Graffiti 2 In this room escape game by Nanchette, find a box of crayons and put them to use around the room building shelves and drawers, keys to unlock doors and other assorted useful objects. Scrawlings on the wall and floor transform into the beautiful creations you always knew you had in you, but Mom just couldn't see (Sheesh! You'd think she'd appreciate your amazingly affordable home redecorating.) Graffiti 2 is oodles of chromatic fun for the puzzle-solving interior designer in all of us.

Ruby Loft Escape Ruby Loft Escape is a wonderful and bracing mid-week treat, a visual and logical delight from a relative newcomer, one we're looking forward to seeing more of. So have fun robbing some poor rich person blind.

Mandrake 1 A point-and-click adventure set in a magical and mystical world that never was. Created by 3dpi Games, makers of the Tortuga series, Mandrake 1 begins a new series on the foibles of the Van der Dooms and their increasingly bitter dispute. The artwork has a nice, stylish hand drawn look done up in shades of black, white, and gray with just a hint of color here and there to liven things up.

Endless X'mas So what do you do when St. Nick turns your living quarters into a room escape puzzler for the holidays? Naturally, you try to escape. Endless X'mas is a good sample of what room escaping should be like. The puzzles are exceedingly creative compared to most, and the graphics and music are quite nice as well, bringing everything together into a quaint atmosphere.

Escape from the Similar Rooms 9 Furnished in Hottategoya's signature minimalism and a bit of surreal calm, these rooms do look very similar, don't they? Still, there's only one way you can get out. Three boxes each contain a key. Each of those three keys correspond to one of three locks on the door. Figure out how to open the boxes, gather the keys, and unlock the door to escape.

Space on the Case Space is a robot... a detective robot! So naturally when a bunch of cows are stolen from their space barn he gets called in to set things straight in this very silly point-and-click puzzle adventure from Carmel Games.

Aries Escape: Episode No.004 In this episode of Libertechno's escape game series, you're locked inside a small, studio apartment and need to gather an abundance of clues—colorful pieces of Legos, among other things—overlooking a fair amount of misdirection to solve the puzzles that will elicit your key to freedom. A changing cursor is a good friend in this situation, especially as certain items utilize tone-on-tone color camouflage to avoid detection. A generous portion of exploration and code breaking make our escape feel well-deserved in the end.

Sphere Core Sphere Core is the first game in the series of "Core" adventure games created by John Feltham. Not quite as well-crafted as the successors in the series, but John does a great job with creating a mysteriously ominous atmosphere within which to play. Short and sweet, this decent point-and-click lays the groundwork for the core series concept.

The Well Four teenagers have awoken something very old and very, very dangerous in the bottom of an old well hidden in a house. A point-and-click horror mystery designed to be played alongside the BBC miniseries of the same name, The Well trips itself up with bland or occasionally confusing gameplay, but is worth a look if you're a fan of good stories and ancient Pagan ceremonies. Hey, aren't we all?

Mystery Trackers: The Void After three well-known, eccentric public figures go missing inside an old house with a bad reputation, it's up to you to find out what happened to them. Easier said than done, since this is Void mansion, and there are more secrets, and more surprises, hidden within its walls and beyond than you could ever imagine. A remarkably creative and tremendously fun hidden-object adventure game that is definitely worth a look.

Firewall A Flash point-and-click game of the escape-the-room variety, Firewall is an advergame to promote this week's release of the new Harrison Ford film of the same name. Although fairly straightforward for a game of this genre, the team at Pod Digital Design have crafted an enjoyable interactive experience and injected a bit of randomness into it so that items are not always found in the same places.

Sepulchre A quiet train ride turns out to something else entirely in this short, bloodless and jumpless freeware horror adventure. Though potentially both too obvious in its twist and heavy in its symbolism, Sepulchre is a beautifully executed and eerie little tale that's worth checking out.

Legends of Ooo In Cartoon Network's hit series Adventure Time, recurrent villain the Ice King has a bit of an obsession with kidnapping princesses. Now in the new point and click adventure Legends of Ooo, he's kidnapped three of them, and it's up to Finn and Jake to stop him.

Elf Story You are Edwin, an ordinary kid, ready to beat your favorite game "The Legend of Hooligan" when, before you know it, you're lying unconscious on your bedroom floor. Paying homage to and parodying your favorite RPGs of old, this point-and-click adventure is a deep pool of satisfaction for those who love racking up awards for every success as well as failure, who delight in discovering the many ways to kill—or die—in an oozing, bloody chaos of body parts. It's not a game for everyone: painstakingly precise timing and the patience to restart after multiple deaths is requisite. While it's surprisingly short, Elf story overflows with engaging graphics, narration and action.

Mystery of Time and Space (MOTAS) The grandaddy of all escape-the-room games, Jan Albartus' Mystery of Time and Space dates way back to 2001 which, in terms of casual Web games, is almost the beginning of time. In MOTAS, you don't get to escape from just one room, oh no. There are now 20 rooms to escape from! Limber up those point-and-click fingers, you're about to embark on an epic classic.

Neighbor The doorknob is broken, so you're stuck in your apartment. Maybe, if you can get him to cooperate, your Neighbor can help? Point-and-click around the room, looking for a creative means to earn his assistance, solving puzzles and decoding codes. Red herrings might lead you astray while the comical style and Robamimi's affable charm makes you feel part of the jocosity, not only as a good neighbor, but as a welcome friend.

Loom Blend Loom Blend is another room escape game from Place of Light, who previously brought us Room Fake, Room Bath, Room Marine, and Loom Above. The game's scenario is nothing new: you are in a room filled with diabolical puzzles and more than a few secrets, and must employ all of your wits to escape. A simple premise, but one that Place of Light does very well.

The Control Panel The Control Panel is an oldie but a goodie. Despite its age the game is a tight, well-constructed puzzle solving treat. Stripped of everything that usually accompanies a puzzle of this sort, no story, no background, no instructions, be prepared to sit back and let the gameplay blow your mind (and perhaps cause a concussion, if you end up banging your head against the nearest flat surface in frustration).

Shape We dig deep for an oldie but a goodie with Kotorinosu's Shape. Shape is logical, fun, challenging escaping awesomeness that depends mostly on spatial perception and the ability to observe and deduce using various shapes found around the room. Despite the paucity of furnishings or other decor there is a lot of puzzle-solving to be had in this amusing little room escape.

Sakudatu Sakudatu is definitely an entertaining room escape. The puzzles are fun if a tad too easy and the madness going on all around merely enhances the escaping experience. If the bizarro world of Detarou is to your liking then you are in for one tasty treat.

Escape from the Room with Three Keys 7 Escape from the Room with Three Keys 7 is the usual minimal three puzzles, three keys, and out escape that we've come to expect from Hottategoya. The room is sparse and minimal, the puzzles are fun and amusing, the navigation is pretty easy as is the inventory control, and the whole thing can be fit into whatever time can be spared from a too busy schedule. It's a satisfying little room escape, something that can take your mind off of whatever is bothering you this week, and giving your brain a nice break.

Loondon All Jonah wants is to be happy. He's courageous, loyal to friends, and kind even to strangers. Unfortunately, Jonah is one of "the malformed", rejected by society because of his hunched back. You'll need your point-and-click skills to find out.

Spring Morning Tomatea is a developer that respects the time of year with their escape games, so it should be no surprise that as winter turns to spring, Spring Morning graces our computer screens. Little Hostage Little Hostage preserves the finer points of developer Zibumi's previous effort, The Final Spell, while adding complexity and cleverness. While still not excessively challenging, Little Hostage is a fun, satisfying game perfect for a coffee break or random escape-the-room craving. Those new to the genre will find it to be a relatively accessible introduction to the beautiful world of point-and-click.

Playroom 2 It's been a while since you've escaped the Playroom, and it seems the little girl who masterminded it has set up yet another difficult escape for you. In Playroom 2, the rather aptly named sequel by Kayzerfish, you've got a new room full of colorful toys and knickknacks to solve your way out of. At least this one has an open-air balcony and a nicer bed. If you're looking for a charming yet challenging escape that taxes your skills just enough to be entertaining, go play in Playroom 2.

Escape of Santa Claus 3 Play the role of Santa Claus, trapped in a lovely, warm A-Frame cottage trying to make your way out. It's tempting to just relax in the rocking chair, but there's escaping to be done, so try to avoid the temptation. Wander around the cozy, inviting space and investigate every nook and cranny, there's bound to be a way out. None of the puzzles are terribly tricky, but this is a fun, calm, quiet room escape perfect for the holiday season. What are you waiting for? You have presents to deliver!

A Boney Night You control a witch named Undra, who is woken up in the middle of the night by her mushroom messenger crying out an alert, and sets out to investigate. She is later joined by Kijo Itar, a runaway orc with an unpleasant past, and together they make it their mission to bring whatever ancient evil has awakened to an end. A Boney Night bills itself as a callback to the golden age of adventure gaming, when the likes of Guybrush Threepwood and Roger Wilco were stuffing their bafflingly deep pockets with inventory items and using them in all kinds of crazy ways, and with the creative yet logical puzzles, occasional spots of humor, and general retro charm, this game definitely delivers.

10 Gnomes in Porto Petro With this latest installment in the 10 Gnomes series, Mateusz Skutnik has provided an addictive and gorgeous little puzzler with the standard lovely black and white visuals set against a creepy soundtrack as you race to find all of those vacationing little gnomes before time runs out

Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc Makoto considers himself lucky to get a random inviting to the elite Hope's Peak Academy, but it quickly becomes apparent that he and the other 14 students may be anything but when they discover they're trapped inside, and the only way out... is to kill. A bizarre and creatively twisted surreal visual novel adventure that provides a lot of fun and cleverness, but trips itself up with a lot of tropes and clunky mechanics.

Find the Escape-Men 88: Ice Hockey Packed into this lovely mini-escape are some entertaining puzzles including a really tricky color-based one and not one but two endings (the bad and the good) along with some...let's say slightly inappropriate language, which one would probably expect with a hockey team.

Escape from the 13th Floor Escape from the 13th floor is a fun, involving room escape (or a building escape in this case), and is an amusing way to waste a few minutes, unless of course you suffer from triskaidekaphobia. Lots of fun to be had in a building made spookier by the soundtrack than by the actual inhabitants. The game is enjoyable, but it almost feels like you're just getting going when you find the way out.

Zee and the Alien Machine The aliens are coming! The aliens are coming!
