Notice, that this week will not be posted Weekday Puzzle. Instead, we have two perfect escapes - this one, and on Friday I'll post another one.
Clay games tend to be sweet and cute - they usually remind of of a childhood and kindergardens. You may even recall a clay smell and smeared fingers...well, not this time. The Colorbomb's game isn't childish. Something sinister is hidden underneath...
The first signs you notice in the first room already - yes there is much more to explore than the room where you find yourself at the beginning - where everything is lovely and clever and beautiful and then comes the moment when you're supposed to do a small cruelty. You may ask with a slight uneasiness - do they reall want me to do this? They do, apparently. Only after that you can get further to the house's basement.
You don't know whose house you're trapped in, but the thing you know for certain is that the owner has a creative mind and weird personality, and it's very probably better (and secure) to escape their place. The best you can do for it is to concentrate on puzzles and they are enjoyable indeed - as in their previous games, Colorbomb shows great imagination and originality in creating perfect puzzles which make you think about them but aren't impossible, and some puzzles you may not seen before and that means a lot.
The art is awesome. Handcrafted Colorbomb's clay world is just beautiful and an effort put into the game mindblowing. It has a professional quality. The only minus is the lenght - wish it was much longer!
Here you find previous Colorbomb's games: brilliant escape SCOPE, two excellent escapes in WE N°295 and one older in WE N°300.
Great escape game and perfect for Halloween. I got tripped up on one spot:
When it says "use keyboard" they do not mean the clay keyboard in the room.
This was soooooooo much better than Scope! Colorbomb must have learned a thing or two about Unity since that one, because this one ran like a dream—hotspots were well-defined, there was no lag when turning or moving. And the visuals were downright gorgeous.
Could have used a sound or other acknowledgement when you have entered the correct solution for a puzzle. Took me a minute to catch that, but it didn't detract from the game. All-in-all, a fantastic game—hope to see more like this one!
Incidentally, was relieved to see that
our little yellow clay man survived the blender. I left him comfortable in his little chair—did you? 😁
