Weekday Escape N°49 It's time we start thinking BIG. Consider how much you love playing escape games then think on this: wouldn't the world be a better place if everything was solved like an escape-the-room? While pondering that, let's play an unassumingly clever ocean-themed escape from Amakuchi Game, pick up seven cherries in FunkyLand's 13th kitchen, then address some supernatural occurrences with Sneedle.

Weekday Escape N°33 This week's escapers' curation contains some reliable standards as well as a few surprises from FunkyLand, Yomino Kagura, and Sneedle (teamed with No1Game). It comes with a money-back guarantee to please whether you like looking for fruits in a whimsical kitchen or would rather stick to pure puzzling simplicity or prefer a point-and-click style adventure with bewildering charm.

Reisen series The Reisen series catalogues the tale of a small red-headed girl named Jitter, who recently lost her parents to the war (World War II, I think) and wants to go see her grandmother. This is easier said than done, as she is confined to a bunker far away from where her grandma lives. If she wants to make the journey, she'll have to be cunning and resourceful, doing everything from trekking through dark forests to pole-vaulting over deep water to getting guards drunk. This is a series with good points and bad points, like many others. The visuals are relatively unimpressive, the puzzles are okay in the logic department, and pixel-hunting can get annoying, although it gets much more tolerable later in the series. What really makes it worth playing, though, is the story.
