Cute game, I love the aliens. I did get a lot of lag in chrome, and I found it annoying that my character wasn't centered in the screen. I was always too far to the right, meaning that I couldn't really see what was ahead.
cute! cruising right along... of course a few deaths... mechanics are clean... then "bam", a power outage (typical for the maine woods) and i kost all progress *sigh* :(
Slow on firefox too, despite the very basic graphics. zzz
I wanted to like it so much, but the pixel-sensitivity of the jumps are what killed it for me. When you have to get the dog "standing" out in space, with one pixel of his ankle touching the previous block, to complete the jump, you need to rethink things.
Thought it was just me but in reading comments I'm not alone. Lots of lag in Chrome which surprised me due to the simple graphics. Like the game but not the lag.
Additionally, the lag when jumping over or avoiding, or even killing the aliens contributed to my doggie's death a number of times
now that i had some to play it, i'll agree with the above opinions about lag time and having to step out into space before actually jumping...
i love a great platform game but this was a bit wonky with controls... sigh...
I stopped level 6, some jumps are just ridiculously pixel-play, and since the game lags the dog sometime does not jump as high as it should, causing a sure death. For the lag, blame flash and blame developers for using it.
As said, this is an "old-school platforming" piece. Wouldn't worry about lags and precision pixel jumps if one had played Manic Miner or Three Weeks in Paradise on a ZX Spectrum. So, as such, it is quite a treat for old timers. Minus some few glitches, like jumping off a roof and instead of landing on the path tiles, falling in the water. Finished all levels and now going for highest possible score.
What's the point of having limited lives if you have checkpoints? That's just annoying.
