Using your, uh, medical knowhow, you'll patch up patient after patient with the greatest of ease!

Farm Heroes SagaThe makers of Candy Crush Saga serve up another dangerously addictive free match-3 arcade game for iOS and Android with a farming theme and power-ups galore. Though gorgeous, charming, and casually fun, the same old microtransaction and timer problems will hobble the experience for some.

Star Wars: Tiny Death StarStar Wars: Tiny Death Star is what happens when LucasArts and NimbleBit conspire to steal all of your time. A casual simulation game at its core, Tiny Death Star is essentially a Star Wars-themed Tiny Tower with a handful of new features and some tweaks to the basic gameplay. Despite having an overzealous in-app purchasing system (don't panic when you see the prices in there), it still manages to hold onto that "just one more minute" style of gameplay that will occupy your brain even when you're not playing the game.

IQ MissionThe best mobile games are the ones that make us feel smart, are easy to play in short bursts of time, and look better than a Renaissance painting. IQ Mission from Yummy Factory is one such game, taking the very recognizable set-up of a brain training game and turning it into a spy-based series of missions around the world. On a quest for pieces of a map, you'll travel from Rapa Nui to London to Monte Carlo, solving a series of themed logic games with difficulty levels ranging from "no duh" to "...HELP!!!".

PetalsThe simple things in life are often the best, and Green-Eyed Games has managed to turn a simple sliding-block puzzle into a game about flowers, just by arranging blocks the right way. The rules of Petals are as simple as the idea behind it: click to combine like-colored tiles in a grid, but avoid combining tiles of different colors. That's all there is to it, and it's a great way to spend a few minutes stretching your mind. You don't even have to water it.

Red HerringSixteen clues need to be sorted into four groups. No, it's not Only Connect... but it's close! This time around, though, the Myst-like experience is more streamlined, with puzzles that don't go out of their way to twist your gray matter into knots.

You're not just escaping, you're making an epic dash to freedom through a rendered fantasy world!

Pakkuman's DefenseYou've got a few minutes before you have to be at work. That means it's time for a game! But what to play, Pac-Man or a tower defense game? How about both? Unlock strange bonus rounds full of surreal imagery for a simple, frantic, and fun experience that will raise an eyebrow but inject a little surreality into your day.

CavesweeperIt advertises itself as a mix between Minesweeper and a roguelike dungeon crawler, but Quikding's Cavesweeper isn't quite either... it's something all its own. AdriftAdrift is a stylish logic puzzle game from Tack Mobile. It follows the gameplay outline of classic browser games such as Hyper Frame and 3D Logic II, eliminating the rotating cube in favor of a fixed isometric viewpoint, simple touch controls, and a sweet-as-candy visual presentation. Don't think that just because you only have three sides of a cube to worry about that things are going to be any easier to solve, however!

Shadow Snake 3And if 2013 is the Year of the Snake, well, then there's absolutely no reason why it can't be the year of the Shadow Snake 3, the new arcade game from Play Panic, also as a free download for iOS and Android. Stack OverloadStack Overload is a mobile puzzle game from Bonus Level that feels like a cross between WarGames: WOPR and a memory game. It's your job to crash a series of increasingly complex programs by causing memory overloads one block at a time. This isn't as complicated as it sounds, as all you have to do is match pairs of tiles by turning them over one at a time. Overload the stack and you'll move on to the next level!

Impulse (EdGE)Watch, learn, adapt... oh, and don't get blown up. Impulse is part physics puzzle, part arcade game, with obstacles modeled after Newton's Laws of Motion. Get the green ball to the portal by generating a pulse that moves anything around it... sounds simple, right? But when propulsion, gravity, positive and negative charges and more come into play, you'll find it's anything but.

Cell KingdomManipulate cells and bacteria to your liking in this shiny match-3 game. As you play scientist, get three of the same cells adjacent to each other to form a higher grade cell. Trap pesky bacteria to stop their roaming, and complete level goals to move on. Don't forget to try the shop if you get stuck!

Candy Crush SagaSometimes you want emotional depth and gameplay complexity, and sometimes you just want to be dazzled by high scores and flashy effects as you swap and match candies across a bizarre landscape while it's all being narrated by the world's most unsettling announcer. And if that's the itch you've got, Candy Crush Saga, it turns out, will oblige.

Notebook Wars SagaIt's the famed shooter series that transforms "shock and awe!" into "shock and draw!" Francisco Ferreres' Notebook Wars returns with the first Unity installment of the series: Notebook Wars Saga. The transition to a new engine means losing a lot of the features fans of the series have grown used to, but those looking for a stripped-down throwback or fun on a mobile screen should enjoy this new iteration of shooty fun.

Family Guy: The Quest for StuffPeter's town is destroyed, and it's totally not his fault! Blame the giant chicken. But whatever the reason, it's up to you to rebuild it, unlocking tons of characters, items, and hilarious animations along the way. Just keep one hand on your wallet, because this game has its eye on it.

Doodle God BlitzJoyBits' newest incarnation of their mobile spin on the Doodle God element-creating puzzle game series comes to your browser, with flashier visuals and quests, though some frustrating ads and a slew of (optional) in-game purchases may not win everyone over.
