Raiders Took My Dog Life is hard in a post-apocalyptic wasteland, but as long as your rustbucket of a dog is by your side you know you'll make it through anything. In Raiders Took My Dog, life is good until the unthinkable happens or well really it's pretty thinkable as it's the title of the game. Fight back and save your dog in this action packed shooter.

Time Clickers Proton Studios serves up a simple but addictive mash-up of shooter and incremental idle game, as you take up your pistol and purchase automated, upgradeable weaponry to shoot your way through stationary red cubes in levels packed with achievements, power-ups and more. Also free for iOS and Android, as well as Steam!

Cyberkat Cyberkat is a digital kitty in a high-tech world, and he's got a hankering for some seafood! Help him hunt down digital fish, crabs, scallops, and more in this side-scrolling shooter.

Glorkian Warrior: The Trials of Glork A James Kolchaka/Pixeljam joint production, Glorkian Warrior: The Trials of Glork gives you just the right mix of retro-shooter action, platform stomping, and Saturday morning cartoon. Its difficulty is definitely old-school, but it's bright, bouncy, mindless, and completely unashamed of it, making for fun sci-fi shenanigans.

Notebook Wars Saga It's the famed shooter series that transforms "shock and awe!" into "shock and draw!" Francisco Ferreres' Notebook Wars returns with the first Unity installment of the series: Notebook Wars Saga. The transition to a new engine means losing a lot of the features fans of the series have grown used to, but those looking for a stripped-down throwback or fun on a mobile screen should enjoy this new iteration of shooty fun.

Stick Squad When you're dealing with some serious villainy, you need someone strong, smart, brave, and clever... too bad all we have are these two weirdoes. Snipe and upgrade your way through over sixty missions in this polished puzzle-like physics sniping shooter!

Gemini Strike You're the only soldier brave enough to lead the fight in the battle against the robot empire in Armor Games' free-to-play bullet-heck shooter for iOS. With upgradeable ships and gorgeous visuals combined with frantic action and a sense of humour, Gemini Strike is a flashy and fun arcade hit.

Range of the Dead A slow-paced sniping game that has you dropping targets from hundreds of meters away. Be wary of wind and distance as you draw a bead on each zombie, and curve your bullet mid-flight with the WASD keys to fine-tune each shot.

Glorkian Warrior: Trials of Glork Asteroid under attack! Aliens swarming the skies! Sisters in battle suits bullying land-based bipeds! That can only mean one thing: it's glorkian time! After a few years in the cooker, Pixeljam (yep, the Dino Run team) has finally released Glorkian Warrior: Trials of Glork. The creative arcade game draws inspiration from the best shooters of the olden days, all with a fantastic soundtrack and artwork by James Kochalka. It's a big win on so many levels!

Play to Cure: Genes In Space Cancer research isn't a topic that comes up too often in the world of gaming, mostly because it's slow and tedious work. That's why Cancer Research UK teamed up with Guerilla Tea to help make it more interesting. In Play to Cure: Genes in Space, you're a star pilot and your goal is to collect as much Element Alpha as you can. It's easy to forget when plotting your course and destroying asteroids that you're also helping to save lives.

Strike Force Heroes: Extraction Strike Force Heroes: Extraction from Sky9 Games continues the arcade shooting browser games on mobile devices, introducing rooftop running as a central mechanic lined with ample amounts of gun fire and upgrading. A creative "cover" mechanic sets it apart from the rest of the endless runners in the crowd, making it both a strong contender in the mobile race and a suitable follow-up to the Strike Force series, too!

The Peacekeeper Peace! Houh! What is it good for? Well, something apparently, as the various factions of Berzerk Studio's new defense shooter, The Peacekeeper, want it, and are willing to slaughter everything in their path to get it. A visceral burst of just-mindless-enough entertainment, The Peacekeeper is a bloody and hilarious good time, if a little repetitive in the endgame

Ridiculous Fishing - A Tale of Redemption Fishing isn't exactly the wackiest sport. Tag it as Ridiculous Fishing, though, and suddenly everybody expects a certain level of, oh, ridiculousness. From Super Crate Box creator Vlambeer along with Greg Wohlwend of Mikengreg and Zach Gage of SpellTower fame, Ridiculous Fishing is a wholly upgraded version of the browser game Radical Fishing released in 2011. The premise? Fishing taken to a ridiculous level.

Dragon Flight The number of "just one more round" games on mobile devices has increased dramatically since Jetpack Joyride gained its popularity (see the browser release Chuck the Sheep for another fine example). Each one features short stages, upgradeable abilities, in-game currency that can either be collected while you play or boosted with in-app purchases, and simple gameplay that grabs you within seconds of starting. Dragon Flight is one such game, though instead of going the route of sidescrolling arcade game, developer NextFloor plops you on a dragon for a vertical shooter that even casual fans can enjoy and (eventually) master!

Forget-Me-Not In the mood for some good, old-fashioned, retro arcade fun, without the need of a roll of quarters? Brandon Williamson's Forget-Me-Not, which was originally a popular mobile game, is now ported over to your browser! It takes the classic concept of Pac-Man, and adds a shooter to it. Quickly addictive, and perfectly frustrating, Forget-Me-Not is old-school fun at its finest.

Wolfenstein 3D (HTML5) The classic first-person shooter credited with jump-starting the genre on PC gets a re-release in HTML5! As Captain B.J., blast your way through three different missions and all the original levels of over-the-top retro action. It's cheesy, it's violent, and back in its day it was more than a little controversial, but Id Software's iconic title is responsible for siring many of the games you play today and is still as fun as ever.

You play as Jack himself as he races through various landscapes, battling enemies in order to achieve the goal of getting a good night's rest. Throughout the levels you must collect "Zs", which ensure that you get a restful sleep. If your Z meter runs low, you wake up and lose the level!

Super Crate Box (iOS) Hey, Super Crate Box, the awesome arcade and shooting game released by Vlambeer way back in 2010. What are you doing on the iTunes App Store? What's that? Being as awesome as the PC/Mac downloadable version? Sounds great!
