Tarutaru's Room Just because it's simple doesn't make Tarutaru's Room any less an enjoyable game to play. The cut scenes definitely slow down gameplay, but really add to the delightful experience. So brace yourself for an overload of cute and enjoy the fun of helping a little Tartar elf escape from Tarutaru's Room!

Crypt Keeper In Crypt Keeper, you find yourself plunked down in the middle of a truly spooktastic graveyard. How and why did you get there? Not important. It's the middle of the night, and there are creepy noises and big ominous tombstones and omigosh you need to get out right now!

Escape from the Similar Rooms 3 The same ol' same ol' is exactly what you want when you're in the mood for light, casual puzzles in a minimalist setting. Hottategoya follows up the similar rooms series by stepping up the navigational obstacles which test your powers of observation. Solve three codes, open three doors and, quicker than you can say dèjá vu, you'll have that same great feeling that comes from a successful escape.

Magical Sphere Escape Magical Sphere Escape evokes that Myst-like sensation of not just solving puzzles, but solving history. And despite its flaws, Magical Sphere Escape is one of the best escape games I have played. There are a couple places where you'll need your Veteran Escaper Sense™ to find a clue or item, but the major puzzles are astonishingly logical. But be sure to read our review and consult our translation notes to get the most out of hidden gem.

Bunny's Room Escape 2 From Strawberry Café, here's a brisk escape-the-room game just for kicks! Bunny is chillin' with his shades on and there is some funky tropical Christmasy New Year's partyesque thing going on here. So hack into the computer, pick up some clues and solve the requisite puzzles so you can get out of this place.

Escape From the Living Room Escape From the Living Room is a solid, entertaining room escape game. Simply point and click your way through an uncluttered yet beautifully rendered living room, packed with challenges. Or you could just kick back on that inviting couch, relax, and watch some DVDs.

Aries Escape: Episode No.006 Happy birthday to you, haaa-ppy birthday tooo you! Well, it's somebody's birthday here in LiberTechno's festively decorated escape-the-room game, and this somebody thinks it's great fun to rig up the room with an abundance of challenging puzzles. This equals a hefty amount of content while the large banquet table in the center of the room will also challenge your navigational skills, which is especially happy for anyone who'd much rather sleuth his or her way through clues than fill up on frosting-laden cake.

Monitor Post What would you do if you were stuck in a locked room with a post filled with monitors? Find keys and solve puzzles to unlock the door, of course! Silly question, sure, but this is just the situation in store for you in Monitor Post, a short and sharp-looking escape game from Ninja Motion. With just enough keys and puzzles to keep you busy for a distraction break, the game will please all but the most hardcore of escapers out there who require a bit more challenge than this has to offer.

Rougoku Rougoku falls into the category of more "realistic" escape games, those that concentrate in large part upon collecting and using items in practical ways (with, of course, a few genuine puzzles thrown in). It is a solid room escape game from a solid developer, familiar and proven with games like this.

Find the Escape Men 50: In the Ninja House (Volume 2) So you want to be a ninja? You've gotten the cool clothes, the headbands, the shuriken, the blow-darts, the green escape men ...what? Toys Toys is a compact, high-quality escape game that, if not exactly groundbreaking, is certainly enjoyable. A prominent feature of one of the game's puzzles is the usage of stereograms, a form of optical illusion in which a three-dimensional image is hidden within a two-dimensional picture. All in all, a high-quality production.

Toybox You wake, cold and alone, in a room lit only by a single, faint candle... that gleams off of the links of the chain connecting your leg to the wall. Uh-oh. From there, believe it or not, things only get worse. You are trapped in a house of horrors, and must solve puzzles and face supernatural terror in order to regain your freedom. Of course, there's also the matter of your murderous captor... where could he be? You might just find out.

Cosmo A lovely escape game that does nearly everything right; the graphics are good, the puzzles varied and inventive, the interface clean and user-friendly. Completing Cosmo does take just a smidgen of comprehension of mathematics and astronomy, but it is easily one of the better room escapes to come along recently.

Bored Prince Escape In this cute, short escape game from no1game, you're a prince who's sick of having someone follow you around all the time and never getting a moment to yourself. Find a way out of your room to evade your bodyguards and enjoy some "you" time!

Find the Escape-Men Part 126: The Special Property The apartment in this escape game's rent is suspiciously low, and there's a weird smell here too... so it's probably not a good sign your realtor has locked you inside! Experience a whole lot of weirdness (and a jump scare or two) in this very silly game from no1game.

Three Nights Escape You don't know why, but you've got to escape... and you've got to do it over the course of three nights. Three Nights Escape isn't as bizarre as, say, Detarou's work, but it's not exactly normal, either, if the horse in the bathtub is any indication. It has all the typical disadvantages of a Rutenberg game (mild pixel hunts, puzzles that literally can't be solved without trial and error), but the atmosphere redeems it very well, and the puzzles DO make sense if you look at them just right. Overall, it's definitely worth taking a night or three off to play.

My First Recital no1game's little girl is back, and this time her mother thinks she's ready to get set for her very first hula recital all by herself... with a little help from you, of course, as you hunt down all the items she needs in this cute, kid-friendly escape game.

Heavy Room In order to escape, you'll need to find your way through four rooms, observing signs and clues, solving puzzles and deciphering codes. Despite the title, though, this is not a heavy undertaking. Simple, quick and perfectly logical, Heavy Room by Triple Rock is just the right balance of ease and fun for a mini game escape anytime you need one.

Absence Absence is creepy, but not scary. Nothing is going to jump out at you, there's nothing in the rooms apart from lots of trash. Fire it up while taking a few minutes away from other tasks, and just enjoy the spooky atmosphere without worrying you'll have a heart attack. After all, Halloween is just around the coroner.

Escape from Mystery Science Room Getting into a science laboratory is much easier than it looks; just ask Dee Dee. Getting out of one, however, is another story. espcgm's clever little escaper drops you into what appears to be a chemistry lab, and tasks you with puzzling your way out. Don't let the MS Paint graphics throw you off; Escape from Mystery Science Room is not a bad game. The meat of an escaper is its gameplay, and this is a game that has it; the puzzles are logical and flow well, and although there's no changing cursor, the lack of pixel-hunting means you don't really need it. Overall, EfMSR is a game that's just difficult enough, and well worth the trip.

Apartment House Escape Whether your are attempting to break in due to having lost your keys or due to having lost your job and are in need of some disposable income, Apartment House Escape is an amusing "reverse" escape, where you are trying to break in rather than out.

The Latest Work of Dai Hyakka The Latest Work of Dai Hyakka is not a terribly difficult escape; seasoned players will probably be out in five to ten minutes. Considering all of the puzzles (many color-based) that have to be solved to view this precious piece of art, it had better be worth it.

Endless Anesthesia Ah, with Halloween fast approaching it's time to turn to escape games with a more atmospheric nature. How about a game set in an eerily empty hospital? Endless Anesthesia is fun, atmospheric casual gameplay. Arm yourself, take a deep breath, and get ready to escape!

Brain Cell Brain Cell is the brain child of Ryan Gibson for the U.K.-based development team DESQ, an organization devoted to the development of Web-based and digital learning projects. In a recent attempt to contribute to casual gaming, DESQ released Brain Cell in the hopes of enhancing your typical room escape game and taking it to the next level. Arendel Most of us know not to explore shady abandoned asylums. Well... everyone except you, apparently. Trapped inside the Arendel Asylum, you'll need to search for items, solve puzzles, and gather orbs to escape in this ambitious but rough-around-the-edges game from Selfdefiant.

Escape from the Room 202 A classic one-room escape game with puzzles that are nicely varied with a lot of combination type and those that use found objects. Let's welcome Tsukisuna-sou to the ranks of promising game designers and have fun playing this wonderful new effort.

Waiting Room Don't let the game's charming trappings deceive you, Waiting Room has real substance and some formidable puzzles. Modern Mystery Modern Mystery is the escape title of the week this time around. The game, naturally, begins with you trapped in a rather comfy lounge-like room. It's nicely furnished—a bit of abstract art on the walls, a potted plant, two leather chairs, a laptop computer—but you still want out by any means. Go around collecting objects, putting clues together, and solving puzzles in order to collect more objects, hopefully at some point getting one or both of those doors open and terminating your confinement.

The Unforgiven Room The opening scenario of Unforgiven Room is a nod to Takagi-san's original escape-the-room games, Crimson Room and Viridian Room, in which you wake up with a headache and can't remember a thing, nor even where you are. Such is the begining of a classic escape-the-room adventure.

Park Escape Enter the eerie world of a playground at night and try to escape before becoming totally creeped out in this fun new escape from Dassyutu. The puzzles are a fun mix, mostly use of found objects and observational skills involving colors and shapes. There is almost no dialogue, but what's there is in English.

Purism A previous project from FonGeBooN, Purism follows the same formula we're used to: you're stuck in a room, and you have to solve all manner of puzzles to get out of it. Some noticeable features of this particular room include some unusual panels in the walls, a door with no handle, a small chest of drawers, some metallic shelves, and a sculpture with many red, blue, and yellow balls. All of these will be instrumental in your ultimate departure.

Fancy Maze (Case 01) Fancy Maze is a classic room escape and a fun little time waster in which there are a lot of fun things to discover and puzzles to solve. Wander around, pick things up, see if you are up on the latest (and not so latest) technology, and see if you can find the two different endings in this amusing game.

Rich Rich Lip Bianco-Bianco is back with a simple, two-end scenario room escape that plays on the love of freedom and the open road with some pretty sweet custom bikes and a throbbing soundtrack that makes you want to fly down a deserted highway with the wind in your hair.

Magical Sphere 2 Bianco-Bianco delivers a short but happily weird escape game with two endings. Trapped in a room with some strange artifacts and mysterious boxes, will you be able to find a way out?

Abandoned: The Cube Chambers Popular point-and-click game Abandoned gets a puzzling spin-off in this atmospheric escape game that sees you lost in maze-like rooms. Though beautifully designed from an aesthetic point of view, its puzzles might be too vague and unintuitive for many.

Take Action to Escape Take Action to Escape is a mobile escape game from Mobest Media that wants to remind you you'll never escape unless you, you know, actually do something! Similar to escape games like DOOORS and 100 Rooms, you're presented with a series of single-screen levels littered with a few objects and a door that's locked tight. By tilting, tipping, shaking, sliding and staring at your device, it's your job to uncover the key so you can head to the next level!

100 Escapers From the creator of 100 Doors 2013, Gipnetix Games, comes 100 Escapers, a game that strides a little closer to traditional room escape territory than the usual lot of mobile escape games. You're still trapped in rooms, of course, but instead of having a single screen to bust out of, you've got a little big of wiggle room to walk around, open drawers, examine things, and fashion a way to get that door open so you can continue forwards.

Mystery House: Escape from Beginning Room Mystery House: Escape from Beginning Room is an unusual room escape game, but not a long one. Introduced in this game is the concept of "inspirations", which are actually little ghosts in the room you must collect to reveal clues that help you escape.

100 Doors: Aliens Space 100 Doors: Aliens Space is a mobile room escape game from Gipnetix Games, creator of 100 Doors 2013, 100 Doors of Revenge, and several other similar games. Instead of rooms with tables and chairs, this time you're thrown into outer space to contend with multi-stage doors, alien technology, glowing portals and mysterious artefact pieces. It's one of the more unique takes on the escape genre, and it's all the more entertaining because of it!

Stalker Room Escape You are wanted, you are obsessed over. Thus you are trapped in a room on the threat of death should you leave. Makes you feel kind of, um, icky all over, right? In this series of escape-the-room games for your mobile device, you must use lateral thinking, deduction and some general savviness to outwit your capture and find freedom.

The Stormglass Protocol: Room Escape! The Stormglass Protocol: Room Escape! is a first person room escape game created by the Stormglass team. It pulls the genre out of its stationary roots and offers a full 3D experience that lets you walk around and investigate each chamber as you please. The puzzles will be familiar, but the interface adds a nice level of realism to the normally static experience.

100 Dreams The newest "100" room escape game (well, I say newest; another 30 have probably just popped up in the time its taken to write this) is 100 Dreams by Daisuke Suzuki, the maker of the excellent Kagi Nochi Tobira. The format should be secondhand by now: Each stage presents you with the simple task of opening a door under increasingly complex and puzzling circumstances.

Escape: The Ruby of Judgment Hide and seek can be a very serious past time, but it loses som`e of its appeal when bad things start to happen as a result of an innocent game. Escape: The Ruby of Judgment is a point and click escape game from the talented folks at IDAC, the mobile division of Gotmail. Featuring lovely stylized visuals and an impressive battery of puzzles, this somber but entertaining release proves you don't need a mouse to craft a good escape game!

Toya Room 2 The player starts in the present day, but with a push of a button can be transported into the same room some indeterminable span of time into the past; press another button and the operation is reversed. Two separate, subtly different rooms to zoom between, each one affecting the other... interesting, no?

Escape Day Escape Day is absolutely adorable. You star as some kind of... cat/fox/puppy guy who has, as the game's intro nicely explains, been lured into, then trapped inside, a kitchen! A really cute kitchen, but still. If you're willing and able to be patient, you'll be rewarded with a very well-crafted, smart, entertaining escape game.

Beetle Room Escape Although it's a rather drab looking room, the puzzle contained within it is pretty sweet and it shouldn't take you more than 10 or 15 minutes. The room descriptions are all in Japanese, but thankfully you won't need them. Just be sure to click all sides of every object and you'll be out in no time.

Cow Room Escape Cow Room Escape is a significantly more difficult room escape game than its hard-shelled brother. For this game's ultimate combo-lock puzzle, you're looking for several different colored coins and you will really have to use your wits if you are to find them all.
