Il Destino is an online point-and-click room escape game by the same team that created The Bar. Your father is a famous car designer who created a vehicle based on your childhood drawings. He sold it shortly after it was built and you thought you'd never see it again. But today your father gives you the keys to his showroom where you find the shining car waiting for you. The only problem is you can't seem to get out.
Just like The Bar, Il Destino takes place in a single, stunningly rendered room. Everything you see is drawn in clean, shiny detail. The camera dramatically swoops as you navigate with the shaded arrows on the screen. You can also find hidden areas and uncover a items by clicking on the scenery itself.
In order to solve the puzzles in Il Destino, you'll have to find and use items in conjunction with each other. Click the inventory item, then click "About Item". This gives you a close-up of the object and lets you use other things with it or maybe even manipulate the item itself.
When compared to The Bar, this game is much more straight-forward and easy to solve. The puzzles make more sense and you don't have to roam around clicking everywhere to find what you need. Navigation is a bit tricky in some areas, as the arrows don't always seem to point where they lead. It takes some time, but you'll be able to easily move back and forth with just a little exploration.
A short but nevertheless stunning game. Play.
Thanks to Matt for sending this in!
Il Destino walkthrough now available!
Comments (may contain spoilers)
Thought I'd share the walkthrough I made while playing the game again. It's not as useful as The Bar or Kawa, but maybe someone will get use out of it?
i found this game quite odd and even by using the walkthrough i could not complete the bit where it opens a new page up!!!
but still thanks to matt for posting it
hey I've got all the Items except 1 and I can't figure out the password for the safe on the wall can you give me a hint
OK, so we've had "The Bar" and "The Car".... What's next, I wonder...
The Jar?
The Scar?
The Star?
The Guitar??
Alex:

soooo much easier than the bar, i could actually do it! :D
weeeee that was an easy one.
Fun! Just right. Not too much time that I get nothing else done all day long and not too easy that I am looking for something else. I was like Alex, had trouble with the password for the safe on the wall. I had followed the URL, but was looking too deep, kept thinking something at the address would give me clue. It was much simpler than that. Ahhh it is the simple things that are sometimes the least obvious.
i thought the game was good but a bit short and easy so i could actually do it!!^^ but i did have trouble with the password
eek! i can't get the 3 # password for the toolbox thingie...anyone?
so much better than the Bar, this is indeed a fun game, not too long and not too dificult which makes it a very entertaining game.
Is it just me? I can't seem to get upstairs. Clicking on the stairs just takes me back to the side view of the car.
Hee hee hee. I feel proud of myself. I managed to complete it without looking at a walkthrough or hints or anything! :D
Shuk:

This was definitely easier than The Bar. I actually finished it!
Wow! The first escape the room I did without hints. I love the creators of this game, their games have such great story lines, they seem to go unnoticed. I belive they are what makes the games.
It sounds obvious, but make sure you have javascript enabled..

That's what happened to me, anyway. Otherwise it is pleasantly simple. Just enough thinking to not be boring but without frustration to hinder the adventure....
This one was fun because it was not so hard that you could'nt figure out what to do next. It was way better then The Bar, which I gave up on after 8 hours! Truth be told this was the first one that I did'nt have to use a walkthrough!!! That's always a good thing.
Help I have trouble with the password...I clicked on the magazine, and i scrolled down to the bottom page to Gooparts.com, but i couldnt read japanese...LOST
Hi @ all
Haver a problem with the Key-Generator. I´ve found all hints, but not able to use pocket lamp after switching the lights off. I think there will be a hint on the walls, but i can´t see anything.
PLS Help.
how you know what numbers the signals in the dark are? i have no clue..
ah, sorry, got the game to the end..
That was the easiest escape game ever (a bit boring in fact)
3 mins 24 secs - roughly
does anyone know what the signs on the wall in the dark mean??? would someone please leave a comment telling me? thanks
thanks i finaly found it that was a great help
Well, that was fun.
Short and easy but cool.
Did anyone else notice how cleverly the web page was inserted into the game?
You had to go to their website to get the keys to the car.
Tricky, tricky.
The password doesn't seem to work for me...I go to the site, and it says "GooParts.com" at the bottom, and when I put it in the password prompt, it denies it.
didn't actually find it that easy but it was fun!!!!!
Easy! I liked the bar better..
Originally posted this problem (see above) a few days ago; does ANYBODY have an answer for me???? I hate that EVERYBODY has finished the game and I can't get past this:

rhino, there are a few different factors that could cause something like that to happen. i think your best bet would be to send a message to the author, noting things like browser and OS versions, as well as what version of flash you have installed.
in the meantime, make sure you have the latest version of whatever browser you are using, and the latest version of flash (version 8--although i have successfully played this game with only 7 installed). and trying different browsers never hurts. :)
WHats the key generator code?
Sumojo, you have to make sure...

Hope that helps.
how do u get the torch thing to shine?
trying to enter password from the magazine page and it won't let me! what's up with that?
passw for #1 = NOW
i have no idea where you put that password for #1
what do we do with the srew driver???
Try out the new Il Destino R. You're in the same place but the car is new and things aren't where they used to be...
Check it out if you liked the previous one...

That's about all the spoilers i have. Can't say I've got any further (well - I can't give everything away, can I?) Haven't finished yet though...
Some spoilers for Il Destino R

Upstairs, left side of the cabinet is extention gripper.
Use it for things on top of the cabinet. One is on left side (memory case), one is on right side (battery). Use the battery in poweroutlet behind the left chair. On the desk check blue book. Check right top corner. Pick up cell phone. Use it with battery which is in the poweroutlet. Leave the phone charging. Use extention gripper on the clock an get green something. Pickup charged phone and see it. It send mail. Close it. See the phone again. It say You got mail. See the mail. Look like phone. Click on it. It starts game. The cars appears in this combination. Write the combination. Play game again and write where appear yellow car. This is code for wall. At end show some other 4-place code.
Frenkie: thats about how far I got. I also got two more cristals (or what ever they are) for the strong lock. See my spoilers.

Anyway - I'm stuck here. I can't find any way past here without trying every possible comination on the lock for the toolbox. I tried to scan for numbers but I cant find any significant three numbers.
Also - what about the reflection in the image left of the front door. Seems like something that should have a meaning but I cant see what.
By the way:

You get two potential codes from the game on the mobile.
- One from noting where the yellow cars are in each series
- One from the number of people that have finished the game
I don't know what to do with the second one. The first one seems to open the cabinet in the wall, right of the strong lock, though I don't have any key to end my business with it...
The flashlight is used by:

Its the first escape room i ever solved all by myself!!! cool!!!!

Incredible, if we choose PORTUGUESE at the start, the game comes totaly different and the objects are a lot different, like a different game looking like this english version... Strange!
I had trouble with this, so i googled a walkthrough. But i shall post hints here anyway.
For the flashlight:

I love both these games....I especially love the sequel with the same room and harder puzzles! I love them! Whooooooooooooo hooooooooooooooooooooo!!!

The password to the computer in il destino r is:

another password is ool
My game was doomed from the start since I never got the diary. And I don't think it's a spoiler to name an item you start with, it's a given to help you get moving. Did I get directed to a bugged version or something? Without help from here, there's no way I would've been able to finish.
Fun game... less 'n ten minutes, no hints. :)
You can't really ask "what's the password" for this game because they vary for each player. Just know that it's three letters long -> the three letters that appear as *s on the first page of the magazine. When you click on the second page, and the new window opens up, you have to hover your mouse over the links at the bottom until you find the one that matches the site name you had on the first page, to see what the missing letters are. :)
Not a bad game, much better than TheBar however.
my password was:

I enjoyed this game. I had problems with the password even though I knew what it was. I typed the entire code in but only the *** were necessary. I had to peek.
I liked this game, i figured out a lot on my own but still wouldnt have made it without the walkthrough ;)
My password : HUE
TeeS*** what is the password!! I need Help
Took me a while, but the password I needed to use was 'rld' (GooWorld.jp).
Kind of made it harder to find by the fact that the site I was sent to was in Japanese. I think that the makers of the game should have set up another page with multiple languages for those of us who unfortunately don't speak the programmers mother tongue.
my password was "rts" (Goo-pa"rts".jp)
What does all those question marks mean...
i'm not getting my password
