Who says fire and water can't mix? Our two elemental protagonists probably shouldn't hug, but together they make for yet another challenging installment in the much-loved puzzle platforming series that blends speed and brains! With portals thrown into the mix, taking top rank and nabbing all the gems will be harder than ever, but you'll love every minute of it.

Fireboy and Watergirl 4: The Crystal Temple Walkthrough

  • Basic Mechanics

    • Use the arrow keys to move Fireboy and W A D to move Watergirl.

    • Water will kill Fireboy, lava will kill Watergirl, and the green slime will kill both of them.

    • Fireboy moves faster on ice but cannot climb slopes. Watergirl moves slower on ice but can climb slopes.

    • Fireboy can collect red gems; Watergirl can collect blue gems.

    • Portals can teleport Fireboy, Watergirl, and blocks to a corresponding portal.

      • Lights at the tops and bottoms of each portal are colored to show the connected pairs.

      • There is a white and black side to each portal: entering the white side will take you to the white side of the other portal and vice versa.

    • To successfully complete a level, both characters must stand at their matching colored doors.

      • To get an "A" score for any level, you must beat it under the designated time shown and collect all of the gems.

      • You will earn a "B" score if you fail to collect all of the gems but finish under the A time frame, or if you collect all the gems but complete the level too slowly.

      • You will receive a "C" if you do not collect all the gems and you do not finish the level under the A time frame.

      • In diamond levels (Levels 7, 9, 13, 18, 24, 27, 34, 36, and 38), you must collect the silver diamond with either Fireboy or Watergirl before exiting the level or you will receive an "F" and the level will remain incomplete.

  • How to Use This Walkthrough

    • The levels are numbered from 0 to 38 according to this chart. The numbers can be viewed by hovering your cursor over "Number Levels" on the level selection screen.

    • The levels do not need to be completed sequentially according to number: you can play any level that is connected directly to a level you have already completed. The numbers are used primarily for organization.

    • On each level, the path for Fireboy is marked in red and the path for Watergirl is marked in blue. For times when Fireboy and Watergirl are traveling together, purple is used instead. A thin white line is used to mark where to move blocks.

    • If a button needs to be pressed or a switch needs to be flipped, there will be a circle and a number on the path. If a switch needs to be flipped more than once, there will be multiple numbers by the circle.

    • The paths shown do not necessarily show the way to collect all the gems, only how to get to the final doors. If it is a diamond level, the path to the diamond will be shown.

Great game so far, but is it just my computer, or does it occasionally lag a little?

No, it tends to lag.

I'm concerned that they're just repeating things now.

loved it! this would have been a 5 star game for me if it hadn't started to lag so terrible by the last 7 levels... so badly that i finally had to give it up... tis a pity :(

Is there a reason it blatantly steals voices and sounds from Zelda?
