Poco Parco is an extraordinarily quirky Japanese title from Gungho Games that works much like the Grow series of games. Yes, you may get excited now. Click the cute little icons at the bottom of the screen to start an event. The longer an item is active, the more it will evolve as the game progresses. The order in which you click determines how the game plays out. For example, some things won't be able to level up without another object present. The fun and exploration comes from trying things in a different order just to see what happens. It's entertaining even when you don't find the "right" order.
Unlike the Grow games, the items and what they do on-screen isn't immediately obvious. The far-left item causes a mole to hop out of the ground, while the next one makes a crystal grow on the side of the island. One irresistibly adorable inclusion to the game is the ability to play with the objects that appear on the screen. Try rolling the cursor over the mushrooms or clicking on the bunny rabbit. You can even play with the characters on the title screen!
A truly excellent tribute to the Grow series that manages to stand on its own with a fun presentation and a few bells and whistles.
And just because you know you want more: Grow, Grow Cube, Grow RPG, other Grow clones.

I seem to be unable to do anything with the meteor/fire thing, and the mole keeps on throwing the drystal disk into the distance for no reason...
Im too lazy to keep trying :P i like watching how the solutions of these games work out, and seeing how i went wrong the first few times... working it all out on my own takes too much time and interest :)

Hmm, I can't get it quite right, altough I once nearly finished. Thinks I know:
The cat has to come quite early, since it needs time to grow, and has things to do.
The mole has to come early too, since it also got quite some things to do.
The fire has to come last. It will be fully grown in the one last turn, if the "block" got an heart already, and the tree provides infrastructure.
I cannot grow the jellyfish beyond level 2. They sit in the pond, sometimes the become more. But thats it...
Highest I've gotten is 70% so far. I'll keep trying. :)
Also--
Click twice on the snowman to melt him after you have finished for a bonus point.

jellyfish (5th icon). I think my order was something along the lines of cat, mushroom, box/robot, mole, crystal, jellyfish, fireball. 3 6 7 1 2 5 4.
I like how almost everything reacts to mouse-over or click.
I've gotten the jellyfish to go into the sky & grow. I've also chased a lizard off the right side of the game screen border. And I've bothered a tiny fly. Still, I'm nowhere near even getting close to completion.
But it's so cuuuuuuute! :o)

Charmander wrote about "frightening the lizard in a certain way." I can't get that one to work.

So THAT's how you get the Big Kitty point. I knew I wasn't hallucinating.
To view some of these extra animations you have to ultimately "lose" the game in the long-run in order to trigger them, like the little fly buzzing around or the sky jellyfish, etc. Or how about that orange goldfish that can be seen zipping by for 2 seconds near the large gems? Never got a chance to click on or duplicate that one.
That's the beauty of Grow style games. The trick is to reward for failing (in a lesser manner) and really reward big time for winning.
The replay value in games like this is losing in various ways to find Easter eggs, especially if they're linked to boards with avid players who can reveal the winning combo in a matter of minutes.
P.S....
The person who develops a decent Grow style game that has something like 30 to 50 different clickable choices wins, simply because of the magnitude of Easter egg losing scenarios.

There are 9 extra points - once you get them all your score goes to 1000 and you get some cool special effects when you click your score:

I notice that the 2nd (blue) tab on top is selected. I was always loading on the 1st (red) tab.
I just wanted every one to know there are 10, yes, 10 extra points. The first point is hidden during the loading sequence. You have to click the little symbols where it shows the loading progress.
The actual high score you can get is 1000. I just got it. Strangely, I'm not sure exactly how I got it, other than I got 109 points and I did a lot of clicking on things looking for secret scores. And yes, I have a screen shot to prove I got 1000.
I don't think the extra point during the loading sequence is particularly fair, seeing as the loading time depends upon so many variables, making the extra point unachievable for people with an extremely fast connection.

The whole time this thing was on my screen I couldn't help thinking of those little activity centers for toddlers where they spin stuff, squeeze stuff, drop stuff into other stuff, etc. and learn how their actions affect things. I think I started to feel a little stupid. When I noticed those little mushrooms or cupcakes or whatever they are played notes, I started trying to play that annoying, looping game music. But just when I'd think I had the notes right, the music would loop, start over again and drown out what I was trying to play. I don't know how long I tried or how long I had this noisemaker on my screen but I realized I'm not stupid, I'm a masochist. Eventually I said my safe word, "Go back one page" and escaped.
How do I open this game to get it started? I clicked on the picture and on the spot where click is written in dark blue but I get sent to a site where everything is in japanese and a random advertizement is running.
