Sugar, Sugar: The Christmas Special
Sleigh bells ring, are you listening? In the Bart Bonte game, sugar's glistening. A beautiful sight, we're puzzling tonight, playing Sugar, Sugar: The Christmas Special.
Similar in concept and execution to the original Sugar, Sugar: guide particles of sugar to several cup targets, with some complications along the way such as color-changing dyes and gravity switching buttons, and all with a Christmas theme that's as sweet and cheery as a mug of hot cocoa. Like its predecessor, it requires a decent amount of patience, so consider this a warm-up for waiting to open your presents.
The link is broken - it has a " at the end.
[Thanks, fixed. -mod]
@Setia: That's only if you click the picture. Try the play button.
I'm not sure how anyone else is doing 16, but I
have an elaborate infinite loop where the crystals all have about a 50% chance of dropping toward the blue or purple cup, and then at the cup about a 50% chance of dropping into the cup or toward the colour-changer. This means that a lot of white and wrong-coloured sugar crystals get into each cup, but eventually they will each be filled with their own colour.

Would love to hear about alternate solutions.
I loved the first one, and I'm so glad Bonte has produced a sequel. I do wish the music would change up a little though, it does get annoying after a while. Otherwise, I enjoyed the use of Christmas-themed imagery as a way to carve a sugary course of gameplay.
Really liked the first one, had to try this one right away. And played through the whole thing. (Please make more.) Cute theme, made some of the levels a little more challenging, too. These and Factory Balls are amoung our favourites in this house, both grownups and kids.
Argh, lost my typekey password and, as always, having a nightmare getting logged back in again.
ANYWAY!!
What I find so wonderful about the Sugar Sugar series (and it is now a series thank Bod!) is the really clean and clear design that is such a departure from pretty much all of Bart Bonte's games but which clarifies the player's thoughts so much.
I love his other games (factory balls probably the most) but Sugar Sugar is in such a different league and such a beauty to play!
Thank you Bart!
Great game, but unfortunately for me, level 26(?) was too much for my wee brain. Solid 4 stars though, a 'skip level' button would make it a 5 IMO.
@ Parmeisan: For level 16
it may be faster to do each cup, one at a time. First create a path into the blue cup, then divert directly above the blue cup into the purple changer and into that cup. You'll still get blue sand into the purple cup, but it may be an easier solution.
@Parmeisan
This is how I did lvl 16:
You don't need white sugar at all for this level. Feed all directly into the teal filter. Direct it more towards the left, until you fill the cup. Block off the cup and feed into purple filter. As it comes back to the top, cut off your path into the teal cup and direct towards the purple cup.

Now I'm stuck on level 23.
Finished it!
@Anon - There are only 24 levels
Oh, that is so much easier! I was trying to do the purple cup first but then directing it into the teal one became impossible. Somehow I came up with my looping monstrosity before trying to do the teal cup first... heh.
(Maybe this has something to do with the fact that I'm an engineer... how very typical of me...)
Anyone else think this one shoulda been called "Snow, Snow" ?
I'm stuck on level 4!
stuck on level 4
help
I'm stuck on level 4 - HELP!
@Shooter101 -
First fill the top left cup (there is a hole in the floor that goes to a hole in the ceiling not far from that cup).
Then fill the rightside cup...then the middle.
Here are some screenshots to help out:
Screenshot: first fill the left cup
Screenshot: then fill cup on the right
Screenshot: fill the middle cup last
