I got so freaked out by the game... I played it with my younger brother and a couple of friends, but I got too freaked out to play after the help me message. During the dumbwaiter part, when the demon jumped out, my friends screamed so loud, that even though I wasn't even watching I screamed too.

This was a pretty cool game. Not as scary as the "Exmortis" games in my opinion. However that thing that was inside of the dumbwaiter nearly made me piss myself lol.

I played this last year and I hafta admit, I played through squinty eyes! It was still scary!!! OMG, I shat myself! You are a freaky dude! Soooooo, when is the second one coming out! I didn't realized this was released in 2005. Anytime soon? I know you have a life but tell me it's almost finished????!!!!! That you have a date of release???? :-)

How to get the matches:

You must drop spoiled cheese from the fridge, on the floor

Complete Walk Through

1. Turn right from the front door to go to the back of the house.
2. Take the KEY underneath the mat of the back door
3. Turn right and click on the leaves until you uncover a fuse box.
4. Use KEY to open the fuse box and click a few of the fuses to screw them back in, restoring power to the house.
5. Turn right and set the clock to 6:55
6. Turn right and take KEY from the desk drawer with a blue book on it.
7. Go back left to the door you saw the ghost enter.
8. Go into the next door and take the PILLS from the cabinet. (top-right miles pain pills)
9. Turn on the hot water to reveal the message KITCHEN
10. Go back to the main hall and enter your first door, the kitchen.
11. Knock the MATCHES off the top of the refrigerator.
12. Open the fridge and take the CHEESE out and place it to the left of the fridge.
13. A rat comes to eat it and drags along your MATCHES. Grab them.
14. Turn right and click the can of SOUP. Open it.
15. Pour the SOUP into the pot.
16. Open the burner drawer below the Pot. Click the wood in there and light the last match.
17. Take spoon from the sink and use it on the pot.
18. Turn to the kitchen table area and click onto the CRANK next to the plan.
19. Place CRANK inside the hole in the wall on the right side of the screen. Now Turn the crank.
20. Leave the kitchen and go back to the first office room you were in.
21. Look at the RADIO in the room. Click the left knob once and the middle knob 5 times.
22. Click the picture twice showing a date 11-05-39.
23. Click on the big picture next to the doctors diplomas, revealing a safe.
24. Enter the date 11-05-39 to unlock the safe.
25. Open the safe and click on the Ouija board revealing the message GO UPSTAIRS.
26. Exit back to the main hall.
27. Go forward twice and click the hallway to the left of the two doors.
28. Go up the stairs and click on the door.

i set the clock on the time and then a ghost appeared and showed me the room to go into i did but the only thing i found was a profile of the girl and a lock i still dont know what the code is or what blue book im supose to find somewhere?the only book i found was the bible?this is a very freaky but fun game!!!i give thumbs up for who ever made this!!!!u r so smart~

ok i just finished the game but the only thing is i thought the monster thingie wasnt scary liek some people had said it was..but the other things that happened was lol and like i got it all done and got to the stairs and stuff but the only thing i still dont understand is why you gives sp much clues and pictures and stuff that has to do with spells and the ouji board if it doesnt even show anything at the end except go upstairs i think there should be more to the clues, revealing more about the death and stuff. Besides that i believe the game was really cool! i like how the place is made and the music~Grate Job!!!

You will find the code to the safe by turn on the radio, and change channels and the picture frame will brake, behind the picture you`ll find the code, good luck ;)

I have this thing with playing spooky games, and then exiting half-way through.

And then waiting for someone braver to come home and watch them play it over their shoulder.

The origami animal in the dumbwaiter, and the picture changing on the file of the little girl.

It was entertaining, I'll give it that, and I can't wait for a second part.

what a freaky little game!! i got through some of it but then my laptop mesteriously crashed.... how scary!! i aint playing again.

Help me please, I found the crank, but when I try to put it in the hole in the wall, the crank disappears and then I have to start the game all over again, so I'm stuck. How do you put the crank in the hole?

Nevermind the previous question, I succeeded with the crank, now I'm stuck at the safe, I don't know how to enter the combination (I know the code, but I don't know how to enter it, do you have to go back to zero every time you put a number)?

for all of you who are stuck and cant get upstairs even after you've done all the stuff, its because you haven't opened the dumbwaiter, or opened it BEFORE you put the crank in the hole and turned it. i know this because your main character says different things when you look up the dumbwaiter after opening it without putting the crank in and turning it first.
anyway what the hell, its a great game!:)

oh my...i just played the game and i did everything and didn't get to the upstairs door and so i read about the

I got all the way to the end, like when you go to the hallway door. I followed everything the walkthrough said, but i couldn't get into the door. My brother pressed the water control room before we got to the door; would that screw us up Jay?

[Edit: This is the standard question that keeps getting asked over, and over. Look through the comments and I believe you will find your answer. -Jay]

theomina [or anyone else wondering about how to enter the combination in the safe]:

After you have the combination, make sure the dial is at zero. Then, turn it to the right (by clicking near the numbers) to the first number. It should show you what number you are at at the bottom of the screen. Then, turn it to the left (by clicking on the middle of the dial) until you get to the second number. Then, turn it back to the right until you get to the third number. You should hear something (a click, the character saying something, etc.). Back up, so you are still looking at the safe, but from a normal view, and click on the handle to the right of the dial.
Note: This safe lock doesn't work like a normal pad lock would, but if you follow my directions exactly, it should work.

The hot water should already work in the bathroom, it's the cold water that's off. Hot is on the left. ;)

You might want to check the walkthrough above, reading it from the beginning, until you get to a step that you haven't done yet. There isn't a key for alot of rooms, but you have to do certain things that trigger the doors' unlocking. (Most, if not all of them have to do with the ghosts/demons.)

You won't get fully upstairs in this episode, so don't get too excited. There is only one ending, and that is, "To be continued...", as far as I know.

If you think this game is awesome, check out Exmortis. It has a sequel too, and a third one coming out soon, but it leaves you with a much more satisfiying ending than " to be contined"

BTW, I can't find the fuse box! I know where to look, but it's not there! Grr...

Omgosh!! The game is wicked but we are really stuck, we've done everything including the ouigi board telling us to go upstairs, but whenever we try to, all it says is door locked...and we've looked everywhere for more keys! Please help...hints and tips appreciated.

My son and I are playing this game and we have been stuck for hours now. We cannot find the door that has the pain pills in it. Everytime we go to the door where the little girl's ghost was, we only find that room that has the safe in it. What are we doing wrong? If you have the time, could you please help us as we love playing video games together but this one has become a little frustrating for the both of us.

The door with the pills in is

in the room with the safe in. Keep clicking around and you'll see a white door with no glass in. The door you came in through has a glass window, this door doesn't. Click the handle and enter.

i still can't open the safe even by doing what the person said the code is 11-05-39 right?

To open the safe,

you have to first click on it to zoom on the combination thing. You will see '1' at the bottom of the screen, and BEFORE it disappears you have to go to 11. Then let 11 disappear, and go to 5. Once 5 disappears go to 39

hello guys!!! this game it realy rules!!! i dont know why but.. i cant open the upstairs door... it says that the key i found it doesnt belong to that door!! :@:@ grrrrr.... so... what do i have to do?? and... when is the second part comes??? i cant wait!!!

okay, I have done everything it say to do, I have gone back and monkeyed around even in the other rooms again but every time I go in the stair well to go in the upstairs room, the door will not open... it says it's locked, I am getting extremely aggrivated and annoyed. I am ready to scream. Can someone help me pleaze!!!! I have done every little thing and it won't let me in!!!

okay, so I re-played it from the beginning following the walk through, and this time i was able to get into the upstairs. I think what may have happened was either I did things out of sequence or I don't think I waited for the oujia board to say goodbye, because I never saw the part where the little girl was outside the door.

seriously... will there ever be a second part of this game? i'm beginning to get quite impatient, and i'm losing hopes to see the mystery solved...

Well... I've been trying to figure this out all day long. I Followed the Walkthrough but... I think there's a step missing. In the tools room, where the pipes are located too, I found a paper behind a grille after removing a white coat. Does that even work ? I really don't know what is this used for... I'm a bit confused too. Hope to have a quick answer and love you all ! xD

this is a great game i know 2 other games that are kinda as good as this
1. crimson room { the only problem with this game is im pretty clever and i still havnt worked out to get out yet }
2. the darkness and the darkness 2 { now the grpahics are pretty rubish but by god the game can get a bit addictive i have finnished both and if anyone dose go on it and needs help tell me }
there is one more but i forgotten the name i shall post another comment soon telling u what it is becuase its really bloomin scary

man the game is so awsome but i wish they would hurry up and finish the second one ive been playing this game for a long time (like one day then the next but theres usally time between) and it took me forever to figure out how to get upstairs

Wow, GREAT game... can't wait for part two. Wasn't too too jumpy, but great suspense building, especially

when you open the dumbwaiter in the kitchen... the game wasn't insanely jumpy scary, but when that demon came out my brothers and I screamed reaaaaaal good.

just to help those that can't find the fuse box, go to the LEFT and click on the wall with the vines on it till you uncover the fuse box.

omg I freakin screamed when in the kitchen it jumped out at me and i was on the phone! i scream REALLY loud too, and high, and my friend laughed sooo hard!i'm making her play it now and see if she screams
