Alice House No.2: The Pool of Tears Things are getting curiouser and curiouser as we continue our way through FunkyLand's version of the Alice in Wonderland story. This time around it's five dodoes you must find before you can escape-the-room. The room being a stately hallway with lots of doors but no apparent way out. Very strange. Alice may have cried a pool of tears to be stuck in such a pickle, but if you're resourceful, you'll soon find your way through.

Lift For Life Lift for Life is an escape game by SuzumeDr, whom you may remember for Triangle a while back. The game takes place in a room with a somewhat athletic theme, as well as an adjustable glass table that's a little too low, a nice TV hooked to a game console, two strange pedestals that seem to react to one another, and a few other fixings. Naturally, you've got some puzzle-solving and some inventory management to do. It's a splendid escaper that's definitely worth a try to break up your weekday blues, so go out there and get your Lift on! For Life!

Inush Escape 3 Short but oh so sweet, this little escape game by Inush has you working together with a pup simultaneously to solve puzzles in order to get outside! It's cute enough to give you cavities, AND it's got two endings!

Christmas Eve (Escape) Enjoy the anticipation of Christmas Eve year-round with this amusing room escape packed with an astonishing number of puzzles for such a small room. The basic premise of the game is simple: it is Christmas Eve, your boyfriend is on his way over, the tree is not decorated, and you can't remember where you stored the ornaments. Can you decorate before your date arrives? Better hope so!

Escape from the Cake Shop After all the predicaments Choko-Chai's three cats have found themselves in, and escaped their way out of, it's their turn to play purrfect heroes when the baker's apprentice is locked inside but can't find the door code. I Remain It's the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine... wait, no I don't! As one of the last survivors of a zombie apocalypse, you've managed to hole up inside an abandoned house. In this surreal point-and-click experience, you'll go through different departments of the mind, try to mend an ailing psyche and get utterly creeped out.

Quest in the Dark Quest in the Dark is an exceptionally cute and surprisingly engaging point-and-click adventure. Navigate through the haunted mansion, collecting items and solving puzzles as you go. Beware the various ghosts and skeletons that stand in your path (or don't. They aren't that bad, as it turns out), and above all else, don't forget to find the magic potion that will set you free!

Chikarou 5 A bite-sized escape puzzler from Dghgbakufu that drops you in the middle of a cross-shaped five-room dungeon and dares you to solve its puzzles and escape to the surface. Bakufu shies away from the complicated clichés like using screwdrivers to pry open panels and finding power cords to plug in computers. All the keys and doors are symbol-coded, and there's no pixel-hunting, either; what little challenge this developer's games contain lies in deciphering the simple yet clever little clues to open the safes, which is fine for someone wanting a quick and easy escape but not so much for a challenge-seeker.

Escape from the Room with 10 Safes Hottategoya presents a math lover's dream escape: a room full of ten safes, nine of which remain locked until you arrange the proper algebraic equation to get them open. One by one, you'll gain the buttons needed to solve each numbers puzzle until, likely in a matter of mere minutes, you've earned the key to the exit door. Whatever your attitude toward algebra, you should feel happily liberated once you succeed.

Must Escape the Museum In Must Escape the Museum, you play a child who's fallen asleep in a museum bathroom and wakes up after everyone is gone. Can you find your way out before your parents start to worry?

In Polar Escape, a new escape game from Just Pine Games, your coworkers have locked you in someone's room, and you have to get out so you can be rescued. Though the game is very short, it's quite intuitive and has a quirky sense of humor that leaves you wanting to see more from the developer.

O-RI-GA-MI The setting of O-RI-GA-MI is made entirely of pieces of folded paper, making it probably the only handcrafted ETR in existence. From the furniture to the code panel to the unconventional fauna, almost everything that you see has been created out of a piece of paper and photographed in position. When you play, don't rush through it like you might some other games; this one is meant to be savored.

Neil the Nail Hammers are jerks. We've known it all along, as our swollen thumbs can attest, and don't think we haven't heard them sniggering each time they "accidentally" slip on us either. Enter Neil (he's a nail) who, together with Mr Magnet and the lovely Drew (she's a screw) are here to help the resistance put a stop to the hammers and their bullying in this short but oh-so-sweet little point-and-click puzzle adventure.

Tombscape 2 Now that the Mayan apocalypse is nigh upon us, it is only natural that we doomed mortals should develop a keen interest in all things Meso-American. Tombscape 2 casts the player as an explorer of Mayan ruins, whose quest to understand the mysteries of the pre-Columbian ancients may help you forget the impending advent of the end times.

Otomaco: Last Jade Journey Heard about Otomaco? Apparently it's a legendary city that everyone and their orc wants to get to. And, as part of a merry band of weird looking heroes, so do you. But when sudden capture puts a damper on your journey, it's up to you to free your companions and escape in this flawed-but-fun point-and-click adventure from the creators of the Tortuga series.

Rain This quietly charming escape-the-room game from Yonashi is light on challenge yet manages to win us over with presentation. Puzzles are rather standard, but it's perfectly designed to divert our attention with its shyly sweet design. Whether it's a rainy day pastime or a break from work you need, fun is just a point and click away.

Gwen Gwen is a surprisingly gorgeous surrealistic adventure composed of richly detailed scenes filled with art, animation, sound and interactivity. With an over-arching narrative that borrows from the teachings and beliefs of Buddahism, this point-and-click game has more soul to reveal than most other games of its type. From Taiwan.

Fruit Kitchens No. 24: Papaya Yellow Need a sunny way to escape from your day for a few minutes? Funkyland's light and perky game is definitely of the short and sweet variety as you hunt for seven papayas before you're allowed to leave this wonderfully kitschy kitchen.

Yonashi Escape 12 This tiny escape game is light on content but big on cuteness. Without a lot to explore, finding a way out should be easy, right? So what's with all those rat statues?

Death and Betrayal in Romania: A Dana Knightstone Novel Pull up a chair next to a toasty fire (or on a sunlit beach) and settle in for a great, cheesy romantic hidden object adventure involving ghost lovers desperate for a resolution to their haunting story. Can bestselling author Dana Knightstone solve the mystery before a spirit takes her for his bride?

Adventures of Veronica Wright: <br />Escape from the Present Help our spunky, white-smiled heroine repair her great great grandfather's time machine to escape the creepy alien beings that are pursuing her—and threatening our very existence! Full of corny plot devices and lots of cheese, this part point-and-click adventure, part escape-the-room game is best played with tongue-in-cheek and a tolerance for rather clunky inventory controls. That said, if you feel your inner Marty McFly/Nancy Drew/Fox Mulder clamoring to get out, Adventures of Veronica Wright: Escape from the Present is exactly the game to do it.

The Silent Age: Episode One The Silent Age: Episode One from House on Fire is built like a classic point-and-click adventure game. But it's that stark simplicity that makes The Silent Age such a fetching game, one that will have you eagerly awaiting future installments!

DOOORS 3 More plus door equals DOOORS. Sounds like something a mad doctor would scream out as he tears at his hair and cackles, doesn't it? Perhaps this same mad doctor is who locked you up, sentencing you to puzzle your way through one door, only to come to the next, and the next. Forty doors to be exact...and, if other installments in the series prove anything, there may be more to come. Regardless, the fun on your mobile device is near endless!

Haunted Room 2 Escape from a very angry ghost and the scariest Captain America knock-off action figure ever seen in this haunting room escape sequel from Noprops.

Metropolis Amnesia An escape-the-room game that contains some winks at science-fiction cult favorites giving Metropolis Amnesia its heart. The design is well-planned and easy to navigate, quickly completed in or near the 15 minute mark. In that span of time spent exploring this mod- designed apartment, you will need to be observant, jot down a few notes, do a little deductive reasoning, and make sense of a jumbled picture—yet it's easy—not so much as to insult your intelligence, but easy enough to make it an engaging moment of repose.

Glue Point-and-click your way through this modest escape-the-room game from Tateita, encountering a number of slightly sticky, never abstruse puzzles until you find the key to the exit door. Best yet, you won't end up with fingers stuck together or glue globs on your clothes.

Escape from the Catacombs Pine Studios serves up a short and only slightly spooky escape, where you find yourself trapped with skeletons, an angry alligator, cryptic clues, and puzzles. Also free for iOS and Android!

Stamp Rally Escape 2 A nice mix of logic, use of found objects, and strangeness make Stamp Rally Escape 2 a worthy sequel to the first Stamp Rally Escape. Judging by the increasing difficulty of the puzzles the unseen RIDLRIDL (or Cogito Ergo Sum) are working towards something that will challenge Wan and Nyan to their very limits, will drive them further and further into the unknown of puzzle solving, will tax every cell in their bodies as they strive for the elusive prize at the end

Forgotten Hill: Fall Why is it that whenever the protagonist's car breaks down in the middle of the night they go to the only house with no lights on? And then they just invite themselves inside as if they owned the place. Serves them right when the door snaps closed behind them. This point-and-click horror escape game has you in such a predicament, but even a rude person like yourself doesn't deserve what's awaiting you in this house.

Escape the Room: Limited Time When you woke up this morning, what was your biggest problem? Bedhead? That homework you forgot to do? Or what about that bomb someone surgically implanted in your chest after kidnapping you while you slept to force you to play "a game" with them? Gameday Inc delivers a flawed but incredibly slick little Android title that mixes fantastically cheesy thriller storytelling with some solid puzzles to make a memorable free escape title well worth checking out.

Button As with most escapes, Button is set in a room filled with all manner of doodads and puzzles: a few paintings on the wall, a red couch, a grandfather clock mysteriously missing its hands, a bookshelf... and a tempting red button behind a metallic hatch beside the door, helpfully marked "DO NOT PUSH" in both English and Japanese. How you treat the button will affect the outcome of the game.

Tsuregemu 4 Kung Fu paradise's little brainchild, Tsuregemu 4, drops you in the three-room house of an animated white stick figure named Shirojin; his only housemate is his cat. Obviously, your task is to escape from the house by any means necessary, even if you have to solve a hundred puzzles to do it. The drill should be familiar by now: click around to inspect and interact with things and pick up inventory items, and use or examine things from your golden inventory bar at the bottom. Tsuregemu 4 won't be winning any awards with their 3D graphics, but you can tell what you're looking at most if not all of the time. The game's true meat, however, is its puzzles, which are original and cleverly designed without being too nonsensical, and many of them require interacting with Shirojin and his cat in various ways.

Escape to the Spa Despite the lack of English, this is perhaps the most accessible of Tesshi-e's games. No color puzzles to confound the colorblind, and no construction to infuriate the mechanically inept. Just smooth music, a very Zen space, and lots of escaping logic to serve your casual gameplay needs. Get ready for a relaxing trip, complete with a nice hot soak waiting at the end.

The Three Bamboo Princesses Ever wondered where the stars of Choko-Chai's cat-centric escape games come from? Wonder no more in this seriously adorable game where you'll need to have them work together to escape from a locked room!

Nekonote Escape 7: Doll C'mon, everyone is doing it! Let's tear apart the place, looking through piles of stuff or branches of plants, looking for colorful, small, and oval objects! Eggs, you say? No, no, who searches for eggs anymore? We're hunting for dolls. Ok, just one doll: Lion's doll. But we might just collect a basketful, anyways.

Flower Bloom Escape 2 Hana and Mai, done with their homework for the day, just want to go out to the park and play, but Hana's escape-game-loving mother has trapped them inside and hidden the key! A short but definitely sweet little escape game that has just the right level of challenge and an abundance of cheer to leave a smile on your face.

Craig Craig is your average potions maker. This timid and fretful... man, I think, overthinks most things, but when he wakes up one day to find that his door has been blocked by some hooligans, he can't overthink enough to find a way out in this free indie adventure.

100 Floors Escape Why do 100-floor buildings always insist on making you jump through a bunch of hoops just to make it to the top floor? Well, we don't care, because it's makes for a nice distraction. Created by Perfect Games Inc. 100 Floors Escape is a new escape game with "100" in the title (a theme so oddly prevalent it has become a genre in itself) for Android devices.

Empty Room Escape You are trapped. In a room. A room that is almost completely empty. The smartest and most logical thing to do would be to use your phone and call someone to get out, but you have no phone. So, armed with nothing but your common sense and puzzle-solving prowess you must unravel the mysteries of the room to escape. Think you have the brains to do it?

Fruits! Fruits! Fruits! Maybe you do need to be a little bit fruity to love escape-the-room games, but suzumeDr proves once again the satisfaction of being locked in a room with only your wits to free yourself. Tending to be more easy than some of this author's earlier works, this escape presents a handful of logic-based puzzles where the biggest challenge is uncovering the clues and putting them to work in the right place.
