifully atmospheric game of exploration. There's a big world to run, climb and bounce through, packed with secrets that can only be found by mastering some unique character switching moves.

Jinja (The Shrine)A missile is launched and it is up to you to solve the mysteries and rituals of The Shrine and save the world. In this amazing and well-produced point-and-click adventure by Aztec, you will encounter lots of items to find, hidden rooms, and various contraptions to activate and control. Cut scene animations reward you at various stages along the way.
