This week's games are all halloweenish but the games are not scary at all, the theme is all in the decorations and colours. The first escape by Nicolet take you to the small village and to leave it, you need to gather sweets and candies. Then comes the most atmospheric escape by Room's Room (Daichi Simada) that wants you to find your way out of a hotel, and the next three by GBFinger Studio (Chendgu GBFun Technology Inc.), TRISTORE (Tomoya Tsuruta) and Stella Cat want you to escape a castle (or something what looks like one). Wishing you happy Halloween playing!

The end of Flash support was sad for everyone; for me one of the biggest losses is the inaccessibility of Gatamari's games which I love. But all isn't lost, a new Gatamari is here and it's a good one!

Developing games has become more accessible. Many engines, templates, libraries, and frameworks designed specifically for games have appeared. But at the same time, there are new difficulties - now you have to understand everything. Just take it and make it.

Hi! Weekday Escape just arrived!

TomoLaSiDo has been diligent the past two weeks and added two cans to their vending machine in addition to the usual escape. From Poisen we got a beautiful point'n'click game that should be much longer and from No data a solid escape - don't forget to enlarge the game screen, playing is much more comfortable. Esklavos is back with a new escape - it's a one-screen game only, but there is much to do!

There will be no Weekday Puzzle this week because there are not enough games available.

FM Studios is back with the third chapter of spin-off series from Forgotten Hill...at a different time in a different place, the wardrobe showed up again. In a house inherited from a distant relative, there was a special key in the safe deposit box that didn't fit any of the locks in the house. As an avid gamer, I tend to take for granted having a smooth connection without any lag. When a problem actually does arise, I turn into a demon baby simply because I have become so comfortable with having an effortlessly strong Wi-Fi. So imagine my shock when I had to move my gaming setup in order to do a house remodel, and the Wi-Fi is spotty at best.

Robert Alvarez is back with his newest puzzler, clever as always. Then we've got a hilarious variation on a classic Snake by Eray Zesen, and the last is Louigi Verone's banana problem. You have a billion bananas and you need to get rid of them.

In their latest escape Amajeto went back to their old concept of one-scene games but with better graphics and puzzles. With Cabeza/Primera you return to Okinawa and try to escape a hotel again - another one, of course. From Isotronic we got solid standard escape.

Jani Nykänen turned the scheme of most platformers upside down - you aren't avoiding obstacles, you are looking forward to them. The last is Sokoban-like puzzler by shartok and it's a nice one!
