Bloons Tower Defense 4
There's something in human nature that makes it inherently intriguing to watch natural enemies go at each other. Cats vs. dogs, lions vs. hyenas, Hatfields vs. McCoys, monkeys vs. balloons— what, you didn't know monkeys and balloons were natural enemies? In their natural environment, wild balloons are silent, deadly killers. What does all of this mean? Well, only that NinjaKiwi's Bloons Tower Defense 4 is here at last, stepping over Bloons Tower Defense 3 and adding much more of everything we love!
For those four or five readers who have never heard of bloons, here's a crash course. There is a path. The path can be long and meandering, or short and nearly straight, or a series of paths. Suddenly, from one end of the path will come balloons, those deceptively cute menaces. If the balloons make it to the end of the path, lives are lost. What's a casual gamer to do? Why, put towers along the path to combat the balloons. And by towers we mean, of course, monkeys. Well, mostly monkeys. Each balloon you pop brings in money which can be spent on different towers or upgrading the towers to make them more deadly to the evil balloons.
Each tower has its own strengths and weaknesses. Begin with the simplest form: a dart monkey. The dart monkey can shoot darts at the oncoming balloons, but only pop one at a time. However, the humble dart monkey can be upgraded to pop more balloons, to move faster, cover more area, etc. A handy feature, as the balloons coming down the pike increase in speed and complexity (zebra, camouflage, and porcelain balloons, anyone?).
Returning are familiar defenses such as the dart monkey, the tack tower, boomerang monkey, super monkey and plenty more, each with its own battery of improvements. The best new features are the water and air defenses. Place a monkey ace and watch it circle the battlefield in a figure eight pattern, continually shooting and dropping pineapple bombs. There's also a monkey buccaneer ship which can be placed in water to defend nearby areas of the path. You can even drop a banana plantation to generate extra money and, presumably, food for the troops!
Analysis: NinjaKiwi has pulled out a few stops with this sequel. Graphics have improved tremendously, especially with the new monkey ace and monkey buccaneer towers. The new upgrades are fabulous, especially the fifth level upgrades. A wonderful addition is the use of military stripes to indicate how much a tower has been upgraded, eliminating the need to click on every tower to see what level it is at. Old favorites are still along for the ride, such as the super monkey's plasma vision and the ever popular flying monkey blitz attack. A lot of effort has gone into making this a fun, fantastic experience.
Taking a page from Plants vs. Zombies, NinjaKiwi has changed the dynamics of the game for the fourth installment. Towers and other defenses unlock one at a time rather than all at once. Each tower itself has four upgrade capabilities, and a super-secret, roly-poly, cutesy cuddly fifth upgrade that will only be unlocked when you achieve a certain rank in the game. And the way to achieve rank is, of course, by wiping out as many balloons as possible. Somewhere around rank 16, upper-level upgrades become really interesting, and once you achieve rank 31, "Apopalypse" mode becomes available, where bloons come at you non-stop until you run out of lives.
NinjaKiwi has gone further and added even more upgrades that can be purchased with mochi coins, such as upgrades that bring in more money, turn your buccaneer into a dreadnaught, turn your boomerang monkey into a two-handed thrower, etc. These upgrades are fun cheats, but are not necessary to play the game. An additional seven paths are also available for purchase as well. Bloons veterans who don't want to work their way up the ranks can also purchase rank 31 immediately. According to NinjaKiwi, a new feature will be coming soon (hopefully by mid-November) which allows you to create your own paths! Challenge your friends! Or just go bananas.
Some might complain about the mochi coins, but BTD4 can generate reams of casual gameplay (and time suckage) without the player ever having to go near the purchasable content. So kick back, peel a banana, and begin the balloon popping fun!

OMG OMG OH. MY. GOD.
I've heard of ads with bloons TD4, and now it's finally here!!!
The graphics are different but sweet, and there are so many more maps and towers! OMG!
brb lol...
Is it possible to rotate the monkey ace? I'd like it to fly a horizontal figure-8...
btw sorry for double posting, but for the "fast forward button", mine doesn't seem to do much, nothing more than moving a 0.1 second faster...an even faster button maybe?
Nickyh -
As I understand it, the "fast forward" button works best with newer, faster computers.
Hi there, thanks JIG for the comprehensive review :). I thought I'd leap in and comment about the Fast Forward, which we thought would be handy for those slower periods in the earlier levels. Unfortunately this is only really available on faster computers, we're trying to think of a clever solution though!
Aw man. I really wish you hadn't posted this tonight. There went the past 3 hours.
I don't understand the second (loopy) intermediate level--it is too hard to follow the path they are taking.
Anyhow, props to you NinjaKiwi-this game is a blast (though maybe it is because I never played the other BTD games).
One tip for the first intermediate level:
Use two spike ball monkeys at the base of the straight area, with their aiming set on "first"
Their spike balls will travel down the line and decrease each of the balloons by one level... this helps a lot!
Great fun, as expected! I was a bit concerned that the extra towers might be a bit too much, but in fact they complement the existing ones quite well.
The easy track on intermediate difficulty was possibly a little too easy - I didn't lose any lives and only had to resort to road spikes on a couple of occasions. But I guess it's a good introduction if you're not familiar with the game.
Im having quite an annoying problem, this keeps crashing my browser. I have a high end machine and all the latest plugin versions. Any ideas?
Which browser? Have you tried a different one (Chrome, IE, Firefox...)?
Im using firefox, but for some reason after trying the game many times it has fixed itsself :)
I can't even get this to load on Firefox or IE. First few times it would come up with the ad and the loading bar to about 80-90% then hang, then it finally went to 100% and just a white screen. Every load now gives a white screen, I'm wondering if the site is overloaded.
I generally like the BTD games, but all the 'mochi' stuff is a real letdown. It seems like at every point they're trying to upsell me. Not only that, but the little indicator in the upper-lefthand corner of the screen telling me how many mochi-points I have (0) gets in the way of the gameplay -- can't seem to place a tower there unless I'm in the middle of a round.
@vaccine
I would say they're being hammered at the moment so try again a bit later. I was having the same issue, though after a few refreshes it worked (albeit loaded very slowly).
Played this last night!
BTW:
The M.O.A.B. is back!
Excellent, of course, but the improvement over BTD3 is minimal. A few new balloon types and a few new tower types. Meh. And they removed the branching upgrades, which is lame - now if you want to add blades to the tack shooter but don't need the range upgrade, too bad; you have to buy the range upgrade no matter what.
This seems to mostly just add a little superficial complexity and eye candy but not many new ideas.
BTD3 is one of the greatest TD games of all time, and this is about as good - so it is very good, indeed. You wish they could have taken it to another level instead of just adding a few marginal upgrades.
And a review note:
NinjaKiwi has changed the dynamics of the game for the fourth installment. Towers and other defenses unlock one at a time rather than all at once.
That's only on the first playthrough; once something is unlocked it is then unlocked from the very beginning of any new games you start. So I wouldn't say they have changed the dynamics, really - it'd be more accurate to say that they added a (forced) tutorial mode.
You can get the frag bomb mochi upgrade for free, but you still need to open an account. I don't agree with these "premium" upgrades at all (is this foreshadowing that BTD5 is going to be an all pay game?), but I thought I'd throw it out there that one of them's free.
I dont know whats wrong for me. i run Windows 7 and google chrome.. tried IE to. and same problem.. the game works but the only thing that seems to be wrong is that the speed button doesnt work at all. and its pretty annoying to wait so long when you start a new map and run those first waves. anyone has any idea whats wrong?
I'm actually not bothered that much by the Mochicoins stuff... the powerups and rank-skipping are a bit stupid (though I won't complain too much about free frag bombs), but I'm considering buying the levels. Even more so if Mochi cycles their offers frequently enough for me to get the coins without spending money or doing anything worse than trying out a MMO for a couple minutes. (though that's not likely)
I loved BTD 1-3, and 4 definitely fits well as the next step in this series. Really well done.
Can't say I'm a fan of the fact that "branching" item upgrades were taken out, that was a feature that I really enjoyed.
Other than that, superb installment. It's just a sad statement that in the end... the bloons will always win. :(
Just a note for all you casual cheapsters out there. Take a closer look at the premium upgrade menu. . . one of these things is not like the other one.
Love the game, but for some reason the fast forward actually slows my game down. I do have a fairly fast computer - macbook pro so I don't think that's it. anyone else have this?
Otherwise, very good successor to the other bloons tds.
OK. I think somethings going wrong
I start the game... it says 'loading' pops up 'choose your type' ok... 'easy'.
"welcome. on Easy, you have 200 lives etc etc etc"
No continue bar, no 'next' can't place any baloons... nothing happens.
just the maze, and that blue box. happens on easy and intermediate... can't do anything past choosing my level of difficulty. Anyone any idea's/suggestions?
Ashiel: I had a similar thing. Disabling my adblocker fixed it.
Hey I've just encountered a possibly major problem...
I have a mochi account, and my rank--well, was 20+. I started a new game, and my rank was still at 20+. I saved and loaded the game later, and my rank dropped to 9 :(
Fix it please!
You should really implement a way of speeding up the gameplay during the early waves.
Either fix that fast fwd button or make it possible to call waves early.
Seriously this game is great! I loved it! I got to levvel 58 but had to quit after think the gamer. This game is sooo addictive. And for the whiners if you hate this game or think it isn't that great or needs more stuff just think to yourself can I do any better?
I want to play this game so bad, but it wont load on my computer. time to troubleshoot!
Well, after looking around the site, it turns out none of the games that worked previously are working anymore...
I'm using IE and I believe my flash is updated, but I still get a little image on the upper left of every game, the one that shows you theres supposed to be a picture but it wont show up. could it just be that the site can't handle the traffic? If this is the case, is there a mirror available that I could play the game at?
the game doesn't work on my computer
I really don't like how if your cursor goes outside of the game window you lose whatever you had selected. I just lost about 15 balloons that I could've easily roadspiked if I hadn't kept losing the spikes I had selected.
1/5, it's broken. Like others I can manage to pick a difficulty setting, etc., but once the level loads, none of the controls except for the mute button do anything, and there are various controls even before that which look like they should do something but don't respond to clicks.
Does the fast forward button actually work for anyone?
quote :it's broken. Like others I can manage to pick a difficulty setting, etc., but once the level loads, none of the controls except for the mute button do anything, and there are various controls even before that which look like they should do something but don't respond to clicks.
unquote.
wtf is going on?
maybe we're all so fascinated by the great ideas, that our game developers forgot to work on glitch preventing and stuff...
My game works perfectly, even the Fast Forward button. It crashed at level 96 though.:p
On Firefox i had the same problem (no responding to clicks once the game started), with IE it's working but awfully slow...
please fix this!
My fast forward works fine until about level 60 then all hell breaks loose from the large amounts of balloons, super monkeys, and various explosions.
Any suggestions on how to beat the expert (last) level? I've lost count of how many times I've tried to beat it (on Easy!), but I know I've leveled up at least 4 times since starting.
EDIT: I beat it! I beat it! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I FINALLY BEAT IT!!!!
*Ahem* Sorry about that, I've been trying for days.
If anyone else is having trouble with that level, one thing that really REALLY helped me was:
letting my money accumulate so I could afford the 4th level upgrades, and only adding towers when a lot of bloons were getting past the ones I had. I beat the first 20+ levels with just a 4th upgraded tack shooter, a 3rd upgraded cannon, and a 2nd upgraded banana farm for $$
after finally being able to play the game, I've found only a few things that bother me. the first is that whatever tower you have selected becomes deselected as soon as the level ends. not a major glitch, but annoying. the other is that the fast forward button practically doesn't work. I would very much appreciate it if these things were fixed, but its not essential to my play. as a last note, while attempting to buy the fraq bombs I could not connect to server so I tried again. the second attempt also failed, but 30 seconds afterward I was given the fraq bomb and for some reason had NaN mochi coins. I want to use this glitch to get some of the upgrades that cost money, but I'm afraid of getting in legal trouble so I can't. Oh well :)
Which defensive units can kill off the camo balloons?
Tonya:
Common road spikes work just fine for early levels. For long groups of camo balloons, area-effect weapons (spike towers, etc.) will pop them despite being unable to "see" them, so you only need a single road spike on the first camo balloon to give the towers a visible target.
Later, upgraded airplanes can allow all towers in the area to "see" them.
To add to OtherBill's comment, @Tonya:
The Monkey Buccaneer also has an upgrade like the Monkey Ace to let towers around it see the camo bloons, or you can set up a mortar tower aimed at the beginning at the level since it explodes without detecting bloons
Personally, I think the camo bloons are an interesting addition to the game, but it's lousy that you only have a few choices to combat them. More towers should've gotten that upgrade.
More camo balloon upgrades = less FUN upgrades
how do you save the game? No save button on the screen...
douglas:
In Bloons TD 4, you can only save your game if you are become a member of Mochi Games (which is free and quick, I might add). Also, you cannot save your game once you go into freeplay, which is after you have technically beaten the map.
This game is WAY too easy once you get the Banana Research Facility... I'm up to 20,000 per level from them... the Fire Ring (Lvl 5 Tack Tower) at the end of the stage has been there for 15 levels and still has 0 kills from nothing getting that far (just passed round 82).
Died on level 88 (on hard mode)
There were literally 15 BFBs in a row (mixed in with a few MOABs and assorted Browns of course) O.O
I was a big fan of TD3, and when TD4's annoying bugs get fixed I'm sure I'll be a fan of it too... but for now the save button tells me I'm not logged in... even when I am... and the fast forward is an epic fail... making the first 10 levels or so almost too painful to put up with.
I also preferred to be able to choose which upgrades to take... so the new upgrade method is just naff.
Having said that, I love the series and I have always been a big Ninja Kiwi fan (Being a Kiwi myself helps :) - and I'm sure these things will be fixed in the fullness of time. until then I have TD3 and I will still play the occasional TD4 for the experience.
Steve
i just got MURDERED my 82, no beacons, 2 god towers
My computer is fairly new, within last year, fast forward button does nothing
can someone tell me the lv5 upgrade of glue shooter, monkey ace, monkey apprentice, super monkey and banana farm?please
I'm enjoying this one. Can't say I've played the previous ones enough to know if it's better or worse than them, but the final upgrades you can unlock for the monkeys are pretty awesome.
Here's a little of a strategy I've developed for single-entrance levels:
After the first few levels, start placing glue monkeys near the entrance, set to "strong" or "last" targeting. The key is to give them at least the glue soak upgrade so that even if they spawn multiple balloons when popped, those inner balloons will all be glued.
You guys ROCK - love the target priority and the banana farms - so good... Wish the Fast Fwd btn worked better, but still - excellent job guys!
How do you beat
level 85??? There are like 5 BFBs in a row followed by tons of MOABs.
This game is great,.....but there is one thing.....
The Fast Foward button should work on older computer too!.....
so banana farms are useless on acolypse???
the fast forward button works fine on my 3 year old laptop... But then again my 3 year old laptop has a better vid card than most new computers today. Thats probably whats allowing my Fast Forward to work, either that or the fact that i have a dual core processor that can handle the extra traffic generated by the button. I hope this helps in explaining why it doesnt work for some
Darn, I just crashed my browser at level 100 on the first map on Easy. The Bloon count was 355,213.
My setup was spam M.O.A.B. maulers and Glue Monkey (5th upgrade - spread)
Followed by 20-ish Triple Mortars aiming at the path
The rest was filled with Misc. towers and Research Facilities
Banana farms do not give any money after round 60 when the popup appears "you have won blah blah"
works fine after that though.
Sigh...
Warning, rant ahead:
Note to all game designers out there: If you want to get Mochi Coins out of people, that's fine, put premium content in, I won't hold it against you so long as the game isn't completely impossible without it.
Just one request, though: If you're going to do that, DON'T HAVE A LEADERBOARD! Premium content that makes the game easier should not be made unavailable to some people if you're going to paste a list of the game's top players in front of everyone! You're just allowing people to buy their way into the top page!
This is what kills MMOs, when you make premium content so great that people who have real-world cash to splurge can cheat their way past everyone else! I don't want to play a game where only rich people can be the best, there's enough of that garbage out in the real world!
I agree wholeheartedly with Sylocat. Furthermore it just kills all the fun for me if a game can only be beaten by signing up to some stupid organization I never wanted to sign up to. A game can't be that important. Although it is fun and I've beaten all tracks in easy mode and several in medium mode without any Mochi-crap.
At level 100 i had 11 banana research facilitys(lvl 5), 1 cannon(lvl 3), one mortar(lv 3), three spike-o-pults(lvl 3), one artic wind ice tower(lvl 5), one bucaneer(lvl 5), one stealth plane(lvl 5), one glue gunner(lvl 5), one yedi monkey(lvl 5), one tack shooter(lvl 5), 5 monkey beacons(4 lvl 4 and one lvl 5), 4 mage monkeys(lvl 5) and 31 sun gods(lvl 5). No mochicoins used. And still i allmost failed at level 100! O.o There should be more upgrades, 'cause all that towers made me lag so much so a sun god beam was slower than a red bloon is(if it's no lag).
Some ideas for BTD5(i hope they'll make one):
1. Antimatter beam for super monkeys, before or after sun god, i dunno.
2. Samurai monkey. Hits on a very small area right before it, but is pretty strong.
3.Giant monkey. Shoots mega darts. Pretty small, but it's big, so it leaves less place for other towers and cant be placed in small spaces between two roads.
4:Road spike factory. Makes road spikes cost 15 money and puts roadspikes on the track at random place sometimes(I've only used roadspikes when i tryed out what it was in BTD1, so i wouldn't use it, but maybe good for someone else)
5:Pineapple spewer. shoots pineapples at the enemy, so it only works if there are more behind the targeted bloon.
I've also drawed how I think they should look, but i haven't submitted anywhere yet.
Sorry for the long post and my english if it's bad^^(I'm from sweden)
sorry for the doubble post, but i forgot to say this: More and more games seem to be based on mochicoins(or should i say infected by?) and i really hate it >.
How do I get on the leaderboards?
Anyone know how to use the cash injection or extra lives upgrades? i click on them and it says i own 1 because i paid for the upgrades but i cant seem to use them. any help?
@ Zendikar: To get on the leaderboards, you purchase 8,000 Mochicoins and buy all the upgrades, so you can compete against the rich people.
*sigh* Sorry, I'll calm down. It is a really good game in most other ways.
However, I don't like how they changed the values of certain bloons, like the Rainbow Bloon (which now contains two zebras instead of two blacks and whites), which means the ceramic bloons and MOABs have different values now, which is a bit of a jar if you've played BTD2 and 3. Also, it would be nice for a bit more indication of how you can get your towers to detect Camo bloons (I figured it out, but it kicked my tail the first time). Also, the branching upgrades should have stayed... if anything, they should have made MORE options.
Other than that, I do like it. The unlockable-by-rank goodies do add some replay value, the Camo and Zebra bloons are pretty interesting ideas, and I love the B.F.B. (if my calculations are correct, the B.F.B. is 773 bloons).
To my question specifically, how--do--I--get--onto--the--leaderboards?
My mistake, the B.F.B. is 1,525 bloons.
where do you even put in your mochicoins stuff? i cant see it
anyone have the list of 5th upgrades for all towers?
This game is too easy with the wizard monkeys, quit on level 117 as it was killing my macbook, each level was taking like an hour and on the borderline of frozen. Whats the furtherest anyones got?
Actually the BFB is about 2700 bloons. look at the RBE of the level with just the BFB.
No offense, but why on earth did you place the banana farm in the center of the map in your second screenshot? There is plenty of room for those farms outside of the circle. What a waste of prime real estate.
this game is very slow
has anyone beaten the expert track on hard?
thats all im missing. (and i refuse to buy mochicoins)
can manage it on intermediate but on hard just cant get enough stuff to deal with them.
Anonymo -
Because I liked the look of it there and thought it would make for a nice screenshot.
theirbrains... -
Here's a list of the 5th level upgrades:
Dart Monkey - Triple Shot Spikeopult
Tack Shooter - Ring of Fire
Boomerang Thrower - Light Sabre Thrower
Bomb Tower - Moab Mauler
Ice Tower - Arctic Wind
Mortar Tower - Mortar Battery
Glue Gunner - Glue Splatter
Monkey Beacon - Monkey Storm
Monkey Ace - Operation Dart Storm
Monkey Buccaneer - Battleship
Monkey Apprentice - Tempest Tornado
Supermonkey - Sun God
Banana Farm - Banana Research Facility
Here's a screenshot of each of the towers upgraded to level 5.
Ok I'm stuck... I can't beat Level 72 of the second board on hard... the MAOB's are unstoppable.... suggestions?
My choice combo was
5th level ice + 5th level tacks. This makes for a godly combination because the ice slows the bloons down for the tack to obliterate them. With this combo the tack was popping more than even a plasma!
The Fast Forward button doesn't really work for me, but I've found that if I open a new tab and switch over to it during a round things start moving pretty quickly. You can't see it of course, but you know it's going fast because you can hear the bloons popping like crazy.
I Really like the Game.=).
But on easy it´s really a way too easy.
just passed 110 xD
but its pretty nice and i have 25 sun gods at moment.
and everywhere are flying mokey aces..:)
but the game is NICE!!
how do u get 2 the next round!!!?!!!????!!
what, exactly, is the "8. count 'em." on level 65 referring to?
I think it means the next level.
This game basically ruined everything that was good about btd 3. I didn't mind the graphics and I didn't have to pay or sign up for anything. Good job destroying probably the best flash game of all time.
i don't understand, this im on round 87 and i have 20,000 coins. the RBE (red bloon equivelent) is roughly 90k. at the end of the round i have 66k coins, where did the other 44k coins go ?
heya, yeah i know its nothing to do with this anything hehe, but on my laptop, the modern warefare 2 trailer is making my game lag, and when i refresh or go on the website later, its the same advert! anything i do is just making it lag, so much lag because of this stupid advert for a game i hate! so is there anything that anyone to say or an advert blocker or something to help me? please help!
does the banana farm do anythin in apopalypse? and also i dont get y u ppl dont like the new upgrades. i love them! its becuase ppl like u whine tht they put it in there. it just makes the game more difficult which i think is good. the only thing i have 2 complain bout is the sun god. i think it should cost less or do more dmg... i bought like 3 of them n they did much less then the equivelent in plasma monkeys or laser monkeys.
I've played this game, and, well, I'm not sure how to say this...
How about "THIS GAME IS BLEEPING AWESOME!!!!!"
When I saw the BFB (which I thought stood for big fat bloon untill the game corrected me) I thought, That thig is HUUUUGE!
On a more serious note, I loved how the towers complimented each other, and how you can now choose to target the strongest or weakest bloons.
Also, I think there should be a "Bloon of End" at level 100, with 10 BFBs inside it.
Just an idea. After all, every game needs a final boss.
i went all the way to rank 32.
This game is AWESOME! I absolutely loved Bloons TD 3, but this one seems to be better in almost every way. However, a few things:
1. Now that there's a cooldown period on the monkey storm, we should be able to build more than one monkey storm beacon.
2. Do banana farms do anything on apopalypse? If they don't, they really should, they're a really great addition to the game and it would be a shame to see them go to waste in an entire mode like that.
Hopefully they'll address these things when they add in the map editor and fix that fast forward button.
I can't seem to get past the hard track on hard I'll get the 75 lvl and the screen will go blank and I can't do anything and then my screen goes back to BTD4 and it says Game Over any suggestions
sorry for double posting but I cant seem to get past lvl 75 on it my screen keeps going blank
I had another idea:
The upgrades you need mochicoins for should be unlockable by acievements in the game, such as getting the "double ranga" by finishing a track on mmedium without losing a life
After all, I think that it it silly you can just set up an account and be #1 witout trying.
Sorry for another post, but...
PUT IN A QUALITY BUTTON!!!!!!!!!!!
Now it is lagging so much it takes several minutes per level. I would rather put the quality to low, and finih the level quickly.
I'm up to level 53 and I've made it through the first 4 tracks on hard and track 5 (the omega shaped track) on easy, but I can't seem to beat it on medium...much less hard. Any tips would be appreciated
Oh...and I agree with the comments about browser lagging and the fast forward button.

Victory, no tricks, no cheats. Got to level 80 before losing on Hard on Expert.
Mine works perfectly. I have never had any trouble with it an I have gotten to level 96 recently. My theory is that it works differently for everyone and randomly decides whether to work, have problems and then work, or to not work at all. Otherwise, it is a great game and I agree with whoever it was who said you should be able to earn the premium upgrades from different accomplishments. Have fun!
Just for those of you whose strategy is to put down as many banana farms as possible and then have enough money to do pretty much whatever you want, did you know
On the first level, you can place banana farms (or probably any other tower) on the top of the water where there is a little bit of land?
I am a long time bloons fan (well only the td versions). I love the new operation dart storm and the 'obi won kenobi' monkey towers. The graphics are sweet and the maps are ok BUT. three things
1.the fast forward button is completely pointless
2.the banana research facility makes it way too easy
3.and mostly... I want the premium upgrades but there's no way I'm paying for a free flash game!
sell outs...
For all those complaining that a flash game wants you to pay:
You do know you're getting most of the game for free, right? That's better than many games give you. Games take time to produce. And effort. Lots of both. So, if ninjakiwi is looking to get a little compensation for their game, don't blame them. I don't see you all cranking out free flash games. Sheesh.
i love bloons games but just cant get the controls for it... it is stuffed on mine:(
How do you pop camo bloons? My towers just ignore them.
lol, easy thing to do on easy
once your high enough rank, get enough money to get 2 banana republics, 3 mortar batteries, and after that, just spam the heck out of the map with lightsabers, they're cheaper than super monkeys, and do so much more damage. i'm at level 77, and nothing can get past even the first turn of the map.
The fastforward button doesnt work, after around 76 or so, the variety of the levels is no more. It gets boring and not dynamic at all....heres how to never ever die on medium easy level.
start off with a wizard and keep him until you reach 1000 for a banana farm. dont hasten upgrades or even if you lose a few lives, but keep upgrading the banana farm...then add some towers to be safe, but keep making new banana farms and upgrading as quickly as possible...it gives me 20000 money after every round im on round 92 with over 275000 money and still growing.....
I can't win on the Advanced level, Medium difficulty, no matter what I do. I always lose on the last wave. Lately I'm using mostly cannon towers upgraded to the max, plus ice towers (ditto). Help! Thanks!
I really don't like the MochiCoins... But I really love all the upgrades! So freaking awesome.
Never mind -- I finally did it. I should've known that posting a question would guarantee that I would solve it later the same day. :D
How did you do this? I mean Advanced Level? :-)
I managed to beat advanced on medium (don't ask, I don't remember how. A lot of glave throwers if I remember correctly).
If anyone has a strategy to beat the Advanced track on hard, let me know. I can't for the life of me figure it out.
There is no strategy to the game for me. just buy mortars and keep moving the targets. i got to level 179 on hard and advanced. the rounds take like a freakin hour tho.
This is a fun game. But if you play the intermediate and expert levels on hard, I believe they are impossible to win without buying upgrades. I understand wanting to make money, but this is really lame. As another poster has said, the High Score Board is only for those who can afford it. The game's web page gets plenty of traffic and probably brings in decent advertising revenue, for what it is. When they make Bloons Tower Defense 5, I hope the higher levels are winnable without upgrade$.
