Anita's Job is tracking down the missing luggage of a local tourist who arrived on a cruise ship, and in this point-and-click puzzle adventure by Carmel Games, you'll need to help her scour the island to find it, unless you want to be held financially responsible... or, well, give up your tacky desktop hula girl souvenir in compensation, apparently? You'll travel to several different locations around the island looking for not only the luggage, but the items you need to solve puzzles and even grease the wheels, so to speak, since not everyone is able or willing to help Anita out. As you might expect from Carmel Games, Anita's Job is on the very short side, but weird in a good way, with eccentric characters and a kooky bent to its mostly logical puzzles, and a groan-worthy pun to round things out in the end.

Nothing too difficult there, everything used in fairly logical places.
can't wait for this :)
Anita's Job Walkthrough
Cruise Line Office
Take the MAGNET.
Lido Inn
Talk to the receptionist.
He's not being very helpful. We might have to come back later.
Wishing Well
Take the PRUNING SHEARS.
There seems to be something inside the Big Tree, but we can't reach it.
Use the MAGNET, and get the SCREWDRIVER.
Island's Pier
Take the BROKEN MIRROR.
Apparently, the shrubbery could use some pruning.
Use the PRUNING SHEARS to reveal the communication box.
Looks like we'll need a tool to open this.
Use the SCREWDRIVER.
Good thing it's this easy to disrupt communications for the entire town! Maybe now we can distract that receptionist?
Flip the left switch to turn off communications to the Lido Inn.
Lido Inn
Now that the receptionist's distracted, let's rob him blind.
Take the AXE.
There's something blinking in the receptionist's backpack. How can we get a closer look?
Use the BROKEN MIRROR.
Hmm, these two seem made for each other. Looks like a devil's food cake would be useful, though.
Steak Hut
Take the BUCKET.
Talk to the bartender.
He says he can help us with the cake, but not for free. Where can we find some money?
Wishing Well
The bucket could be useful in the well, but we need to tie something to it first.
Maybe one of those vines?
Use the AXE to cut a VINE.
Tie the VINE to the BUCKET.
Throw the BUCKET into the well to obtain the COINS.
Steak Hut
Give the COINS to the bartender and get the CAKE.
Lido Inn
Give the CAKE to the receptionist and get the SUITCASE.
Cruise Line Office
Give the SUITCASE to the customer and enjoy the terrible pun.
I have to confess, I'm a bit disappointed. I expect a Carmel Games game to be loonier. Strangely, I even missed hearing the "This doesn't work" over and over, so I deliberately used the axe on the well a couple of times; heh, I guess I can never complain about that again.
Apparently you're nicer than me. I tried using it on the receptionist.
