The Several Journeys of Reemus is a point-and-click game with a medieval fantasy setting from talented flash artist Zeebarf. Wanna-be hero Reemus must put a stop to a local infestation of giant ants, armed with only his dubious wits, a kickin' handlebar mustache, and his faithful purple bear sidekick Liam. By applying your skill at pointing, clicking, and problem solving, you must guide Reemus unscathed to the final confrontation with the towering ant queen.

Click Reemus. When he walks up to the blue toad, click the ant by the button to kill it. Continue on to the next scene.

At the next scene, the ant queen will look at you. Click reemus to jump in its mouth. End of path 1. Enjoy.

Path 2.

This is more complex. Click Reemus. When he walks up to the blue toad, click the crumb that the ant dropped. You will feed it to the toad, who the ant says "ok" your able to walk past. You should still have the spear.

In the next scene, with the Ant queen's open mouth, click the Sponge rock in the bottem right. you will pry it loose with the spear.

Click the firebug 4 times. This will feed water to the sponge rock.

Click the Sponge rock to feed it to the ant queen.
Enjoy the ending.

There you go folks... A probably bad walkthrough. But its my first... so what can I say.

How to Restore Power to a Seasonarium

A Seasonarium is traditionally powered by two battery-flies. They tend to hide out inside brambles, or behind cliff faces. Direct them to the appropriate slots inside the season dial to power it up.

How to Get Rid of Brambles

The best way to get rid of brambles that block your way is to burn them away. Find a flint rock near your feet and throw it at a flint stalactite above the brambles. This will only be effective in the warmest of temperatures; otherwise there will be too much moisture for a proper spark.

How to Use Sand Tongues As A Ladder

Smear Iron Berry juice on the berries' iron stems. (The berries are juiciest in summer; Blue Fuzzerpillars are the natural predators of the small insects that drain the berries of their juice.) Lower the room temperature as much as you can before allowing the tongues to lick off the juice; they will stick fast.

Page 2

How to Land on a Sponge Rock

Sponge Rocks are very hard. If one is stuck in the ceiling, lure a horned slug close with flowers, then give it a scare to jar the rock loose. Make sure it's in position, then pour water on it and it will puff out and become appropriately soft.

How to Take Out an Eye Trap

Use a Water Drop Cannon to jar a piece of crystal loose from the ceiling and reflect light into the Eye Trap's eye. To use a Water Drop Cannon, make sure it's pointing in the right direction, then heat the end of one of its roots to make it shoot. (You may need to pull on a root to get the end sufficiently close to the source of heat.)

Page 3

How to Break Down a Cliffside

An Acid Chicken will always lay an egg when it hears a Man-Eating Bat shriek. Frog Beasts love these eggs, and will eat them with the help of Clamp Vines, which they are natural friends with. Toss a rock into the Clamp Vine's grasp with proper timing, and the Frog Beast will spit out the rock, ideally knocking the Man-Eating Bat down on the cliffside and breaking it down.

How to Stop a Man-Eating Bat

Look for a loose stalactite on the ceiling, like maybe the one the bat was hanging from. Jar it loose, and it should fall and kill the bat.

Page 4

How to Kill an Ant Guard

Light a torch and heat a blue poison spore until it boils. The liquid should burst out and douse the guard, killing it.

How to Get Past an Ant Inspector

Ant inspectors use taste-test beasts to check the quality of their food, and they never look at anything but your head. Wear a dead ant's head over your own to disguise yourself, and swipe a crumb from another ant's gift to fool the taste-test beast.

How to Kill an Ant Queen

NEVER approach an Ant Queen without a weapon, such as a spear, in hand. There are two traditional methods for killing the queen. One is to march into the queen's mouth and kill her from within; the other is to fill a sponge rock with as much blue spore poison as you can find, then chuck it into the queen's mouth. The latter method is preferred by legendary insect exterminators.

I like this one!
I've got to stage three, so here's some tips for the second stage...

You need the sponge to make a cushion to jump on. So tempt the horned bug with flowers, then scare him and both will drop into the reservoir below

The reservoir needs to be full, so light up the Firebug, and the watery fruits will ripen. Adjust the pipe to channel the juices into the reservoir, then milk that bug!

Once you've jumped, the watchful eye needs blinding. Shoot the topmost crystal twice and a shard will do the trick. Onwards!

Hope that helps. Great game!

I need help with level two.

I can aim the 'cannon' but can't make it fire. Clicking the fire bug does nothing. Help!

Reply

Level 2 walkthrough:

Click the four tiny gray buds near Reemus to make flowers.

Click the horned bug near Remus. He'll hop on the ledge with the flowers.

Click Reemus. He scares the bug, and the bug and the sponge rock fall in the crater.

Click the orange bug near the bottom right, and it bursts into flame. A large flying bug is summoned to drink from the things on the ceiling.

Click the hinged part of the green chute-like plant so it bends.

Click the flying bug. It squirts water into the chute plant, which goes into the crater. The sponge rock is now wet. If the water falls the wrong way, you didn't bend the plant.

Click Reemus. He hops down below, and the eyeball opens.

You need to close the eye, as it is part of the carnivorous plant. Click the vine-like object on the ground under the firebug. It will change position.

Click the pod-shaped object behind Reemus ONCE. It should point up. Note this pod has three positions it can be placed.

Click the fire bug. The pod should fire at the crystal on the ceiling. If it fires anywhere else, you need to adjust the pod again. Remember, you need it to point up.

Once you've hit the crystal, shoot it a second time. A shard of crystal will fall and land in the sponge rock, and the reflected light will blind the eye.

Click Reemus to continue to the next section.

Level 3 Walkthrough

Click Reemus's head. He hops on the snail.

Click the snail. After a few moments, the walkway collapses and Reemus falls in the snot.

The next two steps require careful timing.
When the ant drops a rock on the pile in the background, click the green bat-thing to scare the bird. It lays an egg, and a claw thing retracts to grab it.
When the claw pauses before grabbing the egg, but before the ant grabs his rock, click the rock. The claw grabs the rock, feeds it to the monster in the background, spits it at the bat, who falls and collapses the ledge. Whew!

Click Reemus to climb the Ledge.

The bat has you! Click the stalactite above the bat (he was hanging from it) to finish it off. Note you can't click the stalactite until the bat grabs Reemus. Onto level 4!

Level 4 Walkthrough (may not be the only solution)

Click the unlit torch near Reemus. He grabs it.

Click the lit torch to light your torch.

Click the mushroom thing in the ledge above Reemus. It bursts, and squirts juice in the ant-guard's face, killing it.

Click the dead ant to burn away the ledge. The ant's body falls at Reemus's feet.

Click the ant head. You have a disguise!

Click the spear. Now you really look like an ant.

Click Reemus. He walks up to the inspector.

Click the inspector. He is now dead. Reemus walks into the background.

Reemus is confronted with the ant queen. Click Reemus, and he kills the queen with a single reckless attack.

You have earned the title of "Reckless"! Congratulations!

Let me know if anyone finds an alternate solution to level 4. I feel like there must be at least one more, if not two.

Dang. You beat me to it while I was formatting.

Reply

If you don't have the

spear from the ant above you when you go to the ant queen, you must jump into her mouth. This makes you "Reckless"

If you do have it, then you

pry up the sponge, click the fire bug thing 4 times, click the sponge, and throw it into the queens mouth to poison her. This makes you "Legendary"

Is it too much to ask for a goal, or at least a hint of a goal, in each scene? How am I supposed to know there's an entrance hidden inside a green carrot, but I can't just walk across the ground?

Click a random rock which floats into my hand, then I throw it across the room and say, "It's not dry enough to catch fire" is not a good puzzle. The whole thing is full of them, and that's one of the more acceptable ones.

Good puzzles are when you know what you need to do, but have to be clever to accomplish it, or think laterally to get around it.

I only ask for internal logic, and a clear goal. Reasons why normal activities (such as just walking past the green carrot to the right) can't be done would be cool, too.

Reply

At the very end of part one, after clicking Remus, click on the compass while he's hopping. The hopping annimation will continue, but the toungs will... Retract.

Reply

I would reason it's too far to say that the puzzles are not logical. Indeed, the design of the first puzzle is genius, but that doesn't mean the rest of the scenes will put you completely up into the air; they may be less genius yet they are still of good quality and reasonable. Also, if only puzzles that are logic can be regarded as good, then you probably won't say Day of the Tentacle being good while everyone knows it's a classic.

Heya, I'm having a bit of trouble. When I

click any rock, nothing happens. Help?

Reply

The puzzles may seem illogical because you're in a fantasy land where things are much different with unique plants and animals, but when you think about and learn on what things do, it's not so bad. I slowly inched through each step until I finally got it, but got totally stuck where

the Ant Queen smashed him w/ or w/out the spear...

Had to use the walkthrough a few times and spent a long time trying to figure things out, but it's do able without the walkthrough.

Graphics were likable and the music was nice. I like the story and the characters.

Anon: What rock? You mean at level 3? You should be able to click the rock when the bat thing grabs his leg. That threw me off as well.

Reply
Anonymous December 1, 2008 4:20 PM

on the last level, to get legendary, you have to first click on the cake that the ant is giving the blue blob, than you grab the torch nearest to you, light it with the other torch, and click on the far right mushroom above you to squirt juice at the ant, killing it, next you click the ant, and than click on the head and the spear. Next you click on Reemus, and than you click on the crum left by the cake, you will get ok'd and you move on to the next screen. the first thing you do is click on the rock sponge, than click on the little fire guy until the sponge rock has absorbed two times, click on the rock, than click again on the rock and you kill the queen earning you legendary

Reply

First of all, there is a third way to get past the fourth stage.

You leave the ant head but take the spear, then when you approach the inspector you just stab him, then the ant jumps off the cliff and you cruise on to the queen. She notices you're a human and tries to smash you but your spear blocks her, then you jump in her mouth and get the reckless ending.

BUT my real question is, when you get the legendary ending it tells you that you have one bonus mission to play, how do you get to it?!

Reply

how do you get to the bonus level?!

Reply

Do you mean the message from the king? That is in:

The Several Journeys of Reemus - Chapter One.

the sponge needs to change color before you pick it up after the water has saturated it. Also, it is the second crumb that falls from the cake that you feed to the inspector toad.

It was AWFUL! I had to use the walkthrough for every single chapter after busting my head against a wall for ten minutes on each one! D:<
The music was repetitive and annoying, the puzzles made no logical sense, the "Help" from Liam sort of dried up by the second puzzle, and more often than not what you had to click on to advance the game was either something tiny that I didn't notice, or something big that was ONLY available to click at a specific time! It was aggravating, frustrating and annoying. I didn't like the gore and violence in his first game, but hells bells! At least I didn't need someone to hold my hand through the whole thing!
