Welcome to the newest Weekday Escape!
This WE contains five games since they are all except the last one relatively short. For the start, we have two one-scene escapes by Gotmail followed by another one-scene game by Jim-Ar. Then comes Selfdefiant's garden in spring, and the last is tomoLaSiDo's traditional April Fool's Day room.
Have a good time and enjoy! Also, don't miss brilliant escape SCOPE from PC Games Tuesday N°13!
Micro Escape #23
Micro Escape #24
Gotmail's escapes are micro indeed, it's just one scene with perfect graphics and one or two puzzles only - and that's why they are posted two. The cursor isn't changing, no save option, one ending.
Miniature3
New one scene Jim-Ar's game is short and fun. The puzzles are inventive and clever as in their previous escapes (WE N°290 and WE N°288) - joy to play!
The cursor isn't changing, no save option, one ending.
Spring Garden Escape
Selfdefiant locked you in a garden in full spring - everything is blossoming and blooming and hungry groundhog wants you to get something to eat. There are several coded boxes scattered around the garden and you are supposed to figure out codes to open them. The cursor isn't changing in Selfdefiant's games anymore as players were used to which causes some pixelhunt, unfortunately.
The cursor isn't changing, no save option, one ending.
Escape Challenge 132: Room with April Fool's Day 2021
The white fluffy clouds and bright blue sky above aren't photorealistic wallpaper or painting. TomoLaSiDo's room is ceilingless. It doesn't make much difference in comparsion with their other games - you need to figure our several codes to get the key parts, as usual. When you finally get the key you realize that there is a difference...the door is stuck...so, can you escape? Really?
The cursor isn't changing, no save option, one ending.
P.S Their April Fool's Day 2020 you find in WE N°252.
I have been a fan of this website for a long time. This site has provided me with 100s of hours of fun. There has been put a lot of love into this site, the reviews are always good, and the blog-form works well. I have also supported you in the past. However, I don't see the value of this for me anymore, mainly because flash is dead, and there are not that many good free games out there anymore. I am bored with most of these Weekday Escape games - they seem old and uninteresting now. The world of Escape-games has moved away from this.
But let me give you some advice. There is a big need for a website that looks at new games for mobile phones. As an iphone/iPad user, I am stunned at how bad the app-store is at categorizing and helping me find the right games. The reviews are also usually written by 10-year olds who don't really help me decide on a game.
I think you need to move away from these old-school games that you are recommending and start opening up to for instance better quality Escape-room games for mobile phones.
looking forward to these.
Did you check any Mobile Monday? There is usually one quality escape game at least and in the last MM 275 are all three games very good escapes. Two of them by top devs who created excellent browser escapes earlier (Kotorinosu and noprops).
Yes the world is mainly mobile now, but I like the browser games too. Check out https://studio-look.itch.io/scope from this past week, it is TERRIFIC!
I, for one, really appreciate this site and what it does. Escape games may not be what they once were in terms of the number of quality games coming out, but to me they're still a great way to spend a bit of time online. I hope you all keep the site going as long as you can - I was happy to see the recent expansion of topics, but I hope escape games remain a staple of JiG!
