Over the years, Cogito Ergo Sum's Wan and Nyan have charmed their way into our hearts. So here's an escape-the-room game from an earlier time in the Wan and Nyan chronicles, where we can see Nyan was even then getting herself locked out and Wan to scurrying about the house, solving codes and learning special abilities. It's short but there's a plethora of puzzles to tickle your brain without frustrating you. The two endings and endless good humor will leaving you feeling warm and cheerful all over.

Cogito Ergo Sum's hapless dog and cat, Wan and Nyan, are back with another escape adventure, perhaps the easiest yet most charming of all. Poor Nyan is locked out on the balcony and needs to be rescued, and there's more than one way to do it meaning multiple endings: easy, normal and happy. Here is a feel good game, like a daily affirmation on life—the simplest things can bring the most joy!

Just because you have a smartphone doesn't mean you can't make dumb decisions. Nyan the cat forgets how sinister the porch is in its efforts to trap him (for the THIRD time), and gets locked out one day while playing with his new phone. It's up to you to reunite Nyan and his canine companion Wan in this absolutely adorable and charming escape game with two chapters and three different endings from Cogito Ergo Sum.

Escape Castle consistently defines fun. Although some puzzles may leave you feeling you've been there, done that, Escape Castle's final "puzzle" is a welcome twist on the genre, elevating it to a new level while harkening back to an age-old gaming tradition of the final boss battle.

In this conclusion to the Stamp Rally Escape trilogy, the puzzles flow nicely from one to the next and the animals' special talents for jumping and punching are on display front and center several times around the room. All in all a nice, satisfying conclusion to the series, leaving the room escaper happy and content, at least until Cogito Ergo Sum's next epic trilogy.

A nice mix of logic, use of found objects, and strangeness make Stamp Rally Escape 2 a worthy sequel to the first Stamp Rally Escape. Judging by the increasing difficulty of the puzzles the unseen RIDLRIDL (or Cogito Ergo Sum) are working towards something that will challenge Wan and Nyan to their very limits, will drive them further and further into the unknown of puzzle solving, will tax every cell in their bodies as they strive for the elusive prize at the end

Wan and Nyan, the jumping dog and punching cat, are back for this epic journey to collect stamps in Stamp Rally Escape 1 from Cogito Ergo Sum. The animal heroes receive a piece of mail from a mysterious organization that has created several room escapes just for them to get out of, and at the end are the promised presents. And though at the end all you get is a special gold stamp (you will need three to get the promised cool present), you also have the promise of more to come. So join Wan and Nyan on their quest for consumer goods of an undetermined variety.

Hot Escape is definitely on the light side of the escape genre. Okay, so it's not the Einstein of room escapes. What it lacks in depth of puzzles it makes up for in sheer charm. The cutesy pastel cartoon backgrounds, the lovable pets, the amusing "Engrish" translation, all of it fuses together with some decent logic and puzzle solving to create a delightful little confection, perfect escaping happiness even if it is for a very short time.

Sometimes, when you're having a bad case of the mid-week blahs, whimsy is a good thing. Exit Not Found is not a very tough room escape title, but something fun and involving that will bring a smile to your face as you search for that elusive exit. It's an amusing way to kill 5 or 10 minutes, something to take your mind off of schoolwork, lousy weather, or whatever mind-numbing task is occupying you this week.

Despite all the silliness, there's lots of real escaping fun to be had in A Code Escape from Japan. A nice mix of puzzle solving and use of found objects; with the need for the animals' own special abilities thrown in for good measure makes for wonderful gaming experience. There are even two endings to be found in this little gem. Marvel at the leaping dog and the punching cat, just remember to use them well while you are playing nurse.
