Magical Sphere Escape Magical Sphere Escape evokes that Myst-like sensation of not just solving puzzles, but solving history. And despite its flaws, Magical Sphere Escape is one of the best escape games I have played. There are a couple places where you'll need your Veteran Escaper Sense™ to find a clue or item, but the major puzzles are astonishingly logical. But be sure to read our review and consult our translation notes to get the most out of hidden gem.

Steampunk Odyssey Abraham Lincoln, America's 16th president, was one awesome dude. Now he needs your assistance getting out of the dark, mechanical city in this point-and-click puzzle adventure. Move ramps, spin gears and make good use of steam power to guide him through this obstacle course, which is more an amusing afternoon romp rather than the arduous decades long journey the name implies. Still, it's enjoyable to interact with the stylistically appealing, tactile artwork and who can say no to helping Abe?

Bunny's Room Escape 2 From Strawberry Café, here's a brisk escape-the-room game just for kicks! Deliza Some things in life are purely about experience, like bungee-jumping and rollercoaster rides. And there are games with no apparent meaning, that draw you in simply to enjoy something different, like Deliza. This point-and-click curiosity is essentially an advergame without the hard-sell elements, diffcult to define yet an experience in its own right.

Matiawase Short, sweet, and sentimental, Matiawase is still an entertaining little escape from the everyday. Toys Toys is a compact, high-quality escape game that, if not exactly groundbreaking, is certainly enjoyable. A prominent feature of one of the game's puzzles is the usage of stereograms, a form of optical illusion in which a three-dimensional image is hidden within a two-dimensional picture. All in all, a high-quality production.

The Price A young man strikes up a Faustian bargain to save his injured love— kill three evildoers, and she can live. Will he be able to hold onto his humanity, or will he lose himself in the process? Despite some gameplay flaws, The Price is a dark, enchanting work from Flip-N-Tale, with amazing art and a great story to go along with it.

Of course, there's also the matter of your murderous captor... where could he be? You might just find out.

Habla Kadabla Habla Kadabla is a short, sweet, Halloweeny point-and-click game by Carmel Games with a crime-solving twist. Which is why she's really upset when someone steals her enchanted cash register, along with all her money. Lucky for her, there's all sorts of stuff lying around waiting for her to pick it up and put to good use as she tries to crack the case and catch the thief.

Find Dwarfs in Summer 2011 This summer vacation themed point-and-click game by Nekonote is perfectly sized for a leisurely sojourn. With savvy item usage and a careful inspection of small spots, you'll soon find ten new tiny friends to pal around the beach, go camping, sail on tropical waters, listen to beautiful, soothing music. Bored Prince Escape In this cute, short escape game from no1game, you're a prince who's sick of having someone follow you around all the time and never getting a moment to yourself. Find a way out of your room to evade your bodyguards and enjoy some "you" time!

Find the Escape-Men Part 126: The Special Property The apartment in this escape game's rent is suspiciously low, and there's a weird smell here too... so it's probably not a good sign your realtor has locked you inside! Train In a world of repression, you managed to stand out and survive the changes. It is not a safe place, but now you stand a chance to survive. Three Nights Escape You don't know why, but you've got to escape... and you've got to do it over the course of three nights. Three Nights Escape isn't as bizarre as, say, Detarou's work, but it's not exactly normal, either, if the horse in the bathtub is any indication. It has all the typical disadvantages of a Rutenberg game (mild pixel hunts, puzzles that literally can't be solved without trial and error), but the atmosphere redeems it very well, and the puzzles DO make sense if you look at them just right. Overall, it's definitely worth taking a night or three off to play.

Absence Absence is creepy, but not scary. Nothing is going to jump out at you, there's nothing in the rooms apart from lots of trash. Fire it up while taking a few minutes away from other tasks, and just enjoy the spooky atmosphere without worrying you'll have a heart attack. After all, Halloween is just around the coroner.

Escape from Mystery Science Room Getting into a science laboratory is much easier than it looks; just ask Dee Dee. Getting out of one, however, is another story. espcgm's clever little escaper drops you into what appears to be a chemistry lab, and tasks you with puzzling your way out. Don't let the MS Paint graphics throw you off; Escape from Mystery Science Room is not a bad game. The meat of an escaper is its gameplay, and this is a game that has it; the puzzles are logical and flow well, and although there's no changing cursor, the lack of pixel-hunting means you don't really need it. Overall, EfMSR is a game that's just difficult enough, and well worth the trip.

Modern Mystery Modern Mystery is the escape title of the week this time around. The game, naturally, begins with you trapped in a rather comfy lounge-like room. It's nicely furnished—a bit of abstract art on the walls, a potted plant, two leather chairs, a laptop computer—but you still want out by any means. Go around collecting objects, putting clues together, and solving puzzles in order to collect more objects, hopefully at some point getting one or both of those doors open and terminating your confinement.

The Unforgiven Room The opening scenario of Unforgiven Room is a nod to Takagi-san's original escape-the-room games, Crimson Room and Viridian Room, in which you wake up with a headache and can't remember a thing, nor even where you are. Such is the begining of a classic escape-the-room adventure.

Park Escape Enter the eerie world of a playground at night and try to escape before becoming totally creeped out in this fun new escape from Dassyutu. The puzzles are a fun mix, mostly use of found objects and observational skills involving colors and shapes. There is almost no dialogue, but what's there is in English.

Puzzle Monsters It's a good-natured game of turf wars as you clear the board of all but the last monster standing. Simply roll an adjacent monster into another monster to push him off, continuing the process until all but one remains. Over time, the set-ups are more complicated requiring strategy and planning to complete.

Hormiga Escape There's not a lot of game here, but what there is is casual gameplay done right. Simple, elegant, easy on the eyes, and over quickly, Hormiga Escape is the perfect little point-and-click gem to go with your early morning coffee, a quick five-minute workout for your brain to kick start the day. Help a little ant get home before disaster strikes!

Purism A previous project from FonGeBooN, Purism follows the same formula we're used to: you're stuck in a room, and you have to solve all manner of puzzles to get out of it. Some noticeable features of this particular room include some unusual panels in the walls, a door with no handle, a small chest of drawers, some metallic shelves, and a sculpture with many red, blue, and yellow balls. All of these will be instrumental in your ultimate departure.

Fancy Maze (Case 01) Fancy Maze is a classic room escape and a fun little time waster in which there are a lot of fun things to discover and puzzles to solve. Wander around, pick things up, see if you are up on the latest (and not so latest) technology, and see if you can find the two different endings in this amusing game.

Onamis 7 Clean design, live electrical wires, heavy machinery, and no way out... what more could an escaper want? Onamis warns you to bring your own pen and paper for this atmospheric point-and-click puzzle game, and you'll definitely need it if you plan to decipher all the clues needed to climb your way out.

Rich Rich Lip Bianco-Bianco is back with a simple, two-end scenario room escape that plays on the love of freedom and the open road with some pretty sweet custom bikes and a throbbing soundtrack that makes you want to fly down a deserted highway with the wind in your hair.
