About the comb:

When I'm scanning the files with it, it seems to snap to a locked position when I've got it over a certain part of the "Number" file, which gives me the letters "hthi". Either this is another code, or it somehow correlates to the window.

you can drag the comb around on the laptop's files as well, side to side. this means there's words in there or something.

Got it!!!!

Use the Mirror while looking at the second chair (you will be able to see the window through the mirror above the chair). You will see the window message reversed. After this, go to the computer, use the comb on the third file down to get the letters "hthi". WHile looking at this, use the mirror on the PC. This will spell out White Chair. Back out, go to the white chair, click on it and you will get close up to it. Use the razor blade on it, and you will get the gold key, and you're out!!! YAAAAY!

If you double click on the shard while in the correct position, it shows you something else. But it's not really helping me!

middle of the yellow chairs, drag it onto the left chair's mirror. you can do the same thing by reading backwards but this is required.
now take it back to the laptop, do the comb thing and they will combine on the laptop.
go to the white chair and razor blade on the back of the headrest, grab the key by clicking on the tear and use it on the glass door to the right of the laptop, look for the blue mat on the floor.
I'm annoyed that the red book and left door are not used.

If you've finished, read this.

The red book, the left door, at the end, your item screen suddenly displays two items as used that you never picked up. Plus the photo in the register. The mirror shard wasn't hard to find, and that mirror is broken very strangely. Why have you solve a puzzle to just find another hidden item? You need to look more carefully than that to find most objects. There's more to that photo, and there's more to that mirror, I just don't know how to find out. You're being watched, it's a set. The ghosts in the mirror aren't ghosts. But I can't prove it. There's a partition seperating the two back rooms,and you can see over the curved wall with the mirrors on it and see the ceilings of the two back rooms. You can even see the partition doesn't totally seperate both rooms. I can't find it, but I'm just letting you know that if you've finished, keep looking, there's more there. I don't know for sure, but knowing Gotmail, I'm convinced there's an alternate ending and a better explanation for what appears to be a hair salon. P.S. This hair salon shows up in a later, untranslated game, but it's not as a hair salon. Not a fully set-up one anyways, just pieces of the set...

where do u find all the items?

Okay... I can't find the mirror shard... I'm looking at the picture, clicking on every part of every mirror, and I'm not getting it... I also can't find the hair dryer.

Where is the razor blade? What do I use the rust remover and the mannequin head for? Are these three related?

I clicked on the link and got a black screen popup, that has Japanese writing and a translation "Windows Vista users may have a problem with this game. We're sorry about that." And a bunch of google ads. Ummm, I'm using a Mac- I'm not understanding this- Maybe that is their version of a "our bandwidth is exceeded" type page.

Hmmm. I'm stuck on some really basic stuff.

I've picked up:

The blue key, the business card, the comb, the remote control, the phone, the rust remover.

Unlock the phone, the laptop, and the cash register.

Batteries for the remote control, the mirror shard, and the hair dryer. I can't find any of these!

Nevermind. I got stuck at the remote control, but eventually, with help, found the answer.

Remote control:

Requires batteries, which are VERY well hidden in a mouse behind the laptop. Click on the desk and the laptop a few times until you can just see the edge of the mouse. This felt unfairly hidden to me.

Where is the raizor, looked everwhere and it's all that's left. Any help?

Walkthrough

click to zoom in on chair. Click on chair to tip it over, click on trolley to move it - look under trolley - collect green comb, look under chair (collect key from beetle if there) move back to original screen

click on speaker in top left corner of room. Click speaker twice more to move it up. Collect rust remover from on top of door. move back to original screen.

click right one screen. click to zoom in on chair. Click on chair to tip it over, look under chair (collect key from beetle if there) zoom back out. Do this with all the chairs in the row except the one on the far right. There should also be a mobile phone on the third chair. Collect it.

move to right of far right chair (looking down corridor) to be able to zoom in on it. Click to zoom in. Click on waste bin to lift it, click underneath waste bin to look under bin. Note blue business card to right of socket - take it. Double click on business card to open it in your inventory. Click on it again to discover a number on the back. Double click on mobile phone in inventory. Enter number from business card. You have a message. Zoom out.

turn right to go behind reception desk. Click on books on bottom shelf to knock over far right book. Collect remote. Click on cash register to zoom in. Click on bulge behind laptop (mouse). Double click on mouse in inventory - click twice more to discover the batteries. remove them. Double click on remote in inventory, click again to turn over and open battery cover. Click and drag batteries to place in remote. Zoom out.

click on laptop to zoom in. Click on power key to turn laptop on. enter code from text message on mobile phone as password. Laptop should display a series of files. Open each file and use scroll bar on right to check the whole of each file. One of them will contain a number. Also note that you can use the green comb with what appear to be the random selections of letters. (useful later). Zoom out.

Zoom back in on cash register. Use the number from the text file on the laptop on the keypad, then use the blue key to open the register. Look at the photo. It's a picture of a broken mirror with something behind it. Click on the photo so it says 'what is this photo?' Zoom out.

move to the opposite side of the room where there is a white chair and a yellow chair against the wall. Above the yellow chair is a heater on the wall. Click on the heater to zoom in. Use the remote with the heater. Something falls out. Zoom out. Turn to the right and look at the floor in front of the door. There will be a silver key. Zoom out.

move to the corridor at the end of the bank of chairs (left of the reception desk) at the end there is a door. Unlock this with the silver key.

you're now in a room with two basins. Click to the right to get a better view. Click on the left-hand chair, collect the hair dryer from the shelf and the mannequin from under the shelf. Double click on the mannequin in your inventory to zoom in on it. Use the comb with the mannequin to find a rusty razorblade. Use the rust remover on the razorblade. Zoom out.

click on the right-hand chair. Notice it it in front of a broken mirror. Click on the mirror in the spot where the photo in the cash register showed something behind the mirror. (you may need to go back to the cash register and look at it again for it to let you do this). Collect the mirror shard.

go back to the main room and stand in front of the big window it describes as dirty. Click on the power outlet to zoom in. Plug the hairdryer into the power outlet. Zoom out, then zoom in on the window. Hold the plugged-in hairdryer over the window - you should be able to hear it working. Gradually an inage and letters will appear. Zoom out.

Stand behind the second chair in the row opposite the window. You should be able to see the big window reflected in the mirror in from of the chair. Use the mirror shard from your inventory with the mirror on the wall where the biog window is reflected. This should show the letters on the window to read WIECAR.

go back to the laptop. you need the file which reads lhitam htiog. Use the comb with the file until only the letters hthi are visible. Then use the mirror shard with the laptop. The words 'white chair' should be visible.

go to the white chair. You should now be able to zoom in and cut open the leather with the razor blade. Congrats! You now have the key to the glass doors by the cash register and your freedom!

I wish there had been something to find in the

room to the left(of where you start). Was anyone able to get the door open? Also, there should have been an explanation of the story. We see a couple ghosts, but NOTHING else that's spooky.

Hm, don't have a clue where to find the razor. Must be obvious, but I don't know where that obvious place is.

It took me a while, but I found this walkthrough on another website and thought I would post it here for all you guys who are stuck.

Step 1

Start at the far left. Look in corner of room above the door and click on the speaker twice - it moves out of the way and you can take the tube of rust remover.

In the row of chairs, go to the one on the left where there is a cart next to the chair. Move it and pick up the green comb on the floor.

Move to the third chair from the left and pick up the cell phone from the seat.

Click on the last chair on the right so you can see the trash can from overhead. There is nothing in the can, but if you click to lift it and look up from underneath it, you can see next to the socket under the counter there is a business card. Get the code from the back of it.

Use the code from the card on the phone to get an email. Click on the email and it gives you another password.

Go over to the desk and turn on the laptop. Open the files and scroll down each of them until you come to one that has a code at the bottom.

Go back to the chairs to the second one and click to move it. Click on the floor to find a beetle and blue key. Take the key.

Go back to the cash register and put the code from the computer file into the key pad and use the key on the drawer. Look at the photo and remember what you see.

Go to the shelves next to the cash register and click on the slanted book on the bottom shelf to get the remote.

Click on the register so you can see the mouse behind the laptop. Take it.

Open the mouse and take out the batteries and then open the back of the remote and put them in.

Go over to the heater on the left wall at the end of the other chairs. click on it to move closer and then use the remote on it to turn it on. Watch a key fall out.

Go back to the door in the left corner (where you found the rust remover) and pick up the key on the floor in front of it.

Go around the chairs to the right until you come to a door. Use the key on it.

Face the chairs (turn right) and click to the left of the first chair (at the top) and pick up the dryer from the floor.

Go back and click on the right side of the broken mirror behind the second chair (like in the photograph) and pick up the piece of mirror. Note the mirror it shows.

On the floor near the second chair is a maniquinn head.

Use the comb on the wig and get to get the razor blade.

Use the rust remover on the blade.

Go back into the first room and click on the outlet near the big mirror (or is it a window?) and plug in the blowdryer.

Use the dryer on the mirror (hold down the left mouse key) until you can see the message clearly. You will hear the dryer running if you do it right.

Turn around and move to mirror you saw in your mirror piece (this is the second yellow chair - this is not what the mirror showed in my opinion). Use the piece of a mirror on that mirror (just drag it to the center) and you will see the reflection of the message (”WIECAR”).

Go to the laptop again and open the “Number” file. Move the comb over it until you see the letters “hthi.”

Use the mirror with it to combine the two messages. (”whitechair”).

Go over to the white chair and zoom in on it (you cannot do this until you have combined the messages) and use the razor on the top part of the chair. Take the gold key.

Use the key on the mirrored door in front of the desk and you are done. For some reason 2 more items appear in your inventory.

The code from the cell phone doesn't seem to work in the laptop for me. Am I doing something wrong? I even restarted the game, got a different password, and that still didn't work.

I have a problem with the computer pass

I already unblocked the cellphone, but the text there, i read it was for the lap top there... I input the pass and nothing. and there is a weird typo that looks like an a or q or d or whatever, like an o and an i way to sticked one to another, and I DUNNO WHAT TO DO

I figured out the problem with the cell phone code.

The text message cuts off the bottom of some of the letters, so that what's really a "y" looks like a "v"...

When I enter the password from the text message into the laptop nothing happens.

My only guess for those 2 extra items in the inventory is for a sequel to Nigepico. I've never seen that scene on that 2nd photograph before on any of their other games (am i wrong?). And that last item, was that the towel from the far right yellow chair? I'm guessing it all has to deal with a pool or bathhouse scene. But that's just me guessing ^_^

I found this wouldn't work in Mozilla 2 only Internet Exporer Caya, mind you I'm using a PC?

I am also having the problem where

the password from the cell phone doesn't work on the laptop. I have tried playing the game twice and it wouldn't work either time.

DOH! I figured it out. The "a" was really a "q" but the bottom was cut off.

I have some other hints for the laptop password:

Something that looks like an "i" might be a "j" and I also had something in there that could have been a "q" or a "g". So you have to be patient and try out a few "versions" of the password. But finally it will work! :-)

The cell phone code - I eventually got one without any cut off characters (actually only two were and they were both p's)

ridiculous. well made, but the steps need to be just a tad bit more obvious. also the ending ans well as the unused items. it's like they had a deadline and released the game without finishing it. i agree, it's probably a movie/tv set. much needs to be explained, and i hope it happens soon.

I believe the extra 2 items are from a previous version of this game. I remember playing it some time back before they came out with an English version.. some of the items are different

you have to completely blow dry the window... it sucks.. i was at it for like 30 minutes trying to figure it out

Kassich is right -- it sucks that

apparently you can't use the shard on the mirror until you've reached some arbitrary point with the blowdryer -- well after the letters are clearly visible. And legible without the stupid mirror!

I gave up -- this game isn't worth finishing.

OK, I managed to

combine "W I E C A R" on the window with "h t t i" found with the comb in the computer file into "WhItE ChAiR". But for the life of e I can't do a thing eoth the white chair. Can't bring it into a closeup, can't cut it open with the polished razor blade... Got the suspicion that once i manage to closeup on it everything will be fine - but how???

Couple of things that don't seem to be fair with this - otherwise absolutely fine - game:

If i can bring a door to closeup and even displays an "it's locked" message upon clicking on it - well, then it's a bitter disappointment to find out that the door will never be opened and passed in the game because it's not needed. Also, too much attention is drawn to the mirror behind the white chair. It triggers a message, a ghost is seen in it - yet, again, this mirror has no importance whatsoever - at least not that I know of and that would hinder the player in beating the game. The red book... Plain annoying to find out that no matter what, you won't be able to take it. Getting the clue "white chair"... I solved it without using the shard of mirror and the comb-routine on the computer file twice. I first got the "htti" clue than the "wiecar" one - without the drier first :) and had to use the walkthru to find out that i had to do the mirror and re-combing tricks to find out what i already knew - without this there's no progression... Last but not least the never-found item on the item list that magically appears out of the blue after I finished the game - that bent S-shaped thingy. WTF?

It's quite a good game though.

One last remark:

strange that the razor blade needs to be de-rusted before i can use it - a rusty razor-blade can be sharp, and a blunt blade wont get sharp with an anti-rust treatment :)

Well, BioLarzen, would you want to shave/hurt yourself with a rusty razor?

Actually, I haven't played the game yet, so I don't know what it's used for. Still, there is the issue of hygiene.

I saw the manequinn and it's freaky... BUT THEN I COULDN'T FIND THE SHATTERED MIRROR, SO I REFRESHED THE PAGE.

I played again and THIS TIME, I COULDN'T FIND THE MANEQUINN AGAIN. Is there something wrong?

People shouldn't have to waste time thinking of endless combos to make a password work. I had a password where there are 3 i's which could have been j's and an a that could be a g or a q. The game looks really nice, but it seems there needs to be some cleaning up. I'll probably never finish this game because of that one glitch.

There is something wrong with this game I think. The stupid phone won't send me the stupid message though I use the number on the back of the card. Zzzzzzz.

one of the items that appears in your inventory at the end is a

guy and girl meet and promise if they are ever separated, they meet at 'the bar'. they do get separated, and eventually the guy buys the bar, which is on the top floor of the same building as 'the car'. the lady tells her daughter to meet the guy for her if she doesnt show up at the bar next day, and then goes to 'the shochu bar' to make her decision. She decides she wants to meet him and realizes her hair is a mess so she goes to a salon across the street from the bar. but she falls asleep and misses the meeting so her daughter talks to the guy. then as she steps out of the hair salon, she notices her daughter and the guy and runs over. they are finally reunited, when all of a sudden some kid in a shiny new car comes tearing out of the building and is about to run them over, but instead veers and crashes into the salon, freeing the ghost from its eternal entrapment of living in mirrors in the place it died by someone smashing his head into the mirror. When the police investigate they find some terrible things in the other back room, and some incriminating evidence in the red book.

I don't get why people are still saying they're stuck or can't find this or that or can't figure out a password. I believe, scrolling down, I've seen at least TWO full walkthroughs.

I loved this game, because it was so straightforward. I was able to do it completely and easily without the help of hints or a walkthrough. Things made sense, mostly - as in, what items to use and where. It was great that there were no anagrams or secret codes... everything was just there for you. I believe I found all the items there were, and I used them all in one way or another. Someone mentioned when they finished the game there were two(?) extra items in the inventory. What were they? I think they probably just included things you hadn't found and had managed to finish without.

i finished the game, but i don't get what the red glowing light was for or the photo at the end and what it meant. Lol, i don't think i saw any ghost and when it said 'i think there's something terrible in the mirror' i thought it was talking about your reflection :P

hahaha, I never saw the ghost! I was almost to the end when I saw all the posts about the ghost. I was wondering what they meant with the "there is something terrible in that mirror."

I saw the message about the 'something terrible' in the white chair mirror, so I stayed there to see what would happen. 10 minutes later, nothing. I then moved to the orange/brownish chair next to it to continue with the game, and lo and behold, a ghost.
Do they show up everywhere?

This sucks.
There is something shiny under the first chair, but when I try clicking it- the screen goes back to the main view. I know that much is because the down peice is /right/ there. But christ... MAkes the game impossible!

I had to give up. I never would have found the mannequin without the walkthrough. Even with the walkthrough it took me a while to find it.

I'm stuck with the mirror. I used the hair dryer multiple times to dry the mirror and used the shard on the mirror in front of the yellow chair.

It's frustrating to have spent so much time on a game only to have to: 1. Cheat and 2. Not be able to finish.

In the new room, move right to face the two chairs and then click around the left hand chair to locate a hairdryer.

Zoom out and then click in the sink by the other chair to collect a shard of mirror. Whilst zoomed in, look behind the chair to collect a wig on a mannequin’s head.
