Flipped Out Take the simple kid's game Concentration, disguise it as something even easier and more kid friendly, then make it much more challenging and evil with each passing level. Flipped out is a super-polished and all around entertaining twist on a familiar game mechanic.

Parasite Strike As Dr. Wesley MacGregor, you've developed a poison that will kill an alien menace which you must deliver in Dustin Auxier's side-scrolling shooter, Parasite Strike. Your defeated enemies burst into different colored orbs which go toward the purchase of a staggering amount of options in the choice of your plane, weapons and gadgets. At a length of just six missions, Parasite Strike may feel short, but six additional secret missions, four ranks to achieve in each mission and four difficulty settings keep this game interesting enough to kill all the aliens again and again.

Mamono Digger Underneath that rainbow of squares lies demons galore! Cool demons, though! Mamano Digger is a simple idea puzzler by Hojokama Games that makes the SameGame formula feel a little different. A minimalist gaming experience that probably won't have much replay value once you've beaten it, but you probably won't be able to stop playing until you do.

The Haunting of Magnolia Manor No one respects the rights of ghosts these days. Wether it's a bunch of drunken teenagers with a Quija board or wannabe "ghost hunters" from no-name basic cable channels, no self-respecting ghost can find a moment's peace. Well, for the undead and their sympathisers, the moment of catharsis has finally come, with Kelly Weaver and Jimmy Hinson's action-packed little real-time strategy game, The Haunting of Magnolia Manor. It may have a simple premise, but it manages to do what all the best realtime strategy games can: provide a fast-paced, action-packed, knucklebiting good time...at least, if you still have knuckles to bite.

Jellydad Hero Help Jellydad save his family and become a hero in Jellydad Hero, a puzzle platformer new from Snail Bob developer Andrey Kovalishin. Though a little slow moving, Kovalishin's knack for physical comedy and not-too-difficult challenge shine through as much as in his other series. Other developers should definitely be jelly.

Charms of Lavender Blue Nabi's family curse means finding love could be deadly, but she's got more on her mind than romance with school starting... and an old friend who's suddenly avoiding her. A short but sweet visual novel.

Sproing Reloaded This updated version of irRegular Games' Sproing adds weapons and upgrades to an appealing formula: bash apart moving targets with a big blue ball on an elastic band. Sproing Reloaded brings a good mix of simple physics gaming that's hard to master, 30 achievements to keep you coming back for more, and a bit of quirky humor to show you the author's personality.

Battle of Britain Wikipedia tells us that the Battle of Britain was a World War II bombing campaign waged by the German Air Force against the United Kingdom in mid-1940. It was the first military campaign fought nearly entirely by forces of the air, and those British that fought and prevailed inspired the famous Winston Churchill quote that "Never... was so much owed by so many to so few." And who were these few to which we owe said victory? Well, according to Black Moon Design's new real time strategy release, appropriately titled The Battle of Britain, they were a quartet of quipping, heavily-accented, impressively mustachioed flying-aces... Okay, perhaps a bit of history is lost in the adaptation, but it's fun.

The Great Magician's Curse: Magicians 2 Your greatest magic trick will be surviving, as you must guide yourself and your creepy dopplegangers past swords, daggers, spikes, sawblades and more to reach the exit in this puzzle platformer.

Vault of Xenos An Ancient God like race helped bring balance unto the land. But now a foulness has spread across the land and once again the Xenos must be called upon. Gain keys to unlock these all but forgotten heroes and help restore the land so they can get back to their restful sleep in this strategy RPG with defense elements.

Slush Tile Rush Also available for Android, this frenetic clickfest of tile-matching goodness. Make matches by clicking on matching tiles to deal damage against your opponent before they can knock you out!

New Splitter Pals FEEEEEEED ME, SEYMOUR! The yellow heads in Eugene Karatev's physics puzzle are starving, and only cheerfully oblivious orange puffles will do! Slice and dice your way through each level to carve a path and get all the bonus stars, and trust us... it won't be as easy as you think. As creepy, maybe. Not as easy.

Royal Warfare 2 After fighting back against the undead warriors and reclaiming their land, everyone thought that it was finally time for peace. They were soon proven wrong on all accounts as for rumors spread across the kingdom as new portals were appearing and leaking out the evil warriors once again. But the Royal Army isn't retreating this time in this real-time strategic defense game.

Empty Room Escape You are trapped. In a room. A room that is almost completely empty. The smartest and most logical thing to do would be to use your phone and call someone to get out, but you have no phone. So, armed with nothing but your common sense and puzzle-solving prowess you must unravel the mysteries of the room to escape. Think you have the brains to do it?

Inner Vision Inner Vision, a flixel visual novel, from debuting developer Sunil Rao, tackles one of the most important subjects, and one of the most difficult to do justice: suicide. Based on the author's own experiences with depression, Inner Vision presents you with three individuals contemplating killing themselves, and asks you to talk with them. It's a game that's not at all subtle about its message, but it's one many deserve to hear: "You are not alone."

Popopop A game for anyone who loves tromping on bubble wrap, Popopop by Bad Viking offers you 42 puzzles of color combo popping action, plus a level editor and all the user-generated puzzles you could want. Just drag one of your starter bubbles into an empty space to burst all the adjacent bubbles of the same color, starting a chain reaction of popping that hopefully ends in obliterating all the bubbles on the screen. Special bubbles like needles and thunderclouds turn the game into a gauntlet of precision timing and mouse dexterity.

Fun da Vinci Leonardo Da Vinci. A man whose insatiable curiosity shows within every one of his many works. However, it was in the year 2011 that the most impressive of his plans were discovered and released by some talented people in the form of Fun da Vinci: yes, it seems that Leonardo was the inventor of the physics puzzle, and the world of casual gaming is all the better for it.

Paint It Red 2 What's black and white and red all over? Nothing yet, as we seem to be needing more red! Paint It Red 2 by MoonMana is an interactive art game disguised as a puzzle where your black canvas needs to be covered with red paint as quickly as possible. In each level, paint flows across the screen, following (or not following) the movements of your mouse. If you guide the paint to cover a certain percentage of the screen, you unlock the next level and have the opportunity to move on... or not.

Fruits! Fruits! Fruits! Maybe you do need to be a little bit fruity to love escape-the-room games, but suzumeDr proves once again the satisfaction of being locked in a room with only your wits to free yourself. Tending to be more easy than some of this author's earlier works, this escape presents a handful of logic-based puzzles where the biggest challenge is uncovering the clues and putting them to work in the right place.

T2B Escape 3 Room escape fans will be pleased to learn of a brand new installment available to play in the T2B Escape series. The new game, T2B Escape 3, features similar artwork, some pixel hunting and the lack of any backstory as in previous games, but that shouldn't stop all the room escape fanatics from enjoying another T2B Escape experience. Go forth, point-and-click your mouse, and escape!

Deadly Neighbours Everyone's had problems with their neighbors at some point. From the party guys who blare music at 3 a.m. on a Monday morning to the lawn dictators who go berserk if your grass gets too long, bad neighbors are a fact of life. In Nerdook's latest strategy game, Deadly Neighbours, you get to deal with your neighbors in the most direct way possible: by beaning them in the head with a PS2 controller!

Sketch Quest This gratifyingly fun action-platformer by Page52 departs from typical at its very start as your screen fills with intricately interesting sketches and then it continues into the extraordinary, stopping to command: "Draw your own..." weapon, hat, enemy. Although dotted lines suggest the shape of such invention, in your Sketch Quest notebook, you're limited only by imagination.

Topsy Turvy Topsy Turvy is a game in the proud, recent tradition of platformers with a twist. Like others in the genre, Topsy Turvy is focused around simple, familiar mechanics like move left, right, and jump, avoid enemies and spikes, and get to the goal at the end. We all know how to play that game, right? Well, Topsy Turvy says, now gravity is relative. Chew on that.

The Great Bazooki The Great Bazooki is a magician known far and wide for... balloon popping? Flash Chaz and Marsh Games put their own twist on a very Bloons-y concept as you teleport and toss cards to pop balloons, using magic hats complete with pesky rabbits and more to avoid saw blades, guillotines, and even rings of fire!

Salem Anselm, an apprentice demon hunter has been sent by the Divine Order to cleanse the evil that has descended on the city. With naught but a crossbow, a lantern, and a snarky anthropomorphic sidekick, he'll have his work cut out for him. But who else is left to try? Salem is a horror action-platformer by Mar-ble Team, whose ghoulishly gothic atmosphere and twisty plot makes for an early Halloween treat.

Hidden Chapter 1: <br />Primitive Essence How close are you with your family? What if you received a letter from an uncle one night, asking for your help in investigating rumours of an ancient culture deep in the wilderness? Would you pack your bags and head out to help? You might. But the blood on the ground when you arrived might give you serious pause. How bad could things be, right? As befits the first chapter in a series of adventures, you're going to end this one with more questions than you started with, and maybe, just maybe, a prickling feeling of unease at the back of your neck.

Off Balance At first glance, Off Balance looks just like all those other maze games where you move your mouse from Point A to Point B without hitting any walls. And indeed, that's the general idea. You control a preternaturally cheerful ball of cotton on a mildly psychedelic quest through 25 stages full of obstacles. The trick is in the steering.

They're just regular walls.

Goat Guardian Goat Guardian is a platform puzzle game that stars Steven and his pet goat, Steven Jr.! Steven Jr. likes to climb to dangerous places, so Steven has to run out and and rescue him. It's a well-made and attractive game with a good set of stages that are just the right balance of reflexes and puzzle solving.

Escape from the Passenger Ship Choko Chai's cats are a charming trio full of winning personality and charm. They also keep finding themselves in sticky situations. This time it's being stuck aboard a passenger ship as it sails out to sea. Help them solve codes and put items into creative use or call them onto stage and put them to action. While the puzzle solving and exploration can be hit-and-miss, most the fun and entertainment of this escape game comes from the three cats' ameowsing antics.

Mouse Quest An arcadey combination of mouse avoidance and WarioWare-style mini-games, Mouse Quest by Oilold takes two love-em-or-hate-em genres of casual gameplay and fuses them into something quite likeable. The plot is nothing too special: the mysterious Shapemaster has transported you to his dimension and presents your cursor with various fast-paced challenges so that you may prove your worth before facing him. Overall, the presentation has the minimalism of someone new to game development, but it's very enjoyable work all the same.

Find the Escape Men 165: Fancy Apartment Don't go getting all fancy on us now, just because no1game has locked you up somewhere classy. To escape this sparse but elegant apartment with its lovely view, you'll need to find ten little green men, though this time around it's definitely on the short and easy side.

Caves Online An online platform game that pits you against the "ghosts" of players who've run the course before you. Use the arrow keys to jump, dodge and collect gold as you avoid lava pits, skeletons and the ever-sliding view.

Reisen series The Reisen series catalogues the tale of a small red-headed girl named Jitter, who recently lost her parents to the war (World War II, I think) and wants to go see her grandmother. This is easier said than done, as she is confined to a bunker far away from where her grandma lives. If she wants to make the journey, she'll have to be cunning and resourceful, doing everything from trekking through dark forests to pole-vaulting over deep water to getting guards drunk. This is a series with good points and bad points, like many others. The visuals are relatively unimpressive, the puzzles are okay in the logic department, and pixel-hunting can get annoying, although it gets much more tolerable later in the series. What really makes it worth playing, though, is the story.

Trinitas Play through three campaigns as three different heroes, each with their own enemies, abilities, and upgrade trees, in this simple but addictive defensive shooter game that will remind fans of the Sentry Knight series.

Survive Quest Remember the 90's, when blocky graphics and bleepy sound were among the best available on home computers, and adventure games were all the rage? Survive Quest, a slice of retro by 2BAM, is an attempt to recapture those days. Use the mouse and/or keyboard to help poor Captain Copy Mayhem escape his malfunctioning ship before it crashes, preferably without dying in the process.

Zap Dramatics: Ambition series A desperate man grips the detonator of the explosives belted around his waist, his thumb hovering ever so slightly above that little, harmless-looking red button. Mosquito & Cow Here you assume the role of a wily mosquito whose main ambition in life is to subdue a cow with whatever means are available with the ultimate goal of filling that mosquito belly with bovine blood. Beautifully rustic artwork blended with the backing sounds of Spanish guitar really give this game its character, and you can't help but feel that mosquitoes work pretty hard to earn their daily blood, no matter how stupid cows apparently are.

99 Rooms 99 Rooms is a beautiful Flash point-and-click adventure of the 'escape the room' variety. The object is to make it through all 99 rooms to the end. The game makes use of gorgeous photography for visuals, and a moody atmospheric soundtrack for effect.

Beard of Santa Beard of Santa is the perfect mid-week pick-me-up, especially at this time of year. Fire up this little gem and learn what you've always suspected: cats are good gymnasts, raccoons are helpful gardeners, composting is good for the environment, and Santa really does suck sometimes, doesn't he?

Panda: Tactical Sniper 2 Panda: Tactical Sniper 2 is a friendly-looking, cheery little sniping game where you're not actually expected to snipe people. You're going to have to think outside the box of bullets and shoot other objects in your environment to achieve your goals, and help Panda pull of a major fuzzy-wuzzy diamond heist. It's a quirky concept that will appeal more to fans of puzzle games than shooters, especially given the perky aesthetic, and it's definitely worth a look.

Portal Quest Taking its cues from Portal 1 and 2, as well as Portal: The Flash Version, Portal Quest puts you back in the testing lab with a portal gun and little else to aid your escape. There's no GLaDOS, but there is a fun puzzle game set at just the right difficulty. And plenty of science.

Gunball 2: Emperor's Revenge Ever wanted to be the king (or queen!) or everything? How about as a reason to blow everything up? This adorable, frantic arena shooter packs tons of action, upgrades, enemies, bosses, and even power-ups into one simple but explosively fun experience to keep you on your toes.

Room Escape SIX A lighter. Some flour. A stick, a rock, a knife and a towel. How, using only these handful of items, can you escape a room? Six different ways, apparently, at least in Room Escape SIX, a new escape-the-room game from Japanese designer Kotaro. You are the latest challenger to enter a strange, hexagon-shaped building that exists solely to be escaped from; how you do so depends upon the way in which you use the room's odd furnishings.

Nudge Nudge may look like a bit of a brute, but that's all show. All the little blue guy really wants is to keep his beloved balloons safe. Personally, if we wanted to keep our balloons out of harm's way, we wouldn't leave them lying around mazes with moving blocks and walking mines, but that's just us. Help Nudge across 40 challenging levels in this charming and devious little puzzler!

Elements of Arkandia In Undefined's latest, you'll use match-3 to duel enemies and earn loot. Loot which you'll need to pay down the debt that your dad saddled you with while he goes gallivanting off. Wizard dads do that. Gallivant, I mean. The only question now is what Undefined will tackle next now that they've crossed off match-3. I humbly suggest full contact rock paper scissors.

Big Evil Robots In Big Evil Robots, you control a pint-sized protagonist armed with a slingshot and marbles, tasked with saving the city from a series of mechanical menaces. Aim your shots with the mouse and shoot marbles inside each robot to reach its glass-like core. Earn points and stars by collecting coins and firing as few marbles as possible.

The Boy with Tape on His Face Ok, so what have we got here? A couch. A window. Some scissors suspended from the ceiling. A present with a lid that's firmly taped down. And The Boy with Tape on His Face in the middle of it all. From BBC Three comes a short, comedy-driven point and click game starring Sam Wills as his quiet little character with a slab of tape over his mouth. His goal is quite simple, and if you're going to help him get inside that box, you'll need to solve some pretty strange puzzles.

Tag Attack Shooter fans! Has this ever happened to you? You're trying to enjoy blasting the latest wave of Galaga-inspired retro-baddies, but find that the old-school chiptune music and sound effects are drowned out by the relentless sounds of mouse clicking and space-bar tapping. There has to be a better way to launch a space bullet, right? Well, Devilish Games has heard your concerns, and the result is Tag Attack: a shooter that focuses more on the aiming than the clicking, while not sacrificing the intensity of the genre.

Kuruma Kuruma is a room escape game from MyGames888 with fantastic minimalist design that features a room that's empty except for a shiny new car. In this one you will use found items several times until you are breathing the fresh roof air. It's a quick and fun experience perfect for a break, be it mid-day or mid-week.

Exposed Long for the halcyon days of point-and-click adventures, with their great stories, rib-tickling humor, and lovely pixel art? Exposed, a new point-and-click puzzle adventure from Procedural Activity is the closest you'll come without a time machine. Made in under 48 hours for the recent Ludum 23 Dare, you play a bored teenager with a Fonzie-esque pompadour who gets himself into a bit of trouble when he runs afoul of the local mad scientist. To make amends, you'll have to aid him in his morally bankrupt experiments and solve plenty of puzzles along the way.

Carveola Incident Sgt. Kirley and his men thought they were finally headed home after the war, but instead they find themselves ordered to join up with enemy forces and sent to defend a massive trench, apparently in the middle of nowhere. Why? Well, it turns out zombies really like trenches (and this one is pretty sweet, amirite?), and if you want to protect this one from the new undead menace, you'll have to master your gun and handle your troops in this simple but effective shooter/defense hybrid from WootraGames.

EMIT Who needs to be diplomatic when crash landing on an alien planet? Simply get out your gun and start shooting. Dodge bullets from many pixelated enemies, and level up to increase your chances of hitting them back. Frantic retro shooting fun awaits!

Ball Drop One Ball Drop One, produced by Finnish developer Ville Helin, is an interesting blend of pachinko and pinball. Drop your ball into the playing field, trying to rack up as many points as possible. If your ball hits a skull ball or stops moving, it explodes and the round ends. Simple enough, right?

Scales Escape A set of scales and a bunch of musical flourishes set the stage for this short yet sweet escape game from Rose Key. With clues and ciphers hidden everywhere, will you be able to find a way out?

Handheld Video Game Trapped inside a classic Gameboy, help an anonymous little 8-bit character to escape his world in this retro platform game from Folmer Kelly. Or don't, and take him through an endless gauntlet of spikes and platforms. It's short but worth the 5 minutes it takes to beat.

Inferno 2: Meltdown Fire! In the Diner! Fire! In the Cake Factory! Another spree of accidental flame outbreaks is afflicting the land of Casual Gaming, and its once again up to the little robot fire-fighter that could to put them out. So is the premise of The Podge's puzzle platformer sequel, Inferno 2: Meltdown.

Escape from the Same Room 2 Escape from the Same Room 2 contains everything we like about our Tesshikins: photorealistic graphics, catchy music, and logical puzzles. It's four interconnected rooms, all of which look alike at first glance: a little teakettle on a round table, a green box on a square pedestal, a mysterious picture on the wall next to a button that doesn't do anything. Obviously, you've got to solve puzzles that span all four rooms if you're to get out, with or without the usual Happy Coin.

Roly-Poly Eliminator 2 Playing with your mouse, you have to kill all the monsters on-screen. To do so you have to remove blocks or pop bubbles by clicking on them, alternatively slashing through chains with a sweep movement. The point is to work out the sequence required to get all of the monsters. There is a difficulty curve, but it steeps slowly over the fifty levels. If you enjoyed the rest of the series, you'll be all over this. And if you haven't, but like the idea of some physics-puzzle fun, give it a play!

Hambo 2 The city of Chi-hog-o has been under the iron snout of Pig Capone for far too long. It's up to our old friend Hambo and our new friend Bacon to use their kind words and guns to smoke out the swine lord once and for all. Fans of the original should recognize the hallmarks of this puzzle/shooter hybrid: the wide selection of weapons, the cheeky sense of humor, the clever level design, the slippery physics, the stringent ammo requirements, and the comprehensive level editor.

Mummy Busters Mummy Busters is a puzzle platformer by Dharmasta AW where you clear pyramids of all the somethings strange that are skulking its halls. The Last Ninja From Another Planet Mutants have overrun the universe, and it's up to the galaxy's last ninja to travel back in time to take them all down. Leap from wall-to-wall to take them down in this puzzler, but watch where you land!

Fog and Thunder If video games are any indication, the world we live in is filled with dungeons stocked with progressively more difficult enemies and convenient puzzles designed to help us descend further into darkness. Tequibo's Fog and Thunder doesn't try to hide the fact that it's built around the feeling of being lost in a roguelike RPG, but the action-oriented gameplay is different than what you might expect, as it employs light-based mechanics that affect everything from enemies to exits to your own special abilities. Where's a good pair of night vision goggles when you need them?

Rancho Ranch Strange times down on the farm. Alien crop circles have scrambled your animals, so you need to rotate them around until all matching animals are grouped together. It may sound easy, but with 40 levels and hazards to keep specific animal types away from, as well as a few other twists, it's a challenging puzzle game with a great presentation for all ages.
