Games Featured:
- • Naked King
- • Hanger
- • Guy of My Dreams
- • Seer
- • Rescuebot
What do you need this week? We've got you covered, whatever it is!... as long as it's a naked king, bodily trauma, devils, rubber duckies, or robots. We figured that covered all possible bases.
Games Featured:
- • Dead Runner
- • Monster Dash
- • Cave Run
It's a bunch of running games! It seems that after Canabalt came along, speed-based dashing games became a staple genre. There are tons of Canabalt clones around, but these titles do something a bit different than just let you hop over rooftops.
Games Featured:
- • Jables's Adventures
- • L'Abbaye des Morts
- • PlasmaPig
We've been fortunate enough to receive a number of big indie releases these last weeks, but the "even more indie" small devs aren't sitting on their hands, as evidenced by the games below. Behold, free awesomeness!

- • The Deeplight Expedition
- • Porch Escape 2
- • You MIGHT Get Nervous

This week on Link Dump Friday, we take you into a journey of your deepest, darkest subconscious!... or maybe an evil labyrinth. Or perhaps into the sky!... Or maybe just your front porch. Platforming, puzzling, twitch-gaming and ornithology abounds!
Games Featured:
- • Minim
- • So Long, Oregon!
- • Dark Nebula 2
- • Mishap: An Accidental Haunting
You know that feeling you get when you play one game for a really long time and it's kinda weird playing another game for a change? I did that with Dark Nebula 2. Couldn't help it, it's a trap of addictiveness. Careful!
Games Featured:
- • MADRIS
- • Infinity Bit
- • Tales of Unspoken World
- • Under the Garden
A Game By Its Cover competition has ended, all the votes are in, and the games are ready to play! The competition asked artists to craft cover art for imaginary games, then the programmers stepped in and made games based on the art. We've already featured a few of the contenders in the competition (Cat Poke, 8:Capsule, Dot Order Tie, and Love Letter), so below we'll highlight a few other favorites from the competition.
Games Featured:
- • Dream Tower

This week on Link Dump Friday; airstrikes, Santa Claus, little blue critter thingies, dragons, and... fish! Well, we wanted to make sure you got your brainfood somehow. We worry, you know!
I just want to take a moment out of our regular review schedule to thank a few sites who were gracious enough to review game entries from our Casual Gameplay Design Competition #8. It would be really nice to see this list expanded upon for future competitions.
Games Featured:
- • My Paper Plane 2 (3D)
- • Galcon
- • Choice of Romance
- • Andoku Sudoku
- • Laser Reflections
So many new Android games, so little time to play them all! Here's a protip for you: instead of social interaction, try an Android game! Cell phones are already wonderful tools for spurning your pals, so why not ditch the implied SMS communication and have some fun?!
Games Featured:
- • Sugar Cube
- • Mr. Blocko: Super Tournament Edition
- • Alex Adventure
CUUUUTE games this week. So unabashedly cute. Sugar cubes and tiny block guys. Squeaking mushrooms and elevators that play elevator music. Ohhhh, I'm gonna burst with sugary sweetness.
Games Featured:
- • Treadmillasaurus Rex
- • Love Trampoline
- • The Birdinator
- • Up Down Ready
- • Sugar Rush
This week on Link Dump Friday; games of reflexes, puzzles, and arcade action! We all live on a love trampoline... in space... with the tooth fairy... and MC Hammer... and a cyborg bird... and a t-rex on a treadmill. I don't know about you, but that was actually my aspiration when I was five years old.
Our 8th competition today comes to a close and we are here to honor all of the games that were entered, as well as award a few prizes, too. The "sandbox" theme provided a formidable challenge, while one entry captivated and moved the casual games community with its multiple rooms filled with puzzles and, of course, sand.
Games Featured:
- • Meow Meow Happy Fight
- • Vampire Saga: Pandora's Box
- • Arachnophilia

- • Chawp!
- • Liquisity 2

The exclamation mark. It is thought to have originated from the Latin word for joy, lo, and made an appearance in printed English literature in the 1400s. Now, developers can append it to the end of their game titles to denote happiness, excitement or, indeed, to encourage you to exclaim the name outloud.
Games Featured:
- • Ray Quest
- • Sophiphobia
- • Ozee
- • Wasabi
- • flowEST
This week on Link Dump Friday; a vertical shooter, a point-and-click escape, and some sort of... squidy... guy... sailing through the air... um. Yeah.

Games Featured:
- • Everlands
- • Simon Tatham's Portable Puzzle Collection
- • Puzzle Attack
Human beings love puzzles. This was proven eons ago when man first drew grids in the sand and placed various arrangements of four stones together as he gradually moved them downwards and removed them from the dirt when they formed a horizontal line. What, did you think Tetris was a modern invention? This week's Mobile Monday is stacked with three puzzle games for the Android platform. Download 'em, play 'em, and love 'em for a very long time, as each one's got a ton of content to sap your brain for all it's worth.
Games Featured:
- • D.O.T.: Dot Order Tie
- • The Moonkeeper
- • Mind Jolt

Dinosaurs, cheetocorns, treasure chests, clouds, cats, and awkward massages? Sounds like a party to me! This week's Link Dump Friday offers everything from point-and-click escapes to retro platforming with a tasty twist. Also, there is a puppy in a birthday hat. I am totally not making that up.
Casual Gameplay Design Competition #8 games are now ready to play!! All entries are available to play immediately on the competition page. There is a place to enter comments for each game, so please use each respective thread to leave your kind feedback and constructive criticisms for the game authors. The competition period will span 3 weeks, and we will announce the winners of the competition at that time.

Just a quick reminder that there is just 1 week left to polish up your design for a browser game that incorporates the theme "SANDBOX". See the official competition announcement for details. We are expecting entries to be on the light side this time, so your chances of taking top prize is better than ever. So finish up and get those entries in!
Games Featured:
- • ReBounce
- • Helsing's Fire
- • Pure Hidden
A proper Victorian gentleman never swears or loses his temper. He should never fail to raise his hat to an acquaintance, and if he should bump into someone or step upon a lady's dress, a sincere "Beg your pardon" should be uttered. Also, fist bumps are appropriate only when in the company of other similarly-bodacious gentlemen.
After an extensive beta period where the game moved from a download to a browser-based Unity3D experience, the 3D platform adventure game Atmosphir is open and ready for everyone! Fueled by user-created content, Atmosphir allows anyone to craft custom levels using a simple, thorough, and surprisingly fun editor.
Games Featured:
- • Sulkeis
- • Nation of Reincars
- • EverEternal WinterWorld 2
One of the games featured on this Weekend Download is a product of the GameJolt Indie Game Demake Contest, a recently-completed competition that tasked game creators to strip their favorite indie game of anything more complex than a few elements and scale it down to a retro size. The results were excellent, and you can find dozens more to play on the contest page, including some browser games!
Games Featured:
- • Darkness 2
- • Toe Nail Wheel
- • Shadow Snake
- • Inside a Dead Skyscraper
- • Speed Escape 4
It's Friday, and what better start could you ask for your weekend then snakes, toes, paint, and locked rooms? The only thing that might possibly make this week's Link Dump Friday assembly better is strawberry pancakes. So we sent you some! Keep an eye out for the soggy envelope; you can thank us later.
Games Featured:
- • Moxie 2
- • Jump o' Clock
- • Land Former

Some things in life you take for granted. Some things are always there and you never even stop to realize how important they are to you. These things fill a gap that only exists when they aren't there, leaving you free to live your life without disturbance. That is, until the day your keyboard goes on the fritz and you have to use a funky backup from the closet. Oh, ergonomic bliss, how your comfortable shape has molded my soul! Also: games are below.
Games Featured:
- • Robotz DX
- • Man Enough
- • Illuminator
- • Mirage
It's not often you find songs with lyrics in a video game. It's even less common that those lyrics explain how to play the game. Man Enough does both of those and somehow manages to squeeze in an image of a manly moustache between each round. Be impressed with catchy expositions!!!
Games Featured:
- • PixEvo - The Fountain
- • Moovlin PC
- • Noggins
- • Rat Ranger
- • Beat Bot
It's Friday, and where are you, dear reader? If your answer is anything other than "Kicking back in my fuzzy slippers with my beverage of choice and reading Link Dump Friday to get me primed for the weekend", well, then I am very disappointed in you! (Other acceptable answers include "Rescuing kittens from trees", "Writing a letter in support of fair-trade products", and "Rocking out with Tenacious D".) THIS WEEK: pixels, robots, Minoto, and coloured self-aware squares with haunting gazes forever locked in a featureless black void and unable to cry out for help before they blip out of their cold, lonely existence. Exciting!
Games Featured:
- • Dot 2

Games Featured:
- • Cut It
- • Tower Bombarde
- • Rise: Sea of Static
Wait, so you mean, these games were just sitting there? Waiting for someone to grab them? Nobody was watching, no one at all? What about cameras or electric shock thingies? Nothing? Hmm. So I guess it's ok you downloaded them, isn't it? K whatever, let's play.

Games Featured:
- • GodFinger
- • Colorfall
- • Dungeon Solitaire
Time for more portable gaming! This week we've got a mixed selection of apps ranging from simulation to puzzle to card games. As usual, each game does something particularly well, whether it's a gameplay feature, an interface, or an innovative concept on its own.
Games Featured:
- • Attack of the 50ft Robot
- • A Picture is Worth a Thousand Orbs
- • Techno-Drone Alliance
What goes into a Weekend Download feature? The recipe is a secret, but it involves lots of game playing, internet searching, and cinnamon. Especially that last one.
We've just finished a complete walkthrough (with images) for Dream Chronicles 4: The Book of Air! Be warned: contains major spoilers, so proceed only as a last resort. Be sure to read our review of Dream Chronicles 4.
Games Featured:
- • One Hour Back
- • Ninja Run
- • Nightmare Maze

Games Featured:
- • Super Quickhook
- • Pro Zombie Zoccer
- • Pix'n Love Rush
Two words for you at the start of this glorious new week: quickhook, and super. But, not in that order. You're smart, you can figure it out, no matter what day of the week it is.
Games Featured:
- • Surphasm
- • Rein
- • Dubloon
Nothing like a tall, cool glass of game to wash the week out of your system and get you ready for the weekend. Dubloon could easily keep you busy until Monday morning rolls around, but Surphasm is unique enough to deserve your attention. Rein is a great diversion when you're ready for an adventure that won't take you a week to complete.
Games Featured:
- • Ejector
- • Tower of Doom
- • Catnarok - Longcat Rampage
- • Gem Grab
- • Dragondot's Sky
If it's Friday, it must be time for Link Dump Friday! This week; puzzles, tanks, dragons, and internet fads that should have died out long ago! It's a fine selection of games that were carefully analysed to make sure they were perfect for you and not at all thrown together in a frantic five minutes before this article was due. I love you too much for that!
Games Featured:
- • Miner Disturbance
- • The Package
- • Warehouse 51
- • Grokion
With power rumored to be as great as the Dreamcast, iPhone games are slowly beginning to stretch their legs and show what the platform can do. Grokion is a great example of this, piling detailed 3D rendered visuals into a 2D game that looks and plays great.
Games Featured:
- • GunGirl 2
- • Baggage
- • Beeps and Blips
- • Lackadaisium
Piling on the clichés can be fun, and the heaviest-hitting release this weekend, GunGirl 2, does just that. So, ig releases come in small packages. Also, a rose by any other name would smell as sweet. And there's no time like the present.
Games Featured:
- • IheartPanda
- • Unnatural Selection
- • I Wish, I Wish - Prologue
- • Fantastic Contraption 2
- • Ninja or Nun 2
This week, PANDAS! WORMS! NUNS! And it still makes more sense than most episodes of Lost! Train your eye, your aim, and your evolutionary capabilities in this week's Link Dump Friday, specially baked just for you!
Games Featured:
- • Carcassonne
- • Sigma
- • THINK
We could go on and on about all the games featured below, but let's face it, you'll probably stop listening after you see the word Carcassonne. Yes, Carcassonne is out for the iPod Touch, iPhone and iPad, so you can play it in-between times that you'd probably be playing it anyway.
Games Featured:
- • Blind
- • Hydorah
- • The Life of a Pacifist is often Fraught with Conflict
Multiple endings HURRAH! Different outcomes to the stories you are playing are nothing new, but it isn't often that the games are short and entertaining enough to encourage you to gather them all. It's interesting to play through several times just to see how your actions affect the game world. Two of this week's games feature different endings, and you'll definitely want to experience some of these alternate conclusions!
Games Featured:
- • Hot Ninja Moon Moon
- • Rescue a Chicken
- • LARRY: Big Dipper
- • Mamono Sweeper
- • The Slob
Ever wanted to play a skull ninja while you rescued a chicken from a field of demons that was also falling down a bottomless mine shaft?... well... you can't. At least not all at once. But this week's Link Dump Friday does feature all of those things and more! Lucky you!
We're pleased to announce the next Casual Gameplay Design Competition! It's taken some time, but Google Play Android Games is finally beginning to attract some great games! Many of them have a dual existence on the iTunes App Store, but a few exclusives are starting to crop up here and there. Either way, gaming on your Android phone is getting better and better, and we're here to cover t
CGDC8 announcement coming June 1st!
Games Featured:
- • Punishment: The Punishing
- • BulletZORZ
- • ProtoType
One of my favorite things about independent games are not the games themselves. It's the games' names. When you don't have to attract a certain demographic to plop down cash for your game so you can keep your massive studio in California air conditioned, you're free to have fun and call your game Mr. Heart Loves You Very Much, Squid Yes! Not So Octopus!, or Punishment: The Punishing! We love you too, indie game creators!
Games Featured:
- • Thanks Tanks!
- • Contentric
- • The Enchanted Cave
- • Triggerman
- • Short Film: Every Day the Same Dream
- • Project Flame Demo;
What awaits you behind this innocuous link? Could it be... Link Dump Friday?!... well, yes. Obviously. Featuring platformers, strategies, and a bonus video made in tribute to a popular indie flash art game, this is one with something for everyone. Unless you're allergic to fun. In which case, here's some spreadsheets.
Games Featured:
- • Kometen
- • Phoenix Spirit
- • Pebble Jump
- • Transylvania Adventure
Sometimes the iTunes App Store is nothing but disappointing. Sometimes it's filled with a tolerable amount of playable games. Other times there are so many great things to choose from you kinda flip out and cry a little bit. This is one of the good weeks, so prepare to bawl.
Games Featured:
- • Visit
- • Aztec God
- • You Found the Grappling Hook
Certain conventions in video games will never change. Platformers always involve hopping on enemies' heads. Zombies want to eat your brains. Role playing games will always start with the main character being woken up from sleep. And swinging from walls and ceilings is fun. Let's keep it that way for a very long time, shall we?
Games Featured:
- • Absentia Episode 1
- • Time to Wake Up
- • The Insanity
- • Desolation: The Stages of Anxiety
- • Darkbase 2: The Hive
Boils and ghouls, assemble! This special bonus edition of your very own Link Dump Friday features spooks and scares for the hardier among you. - • Blackfoot
- • STREEMERZ

A few games for your weekend perusal, all of which summon that coveted "oh, neat!" moment at least once! Also, it's a miracle I didn't type a D instead of a T at the end of the first game.

- • Wayfinder Episode 1
- • Isora and Muku
- • Great Dungeon in the Sky
- • Before the Law
- • Uncle's Old Times
With aliens, panda bears, yeti, moles, witches, and Kafka, this might be the strangest Link Dump Friday yet! All it needs is for you to click this link and dive on in.
Games Featured:
- • Sword & Poker 2
- • 100 Rogues
- • RPG Snake
Last week was an amazing week to own an iPhone or iPod Touch. 100 Rogues, a highly-anticipated game from Dinofarm Games, finally appeared on the iTunes App Store, prompting thousands of eager gamers to hit that "buy now" button. Not only that, but the massively addictive Sword & Poker received a sequel that does nothing but improve upon the original. We're supposed to be casual gamers and all, but it's ok to spend multiple hours on these games. Really.
Games Featured:
- • Eternally Us
- • Hero Core
New releases from either Daniel Remar or Ben Chandler, both highly-recognizable figures in the indie community, is always cause for fun-type celebration! Their games aren't as widely known in the mainstream gaming community as they should be, giving us cool people that smug, superior feeling of having a secret source of great entertainment.
Five amazing, cross-platform indie games, one gorgeous sale. The Humble Indie Bundle lets you pick up World of Goo, Aquaria, Gish, Lugaru and Penumbra: Overture for one magically low price of whatever you want to pay. All titles are DRM-free and run on Windows, Linux and Mac operating systems.

Evildoers, beware! Link Dump Friday is on the prowl! This week we feature some sublime weirdness, point-and-clicks, racing, and some good old-fashioned puzzle/platforming action.
Games Featured:
- • Paper Bridge
- • Sword of Fargoal
- • Babo Crash
I am pleased to report that this week's Mobile Monday features three games that are certifiably "replayable". Each one practically begs you to come back and play again and again, and they all deliver something unique each time you do!
Games Featured:
- • Brave Island Diver
- • Needles
- • Jump Pirate
- • Paradise Fort
It's Ludum Dare time again! Another competition, another healthy round of entertainment and creativity. Over 200 games were submitted this time around, each involving the theme of "islands". Below you'll find a few of our choices out of the lot. Be sure to check out all the games and, if you're cool, cast your vote for the winners!
Games Featured:
- • Truffle Hunter
- • Mouse Megatron
- • Dummy Never Fails
- • Release the Mooks
- • Haunted Mirror Maze
- • Clockwords Act 1
What waits behind this synopsis text? Is it another installment of everyone's favourite Link Dump Friday, featuring pigs, robots, dummies, and furry stackable monsters? Or is it a horde of flesh eating scarabs just waiting for you to click and set them free so their tiny but so painful pincers can seek out your tender elbows?... well, it's probably another Link Dump, but just in case, you may want to get ready to run.
Games Featured:
- • Tilt to Live
- • Bit Pilot
- • Pew!
How about some arcade games to spice up your Monday? Back in the day, arcade games were designed to challenge players to master the game's mechanics for little more reward than a high score. You don't have to worry about losing quarters now, but the same "play it until you're good at it" gameplay still challenges and satisfies.
Games Featured:
- • An Ordinary Shooter
- • There IS A Wall
- • Restricted Recall
- • Aftermath
This edition of Weekend Download is all about failure. Failure to escape a missile attack, failure to create a non-ordinary game, failure to climb over a wall, and failure to, well, not die. Failure is part of playing video games, as without risk there's no reward for succeeding, but the titles below use failing in some creative ways!
Games Featured:
- • Dreamy Island
- • La Reggina di Ripicche
- • Sydney Shark
- • Magic Orbs
- • Volt Connect
Hey there stranger, fancy meeting you again! This week on your Link Dump Friday; bears, sharks, and magical orbs, oh my! Four puzzles with one big action title tossed in to help you start your weekend off right.
Games Featured:
- • LineUp 2
- • Lt. Fly Rise of the Arachnids
- • Vector Runner
- • Numbl
Hey, remember that Flash game that had a name that we featured before? Me too! I also remember it because I just played it on my iPod Touch.
Games Featured:
- • Zombie Movie
- • LinePatterns
- • Action Fist
Meta challenge! If you can choose the game featured below that's clearly better than the others, you win the meta game! Too bad that's impossible, 'cause all of the games are extraordinary pieces of gaming art. :-P
Games Featured:
- • Totem Breaker
- • Flaming Zombooka
- • Tealygotchi
- • Bad Birds
- • Fish Tales Deluxe
Welcome to your Friday! (We have to stop meeting like this!) This week; fish, birds, dragons, and zombies! It's like the best zoo ever, only in your browser, and with less overpriced souvenirs and crying children. Probably.
Games Featured:
- • Star Wars: Cantina
- • Falling Sands
- • Falling Sands 2
- • VH1 Classic Presents: Intellivision
Sweet, sweet nostalgia is the theme for this week's Mobile Monday, as two (arguably all three) of our games bank on invoking that rosey feeling of reliving our past in modern form. A Star Wars game that's actually good? Check. Intellivision? DOUBLE CHECK!
Games Featured:
- • Parallel Universe
- • Blue Roller
- • Ninja Rush
A handful of simple games to help you pass your weekend! Nothing that will entrance you for hours, just a couple of action arcade games and a platformer that's actually two platformers running at the same time. Nice, simple fun.
Games Featured:
- • Synopsis Quest
- • Minima Time
- • Plump Escape
- • Flood Runner 2
- • Mechanics
Another Friday, another Link Dump, another fat dog that needs to find exercise DVDs to escape his house, and another mostly-featureless blobby thing running through a cavern from multicoloured waves. You know, just like any other old week.
Games Featured:
- • Space Shuttle
- • CookieCat
- • Steam Wars
What kid hasn't had dreams of being an astronaut? Exploring space, bouncing around in low gravity, meeting aliens, piloting a super-cool rocket ship. Ok, so maybe one of those is a bit far-fetched. This week's Mobile Monday features a game that's probably the closest thing most of us will get to flying outside of our planet's atmosphere. Or meeting an alien, for that matter.
Games Featured:
- • Neonite
- • Diminish
- • They Need to be Fed
Welcome to the woooooorld of tomorrow!!!! That'd be really profound if you read it yesterday. Why isn't it profound to read things about yesterday today? I, for one, am pretty darned impressed people can remember events of days past. Things like the release of Dissipate or Jesse Venbrux's older games. Not that those were small events, mind you, just that they happened at a moment in time that is not this very moment in time...
Games Featured:
- • Time Sensitive Materials
- • Unreal City
- • Kaban Steeplechase
- • A Stitch In Time: Fishing Game
- • Bread Girl
- • Tremerz
A veritable buffet of games for you to gorge upon on this week's Link Dump Friday, including an ambitious Alternate Reality Title, a boar with a gun, and more of Minoto's trademark cute insanity. This is also a serious article for serious people and there are no pop culture jokes in it at all. Nope. Not a one.
Games Featured:
- • The Hero
- • Kerplinkus
- • Fox Vs. Duck
Who here hasn't wanted to be a hero and save the world at least once during their life? Trick question, of course we all want to wear spandex and fly around the city doing cool things! I mean, that's not just me, is it? Yellow spandex?
Games Featured:
- • Jump, Copy, Paste
- • Digital: A Love Story
- • Ruined
This weekend we have an enormously interesting game to share: Digital: A Love Story. The title encapsulates the experience quite well, as it's a game that's both about 20 year old technology and love.
Games Featured:
- • A Blob's Tale 2
- • Rebuzz
- • Don't Save The Princess

It's a roguelike-like Weekend Download! Two of our games this weekend snuggle up to the famously non-casual sub-genre without turning up the complexity. Same RPG flavor, one tenth the time commitment! Quaffing potions should be a standard roguelike feature, though...

One of the darling developers on the iTunes App Store, NimbleBit, has released yet another simple but crazy fun game. Sometimes I wonder if those guys stay up at night thinking of ways to make me stare at my iPod for hours on end. Why spend all of your time toiling away on one game when you can make a ton of them? The 529-in-1 Klik & Play Pirate Kart II: Kart Harder is all about that, and the games featured below are from this recent event. 102 people contributed a total of 529 games over the weekend, each made in under two hours. It's quantity over quality, so don't expect the next Sprout, but do expect a lot of wacky ideas, one-trick games, and maybe even a few things that, once seen, can never be unseen. Check out a random selection of the 529 games, and don't be afraid to download and play many more!
