Star Wars: Tiny Death Star is what happens when LucasArts and NimbleBit conspire to steal all of your time. A casual simulation game at its core, Tiny Death Star is essentially a Star Wars-themed Tiny Tower with a handful of new features and some tweaks to the basic gameplay. Despite having an overzealous in-app purchasing system (don't panic when you see the prices in there), it still manages to hold onto that "just one more minute" style of gameplay that will occupy your brain even when you're not playing the game.
You knew it'd happen, and almost by surprise it appeared! Rovio's Angry Birds Star Wars II has been unleashed, packing in over 30 playable characters from the Star Wars universe along with a somewhat unconventional tie-in with real-world toys. At its core, this new Angry Birds game is still Angry Birds, which means you know it'll look good, play well, and offer a lot of entertainment for a relatively small price tag.
So, Star Wars. From what we can tell it's some movie about a guy named Jar Jar who has a speech impediment but somehow joins "the force" and saves a clown from living on the dark side of that metal space moon thing. We're a little sketchy on the details, but what we're not sketchy on is Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and how unbelievably amazing that game was ten years ago and how it's still epic today. Originally released back in 2003, KotOR defined the western RPG and managed to secure a spot as one of the most epic modern role playing games ever released. And now it's out for iPad 2 and newer devices!
Angry Birds Star Wars is exactly what the name suggests: Angry Birds with licensed Star Wars characters! Developer Rovio has dabbled in different genres in recent months with the building game Amazing Alex and the contraption-centric Bad Piggies, but now the team has returned to old form, pasting together two franchises whose success could never be doubted. Star Wars fans will squeal with delight the moment the title screen starts to materialize, and if by some twist of fate you're not a Star Wars fan, well, it's still Angry Birds, and it's still a whole lot of good-looking physics destruction entertainment!
Choose between playing as Anakin Skywalker for the Republic, or as the Jedi assassin, Asajj Ventress, in this Star Wars action adventure game built in Unity 3D. Forget what you think you know about browser-based games and give LEGO Star Wars: The Quest for R2D2 a try. It won't be long before you get sucked into a time long ago in a galaxy far, far away, where plastic bricks vied for control of the universe.
