Jack the Groove This gorgeous game, titled "The Malibu 9 Rescues Mr. Malibu (and 6/9 of the Deepfried Posse)", was originally from a club, Club Malibu, in Stockholm, Sweden, that may not even be in existence any longer (you know how clubs just come and go). Top notch production in a fun little Flash game.

Qoosh Qoosh, like many protagonists before him (she? it?), is a lab experiment being guided through a series of tests by a narrator who seems less into actual science and more his own sadistic amusement. But despite the familiar premise, Qoosh wins with both charm and challenge to provide a fun and engaging experience that gives you a warm sense of satisfaction as you tackle its puzzles.

Halo & Pixy What's a nobler cause than a cat stuck in a tree? None as far as the adorable protagonist of this simple, kid-oriented point-and-click puzzle adventure is concerned. Vertical Drop Heroes! So going uphill is hard, but what about going downhill?... only, y'know, without the "hill" part. Descend through levels of tricky terrain in a game that combines classic platforming with good ol' fashioned "save the princess" swashbucklery. And while you're at it, save the heroes too! By rescuing different heroes, you can assume their abilities, and unlock new ones, in your quest for treasure and glory in this clever new hybrid from Nerdook.

Beneath the Waves When the Sun and the Sea have a falling out, it's up to you to dive into the ocean and retrieve the Idols hidden beneath the waves, carrying them all to the mountaintops where they rightfully belong... or so you think. Casanova Orisinal invites you to help a little giraffe with a noble goal... to get all the smoochin' he can from an endless parade of girl giraffes! This simple, bouncy arcade game offers little variety or depth, but Ferry Halim's signature rich warm design and inherently cheerful concepts make this the sort of game you'll want to turn to for an instant pick-me-up.

Switch (Alberto A. Braga) Need a new rage fix? Switch is what you need for all your high difficulty, platform, puzzle game needs. Help the little bot get to the exit, by switching the light in his head to activate or deactivate his surroundings.

Oliver & The Basilisks Oliver & The Basilisks is a turn-based, strategy, board game where you'll take control of the wizard Oliver. With three modes of game play and up to 14 spells, Oliver & The Basilisks offers a lot of variety.

All We Need Is Brain 2 The theme has shifted to an urban environment where zombies are literally coming out of the sewers, and all this brick and steel is used to an impressive (and often confounding) level. Timed drops and lateral thinking are hallmarks of "phuzzle" games, something the first in this series loved to dish up for players. The sequel takes it all that step further.

Duke Dashington Duke Dashington is a gentlemanly explorer in need of some treasure in this fast-paced game of reflexes, also available on iOS and Android. Dash your way through each collapsing temple to collect the treasure, but be warned: when you launch Duke in any direction, he won't stop until he hits something. Spikes, lava, water flows and more bar your way towards treasure and glory. Get dashing!

Crush the Castle Adventures The beloved series about smashing things and smooshing people is back for more, and it has a whole new look. Using a variety of creative new ammunition, smash and crash your way across a multitude of levels and environments, each with their own unique challenges, and prove you're worthy of the love of the beautiful (we assume) Lady Catapult.

Q-Room Escape Foresteg has found it prudent to get you locked away in a room and leave you to figure a way out. It's important to mention that they haven't made it easy. Several varying puzzles await to test your mettle. Here's your chance to prove that you can outsmart even the most obtuse of puzzles.

Pixelo Are you ready for Picross with everything but the kitchen sink thrown in? Maybe even some role-playing elements with your picross? With over 500 puzzles in this full-featured title, your only complaint will be that your button finger is getting tired.

Slice the Box You're bored kid with a box cutter in a room full of boxes. Ready for rainy day crafts time? Turn the boxes into shapes by clicking a point outside the box then drawing a line all the way across it to cut off that piece. You're limited to specific types of cuts and, as the shapes get much more complicated over 30 levels, creating them with 100% similarity becomes quite tough. Slice the Box is great way to while away time in a relaxing, creative endeavor.

Lunar Rainbow Room Escape Although dark, brooding, atmospheric, scary, or slam-your-head-against-the-desk hard room escapes are always fun, in the middle of the week it's nice to kick back and enjoy something simpler. Thankfully in this zombie shooter you have all three. Steer your little cube man around to kill the zombies, grab the coins, and get out of that city.

Castle Castle is a short but good-looking point-and-click game from the Japanese website Usagi no Sippo (Rabbit's Tail). The game takes a page from the Grow book of Flash design and lets you create a scene by clicking various objects on the screen, each time causing something new and interesting to happen.

Life Sciences Biology was never my strong suit in school. All those mitochondria and phylums and mitosis... meh. Luckily, you don't have to know your genes from your jeans to make it through Life Sciences, a new room escape by Rose Key. The game takes place inside your standard, four-walled room decorated with the theme of — you guessed it — life sciences.

Bullet Maze If you're big on frustration games (it's okay, you can admit it) then Bullet Maze is here to be your next Everest. Use the mouse to steer your orb around through bullets and click to shift polarities. Each level becomes a sort of puzzle; there's almost always a way to get through that involves carefully recognizing the pattern of bullets and working with it.

Sacrifire Your human minions have failed you! Time to turn to the undead to gather up your needed sacrificial cows. Keep your minions on their toes as they dodge around the enemies to capture the poor bovine.

JeuOnamis is a short room escape game perfect for a coffee break. It takes place in a single black-and-white room that appears to be in the depths of a nuclear power plant (cue Mr. Burns). There is no narration or story, just the implied goal of trying to leave through the big locked door in the center.

Henna Escape If you're looking for a game that will leave you wondering, "What was THAT all about?" then try this quirky Japanese escape game from Detaru. The slick graphics and smooth gameplay make this a title worth checking out, and fans of strange silliness will definitely love it.

Night Rider Turbo Night Rider Turbo is an action driving game by Sos Soskowski where your car is going to fall apart. It's just a matter of time. So how far can you get in delaying the inevitable? One of those unique, gimmicky games that you'll somehow play through twenty times over the course of a week.

Purouty On of Eyezmaze just released a mini-game 'hidden' within his Hatch Today series of illustrations. Purouty is the 28th illustration to appear in Hatch Today, and included with it is a mysterious "More" button. When clicked, you're treated to a unique puzzle game to solve in On's distinct and charming, delightful style.

Creatively Complicated Point-and-click your way through a short list of complications to heroically rescue a damsel in distress. Using a touch of clever problem solving and item management, you'll soon reach the end of this creatively unassuming puzzle game. The blend of whimsical sketchwork and mild challenge ensures your left brain and right brain will be feeling quite pleased to have this meeting of the minds.

Strikeforce Kitty: Last Stand Deqaf Studio's wildly popular series about kittens taking on woodland foes while dressing up as characters from anime, video games, and more makes a comeback, but now that the gameplay has turned to be more button-mashy, defense-centric, some play find it too simple to get behind.

A Trashy Love Story Peanut butter and jelly. Fish and chips. Garbage bags and garbage cans? Sure, they go together, but you probably never considered how they might be romantically entangled. In VillaVanilla's clever action game A Trashy Love Story, you've got to waft the bag to its companion bin while avoiding puncturing spikes and dangerous waterfalls.
