Sagrario's Room Escape

Weekday Escape

JessAll room escape games have secrets. Some room escapes, however, keep their cards especially close to their chests, relinquishing their grasp bit by bit; these are sometimes the most frustrating, and often the most intriguing. Sagrario's Room Escape is such a game, and a superb one at that.

Sagrario's Room EscapeThe first thing you'll probably notice is how very bare the room seems. Designer Valentin Sagrario has chosen a decidedly minimalist aesthetic; the small, warmly beige space contains nothing but a door, a chair, a picture and a metal briefcase. Well... that's not entirely true. Upon a second glance, you might begin to perceive small, easily overlooked details: the faint outlines of panels against one wall, a scrap of paper, a loose floorboard. Once you really begin to look, you'll be astonished at how much this ostensibly near-empty room does, in fact, hold; the simplicity of the space belies the true complexity of the puzzles contained within.

Ah, the puzzles. Sagrario's inventiveness is definitely impressive; the number, quality and variety of puzzles are top-notch. I experienced more than a few wonderful "aha!" flashes of sudden insight; those sorts of moments are the mark of a really great escape game, one that effectively straddles the line between logic and perplexity. Notable is that maybe more than any other room escape, Sagrario's Room makes great usage of the inventory; you'll find yourself frequently combining items, manipulating and using them in multiple fashions. This is probably a byproduct of the relative spareness of the room itself, and one that I really enjoyed.

As excellent as Sagrario's Room is, a few areas could use some tweaking. First, while it's not terribly excessive, there are a few instances of frustrating pixel-hunting. The interface can be a little bit annoying, as it's not possible to change views while an object is selected; this doesn't make sense, and ultimately just results in a lot of excess clicking. Some sort of soundtrack would have been nice, and would have really added to the room's overall atmosphere. Finally, I had a difficult time identifying a couple of the collected items, which (especially considering how important the inventory is) at times significantly delayed my progress. For this reason I suggest, when stuck, trying to combine everything with everything else; even if A and B do not appear to have any relationship, using one with the other might be a vital step in escaping.

These minor complains aside, Sagrario's Room is really wonderful. The game's graphics are some of the best in any room escape, comparable to the sublime Vision; for that reason, even this minimally decorated space appears elegant and chic. The puzzles are creative, complex and extremely enjoyable. Oh! One more thing: although there's not an actual save button, the game remembers your progress and, upon your return, gives you the option to continue or begin a new game. As Sagrario's Room is quite long and difficult, the existence of this feature is a relief, and also bespeaks the professionalism of the game's creator.

Polished, perplexing and profoundly entertaining: a near-perfect escape game.

Walkthrough Guide

Sagrario's Room Walthrough
Since the codes in this game are randomized I've explained how to get and use the codes rather than just what code to punch in.

  • Look behind the briefcase for a key.

  • Turn left and open the left panel. Collect the test tube.

  • Turn left and look under the lawn chair from the left for a note on how to open the right panel.

  • Look at the chair from the other side to find a battery.

  • Turn left and look at the picture. Look at the bottom left corner for a battery and a place to put the key.

  • Open the picture and collect the key.

  • Use the new key to open the briefcase, by clicking on the latches with the key.

  • Collect the folder, the swiss army knife, the laser pointer, and the cube.

  • Use the corkscrew on the swiss army knife to open the tube with the note, this code will be used soon.

  • Zoom in on the outlet on the wall with the panels.

  • Use the knife to pry off the cover, and the screwdriver on the swiss army knife unscrew the outlet.

  • Collect the third battery.

  • Put the three batteries into the laser pointer.

  • The laser pointer will give you the code for the safe, XX being the number that was on the paper in the tube.

  • The safe will open automatically once you get the code right. If it doesn't work one direction try the other. You do not have to pass 0 every time like on traditional locks.

  • Get the ratchet and the radio.

  • Move the switches on the radio until it only players the higher tone. Each switch is one beep.

  • Collect the note, and use the swiss army knife to pry off the magnet from the speaker.

  • Use the ratchet to unscrew the bolts from the chair.

  • Put the magnet on the bottom of the ratchet, then stich the ratchet in each of the holes left from the chair, you should get 4 batteries.

  • Now it's time to open up the right panel. As per the directions on the note from under the chair, just hold the button for 10 seconds.

  • Collect the gold bar.

  • Face the safe, in the bottom left corner there is a loose panel. Place the gold bar on it and then cut the string that you see using the knife.

  • Pick up the gold bar, remove the panel, and get the black light.

  • Place the 4 batteries into the black light.

  • Now that we've got all the tools we need it's time to work on getting the keys for the lockbox in the briefcase. Start with the left panel.

  • You'll see 7 buttons that change color when pressed. If you use the blacklight on them you will notice it looks like a piano.

  • Look at the briefcase, you'll see a logo with four letters all with a color. These corrospond to the piano keys.

  • From left to right the order of the keys is C D E F G A B. Match the colors with the letters it gave you on the panel and it should give you the key.

  • Next lets work on the right panel. You'll see a keypad with 9 buttons and one larger button.

  • To start press the button and write down the order of the colors on the lights above the keys.

  • This is the order in which you will enter the codes. To find the code use the blacklight on the colored cube in your inventory.

  • Match the pattern of the die on the panel, for each color. After you enter all six it should give you the key.

  • Now the third panel is a bit more work. To locate it face the wall with the briefcase and use your black light.

  • All you need to do here is push the right eight buttons. You already have the first four, on the note you got from inside the radio.

  • Across the top of the pad are letters, A,B,C,D. And the numbers go down the side, 4,3,2,1. So the top left button is A4, and the bottom right button is D1.

  • You'll need a notepad for this part. There are 4 codes hidden around the room that you need the blacklight for. One is in the outlet, one is in the safe, one is in the floor where you got the black light, and the other is on the gold bar in your inventory. Write the four codes down. You should organize them in this order, GO, OD, LU, CK.

  • Open up the envelope you got from the briefcase. GOOD LUCK. Look familiar? Use the black light on the GOOD LUCK, and you will see the letters are connected.

  • The G is connected to the D, the first O to the C, the second O to the U, and L and K are connected to each other. Using the codes you wrote down from around the room you will need to mix and match. The codes you wrote down all have 2 letters = a letter and a number. For example, GO=A4. In this case G=A and O=4. OD=C4, O=C and D=4. Since G and D are connected it would make A4. Using this formula mix and match the codes until instead of GO, OD, LU, CK, you have GD, OC, OU, LK.

  • The new codes you just made are the missing four codes from the note in the radio.

  • Once you put in the code the key will be given to you.

  • Use all three keys in the lockbox inside the briefcase.

  • Get the door handle.

  • Use the door handle on the door.

  • Leave!

another great escape game
the picture that jess post is quite spooky
it make me think that a ghost may apear anytime= ="
(actually the whole mood too...)

maybe I'm completely dense (or maybe it has something to do with my Microbiology test), but I am having trouble inputting the combination. I have

the paper that tells what "XX" is and I have the laser pointer working,

but I've been trying to put in the combination in multiple ways...any help?

I'm having trouble with the right panel. Can someone give me an example of how their puzzle works, please? I have all the colors and numbers I need, I think, and I just don't understand what I'm doing wrong.

With the radio, no matter how I move the switches, the beeps sound the same. What's the trick to finding the right setting? Do I have to try all 7^5 (16807) combinations?

davidh

I've been having trouble with the right panel.

The one that has to do with the cube.

I have all the info I need, but I don't think I understand how to input it. Could someone please give me an example of how theirs worked?

davidh:

Try moving one at a time and pressing play with each move. Pretty quickly you'll find the right setting for the first one (the first beep will sound different). Do the same with the rest and you're all set.

I don't get the radio at all.

I tried setting it one switch at a time, but the beeps change. For example, I had it going "high high high low low" and then I adjusted the fourth (3k) switch, and suddenly it was "high high low low low." I can achieve at least one high beep with the switches in pretty much ANY position.

I can't seem to figure out the safe. I have the combination, but it's not working, no matter which way I try it. Maybe I've forgotten how a safe lock works, lol.

Nevermind about the safe. I figured it out basically as soon as I posted my query, argh.

A bit too difficult for me - the final puzzle would have taken a long time without the walkthrough!

Great looking game though, even if the inventory was a bit annoying.

Ahren:

once you have the order of your colors, use the blakc light on the die, and then copy the patterns.
for example is blue is first and blue is one, you just need to put 1 dot in the center. Then you hit the big button and move into the next number/color. That make sense?

Ls:

Try moving all the the switches as low as they will go, and move them up one notch at a time, listen to see if the beeps change. If there is a high beep move onto the next switch. But remember that the lowest point might be the right spot for one or possibly more switches

I can't open the safe, even though I have the code. How is it supposed to work?

Nevermind, Power Of Posting, like darlingdestruction.

I couldn't get the safe to work either, I had a '0' as one of the numbers. I started a new game, got different non-zero numbers and it worked.

Now I'm stuck as to how to enter the code on the right panel. I've tried several methods. Can anyone give me a clue?

BTW, how come the "Update" link doesn't appear anymore under the comments here? I've checked the page's source code, it's still there but I don't see it.

Oops, didn't see Kero's comment.

help! I still don't understand the right panel puzzle! :[

Mmmmh, got a problem with last panel:

I've got GO=c1, OD=d1, LU=c1 and CK=b4.
Which gives me GD=c1, OC=b1, UO=c1 and LK=c4.
I've checked carefully, because I found it weird that a coordinate was repeated. I've tried to enter them, but it doesn't work. Either I'm doing something wrong, or there's a glitch in the game.

Oh, my, I feel stupid...

Right panel:

It's not a number pad or a phone pad.

It's the pips on the die.

Yeah, my update button has disappeared as well (Firefox 3.0.6)

I'd like it back if anyone finds it...

I would love to know why Schmorgluck feels stupid, 'cause I'm at the same setup and stuck.

Given: A4, B1, C2, D3

GOOD LUCK:
GO = D2
OD = A4
LU = A1
CK = A3

So with the paper, that gives me:

GD = D4
OC = A2
OU = A1
LK = A3

....which I put in with the first code and now have this picture:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/thebocaj/3309005214/

What's wrong?

Hmm, now the game won't open for me.

I closed it in case there was a problem with my load, and the review says it saves progress...and now it just gives me a white popup. :(

same here :(

Jacob,

You got the coordinates the wrong way round (I think).

The letter is the x-coordinate, and the number is the y-coordinate, so for example the top left square would be A4, the bottom right square would be D1

That's it, Jimbog! THANK you!!!

So, for everyone else, that means Puzzle three:

is on a Math grid like so:

4
3
2
1
A B C D

I only have two batteries, where is the third one?

All I'm getting is a white popup...

Ugh! I hope this isn't a repeat of the Room Marine incident a week back.

I'm with Schmorgluck and jimbog, my Update button is also missing. It actually has for a while now, and I am also using Firefox 3.0.6. Maybe it really is related to that version, because I recall having updated it not too long ago.

[Edit: I removed the update button due to an intermittent bug in the Ajax code that made it appear as if a comment was posted twice. People would follow up with a "Oops, sorry about the double post" when their comment wasn't really posted twice. This created additional work for us to remove those comments. Thanks for understanding. -Jay]

I just can't get to grips with the right panel

I have the colours and the codes and I have read all of the above explanations. But I can't figure out which buttons to press for which number. For example, yellow is number six but the first colour I must press. Where is number 6 if 1 is the centre button? Simply the large button?

More hints please ........

Doh........ Got it!

I found the game to be quite enjoyable up until the colour based puzzles. Being colourblind it was impossible for me to progress. Usually I just use a walkthrough to get by those points in games but with the randomized puzzles in this game I was out of luck.

i think the solutions to the codes would be better than hints. can someone reveal the actual codes? thanks.

I gave up on the sound puzzle. If someone wants to give me an answer, I'll be willing to go back to it, but otherwise this is a waste of my time.

I can't even open the right panel, what is the trick?

fuzzboxer:

You know how you can get a high pitched beep by manipulating the sliders? Do so until you get all high pitched beeps (move one slider at a time until you get a high pitched beep and then move on to the next), then press the open button.

Do I need sound enabled for this game? I just got a radio looking thing and I don't want to waste my time if I need sound since I'm at my work computer (no sound) right now!

I hate games that use a tone based puzzle system for anything as this is so hard for someone who has hearing problems. I have had several escape games that i could not play just because there was no way around the tone based puzzle. The tones all sound exactly alike to me.

Thrasymachus:

Yes, you do, for that one puzzle only.

How do you put an item down after clicking the i?

Man...I love room escape games but this was a little too much pixel hunting for me. I need at least a hint of where I'm supposed to look. Even with the walkthrough it took me five minutes to even see the battery. After clicking around randomly on the painting to find the keyhole I gave up. A shame, because the game is beautiful and the puzzles sound truly interesting.

Need help w/left panel.

there are 7 piano keys, only 6 colors

The safe?

My Laser pen says 10R9LXXR41L.

My code for XX is 51.

So Safe code is 10R9L51R41L.

I went Clockwise to 10. 1 click to the left for 9, right to 51 and left to 41 and nothing.

I've tried both direction and nothing.

Do you have to pass the number before you stop on it?

Boo, to put an object down simply click on the object in your items list

I can't get the right panel open. help!

i really want to know the details of opening the safe, anyone kind enough to tell me~~

Ok, I just can't open the safe. I'm doing it the right way I'm sure (how may ways are there to move the wheel? I only know one :P) but it doesn't seem to be working!!

The

radio

disappeared from my inventory before I was able to

get the magnet out of it.

I have looked everywhere. Too frustrating a game to bother with starting over. Better luck next week.

how do you open the last panel? i can look at it with the black light, but i can't figure out how to open it!

Been trying to get the right panel, have all the colors and numbers, can't seem to put them in pad correctly. HELP!!

yellow =6, purple=5, light blue=2, green=3, red=4, blue=1

does the safe have to be on zero to start the combination?

Ok, so I guess it's been too long since I've used a combination lock
you have to get the number on the safe to be the number the laser says, not turn the dial that many times. For example if the first part of the laser says 45R then you turn the knob to the right until it is on 45. not turn it 45 times to the right so it says 15.

The lock doesn't have to be on zero to start the combination. Basically, just turn the dial to the right (clockwise) for the first number, to the left for the second number, and so on.

Also, Axa:

Hm...there are 9 buttons on that pad. I wonder what sort of patterns you could create that would correspond to the numbers on the die?

Can't figure out the right panel...

I keep trying to hold the button for 10 seconds and it won't open for me

Never mind, I closed the window and reopened and it worked.

For those of us who can only play during a brief lunch break, I'd like to applaud those game designers who kindly provide a save feature! Can we highlight that in reviews to (I hope) encourage new designers to do the same?

Just out of curiosity, why was this game rated yellow? There's no violence, cussing, or adult material in it.

(Unless assaulting a radio and an electric outlet with a Swiss army knife counts...)

[Edit: Very mild nudity (in an art image). -Jay]

I simply cannot find the panel where the blacklight is...even with the walkthrough! Can someone be a little less vague?

Just finished, and I have to say, that was one of my very favorite Escape games, great graphics and good logic. Thanks Sagrario!

Teresa:

Face the briefcase, but not zoomed in, so you can see the whole wall. Get out the blacklight and look around the middle, you should see a dotted outline. Zoom in on that, and then look for the button to open the panel in the bottom right corner of the outline.

I truely appreciate you, Kero...however, I am having trouble finding the blacklight itself.

I was so proud that I got so far and thought I would beat this on my own. But ultimately, I had to resort to the walkthrough because I didn't count on:

The final grid using DESCENDING numbers: 4, 3, 2, 1

Who da thunk it?

Jess, there's only so many times I can get 4 high pitched tones only to be denied by every setting on the 5 slider. What more would you have me do?

Fuzzhouse:

One interesting thing I've noticed is that the beeps don't necessarily correspond to the order of the sliders...for example, if you have numbers one, three and five set correctly, you'll still hear "high pitched beep, high pitched beep, high pitched beep, normal beep, normal beep." So, make sure first off that it's the fifth slider that's really the problem. If it really is, just make sure that you're hitting every setting...I found it really easy to skip some of them accidentally. If neither of those work, I'd suggest moving all the sliders (even the ones you think are correct) onto different settings and simply trying over.

Teresa:

The blacklight is under a loose floorboard. I can't recall which wall it's under, but click the corners until you get to a different view. Click on the loose floorboard (it won't come off), and then put the gold bar on one end to keep it propped up. Then, cut the string with your knife, remove the gold bar and the plank should come off. You'll need batteries to power it, however. These batteries can be found in the holes left in the floor after you move the chair away from the door. Put the magnet (which you get after solving the radio puzzle) on the tool you used to unscrew the chair, then dip it into each hole to collect the batteries.

stuck @ the right panel... :(

I must be special, because I can't find what I'm supposed to do with the gold bar!! PLEASE HELP!!

Argh! I can't figure out the left panel. I've tried almost every combination (obviously not the right one) HELP!

I have:

BLANK/BLANK/E as light blue/F as dark blue/BLANK/A as green/B as yellow?

Thanks Jess! I got it. Now, though, I have been putting the codes in for the colored die, but it keeps buzzing angrily at me at the next to last color. I've tried every way to put them it, and I am matching the patterns to how the dots show on the die, and according to color...it's driving me crazy!
Also...

Amykins:
Check out the spoiler that Jess put up for me, just a few posts up.

To anyone still having a problems with the RIGHT panel, here's a slightly better explanation.

With the panel, and its six lights, it's asking you to put in the dice nmber design that shows up on the black lighted cube.
Say your fist colour is yellow, and the corresponding number is 6, then you'd go to the panel, and click on the three left most buttons and the three right most, so the lit buttons no look like a "6" on a dice, then press the bar at the bottom. Repeat this with every other colour/dice design. (Eg, 5 would be an X,4 would be all 4 corners, etc.)

Hope that helped!

Thank you silliee !!!

Apparently I was wrong and I don't know how to open a safe ;P

What a poor thief I'd be...

Not sure if the radio thing changes, but here's what I did and it worked:

Do I have to know how to play a piano to get the left puzzle? I have no idea how to work this one.

I can't figure out how to use the

cube

to get the combination for the keypad of the right safe. The cube has six sides, and there are 9 buttons? How do I do it?

Thanks to all the hints here I managed to finish it. The game is difficult, sure. But there is one thing that from a logical point of view doesn't make sense

In the final panel, if the top row is ABCD then the logical vertical number sequence should be 1234 NOT 4321. It's the basic layout for every grid I've ever seen and there was no scrap of paper, hidden hint or whatnot that suggested the numbers were the other way around

That alone cost me like 15 minutes because I kept revising the letter-number combinations that I'd gotten right to begin with.

I can't find the second battery.

When I click on the right side of the chair, it just changes the view.

Feel like I've tried clicking everywhere and could use a better location hint.

@ Username.
Yes, its a piano. What you're looking for is in the walkthrough

from left to right the keys (buttons) are

C D E F G A B

You'll find the colors corresponding to each of the letters in the briefcase. Simply match the colors with the four letters and don't press the rest

@ JamieL

Think of the keypad as if it were the side of a dice. If for example when you look at the yellow side of the cube with the black light you see a 5 what you need to press on the keypad is this:

X . X
. X .
X . X

so that it resembles the 5 in a dice

if it's a 6 it you need to press:

X . X
X . X
X . X

Hope that helps :)

Queen of Diamonds:

I think the idea is that it's a chessboard, which is numbered the opposite way.

The combo for the "Good luck" safe isn't working for me, I've tried cancelling out the repeating button, but it doesn't work either way.

QOD, I've read the walkthrough, I know it's a piano, the walkthrough offers no solution to this puzzle that I can figure out. I don't know musical notes and how the correlate to piano keys, let alone how 6 colors fill in the 7 buttons. The "hint through" doesn't really explain the answer to this one, or rather, doesn't give the answer at all. The answer would be the order of colors.

Username:

As the walkthrough states, you should use the blacklight on the buttons. You will then see which button corresponds to which note.

There are only 4 letters in the square, but who says that a letter not mentioned also needs a light?

Furthermore, many of the codes are random for each game, so none of us could give you the answer for that puzzle.

Thanks for the replies folks, the QOD spoiler did it for me and I'm out of the room. I still have an issue with games that require the knowledge of music and the use of sound, oh well.

Teresa:

Hm, weird. Make sure you're putting the two and three the right way...I kept putting it the opposite diagonal. It definitely means that one of the numbers is wrong...unfortunately, all I can say is to triple-check your die.

I can't seem to

get the magnets out of the holes

Of course i meant

batteries, not magnets . I have the magnet stuck on the end af the wrench , but can't seem to get the batteries out of the holes .

A truly superb escape game. Thank you Jess!

Best room escape ever.

JIGuest, it took me a while to find the second battery too.

The second battery:

It's not on the chair, but to the right.

It's where the baseboard meets the doorframe.

The first battery isn't by the chair when you click on the right, it's sitting next to the wall by the door

I've gotten to the point where I have the blacklight and I've got the magnet attached to the end of the ratchet - but how to I get the four batteries? I clicked on the holes on the chair and nothing at all happened.

Septyrikon : maybe you didn't zoom enough. Click again and check if you only see the 4 holes in your screen...

@queen-of-diamonds
The numbers and letters for the final grid are actually written on the wall. Repeated on the top and bottom, and left and right.

They are, admittedly, VERY hard to read, but they are there.

Just wanted to second Jess on the last grid:

It's a chessboard, and in algebraic chess notation the 1 is the row at the bottom. But I understand how this would be pretty frustrating for people who don't know chess!

You're totally joking about the "yellow" rating, right? The "nudity" in DaVinci's Vitruvian Man is practically a blur. Howzabout you lighten up a bit, hmmm Jay?

[Edit: Lighten up? We're not saying who should or shouldn't play the game, we're just identifying the content present in the game. What's there to lighten up about? Please read our ratings descriptions if you don't understand what they're there for, or what they represent. -Jay]

i dont know if its been show already, but for those who need help with the last part:

the codes on the paper are the way the grid is, a,b,c,d, on the top, and 4,3,2,1, on the side. but when useing the codes from the good luck, you have a,b,c,d, on the top, and 1,2,3,4, on the side

hope that helps!

To open the safe...

First you need to have the combination from the laser pointer and the paper. For i had
28R48LXXR51L
and
XX = 1
So therefore i had
28 Right
48 Left
1 Right
51 Left
So Clicking on the "right" side of the dial i turned it until the number 28 was on top. The i clicked the "left" side of the dial until the number 48 was on top. And so on...

I hoped this helped.

Ahren, about the panel you are having problems with:

I had trouble with this too. You know that you use the blacklight on the cube to find the numbers that correspond with the colors, click the cube to turn it around and get the other side. Your pressing the buttons in the shape of the number on the cube. You know how you are pressing the long button on the bottom to see the order the colors go in? Go through it once and write that order down. Also write down what die number goes with each color. My problem was that I would push the long button first and then enter die number for the first color that showed up. The thing is, you enter the first color before you press the long button at the bottom at all. Which is why you need to write those colors down because you won't be able to see in the game what color is next.
In my game, the colors at the top were Yellow, Blue, Red, Purple, Green, Light Blue. So before I even pushed the long button to show the first light, I punched in the buttons that made the shape of the number on my yellow side. The number was six, so I punched the three going down on the left and the three going down on the right. THEN I pushed the long button on the bottom. Then I entered the corresponding number for blue. It was 1, so I pushed the center button. Then hit the long button.

It's really long and confusing, but hopefully this helps.

I have been working on the last puzzles for, no kidding, HOURS. I have the grid right, it's 4,3,2,1 from top to bottom and a, b, c, d from left to right. I also has this as my coordinates.

From the Paper:
d2
b1
b4
c3

From my own gathering of the letters, I have:
d4
a2
a1
a3

I am going freaking crazy here. I am out of smokes and refuse to go to the store until I figure this room out! Help! Someone is going to get something thrown at them!! lmao

can someone post the answers to all the puzzles in the game? something seperate from the walkthrough or maybe a second walkthrough with the puzzle answers? thanks.

I tried doing that also... but every time I do it seems to change the previous pitches?

Perhaps I should be more specific...

I have the first four all at a high pitch... but whenever I move the last one to try and match it, the fourth one lowers in pitch. Ideas?

I've got the 1st and 2nd batteries and I have taken the panel off the power outlet but wheres the 3rd battery?

scratch that, I finally got it!

Now I'm stuck on the right panel. I got the code but I'm confused on how to input it...

This thing is addicting.

holly, are you looking for the batteries for the blacklight or for the lazer?

Okay I know everybody has explained about the safe. I just can't get it open because I can't stop on the right numbers. The dial spins to fast. Any help?

i may be stupid but i cant unlock the safe can anyone help me pls :)

The safe spins too fast if you hold the mouse button. To make it spin slowly, simply click ONCE to the right or the left of the dial. Numbers will then pass one by one.

To make it easier, note the code on paper. For example, this was mine:
17 Right
4 Left
XX (35) Right
7 Left

It's much easier to see it that way.

Good luck!

Miklao

I am stuck on the right panel. I understand that pressing the big bar gives you the order of the colors. I also get that using the black light on the die gives you the numbers to each color. What I don't get is how to enter the number. I know it should match up with the die and I've been doing that but it won't give me the key. Am I supposed to put the die pattern in a specific way? What am I doing wrong? HELP!

I just signed up and I haven't received the email yet, is it automatic like forums or do I have to wait for a mod to accept me?

Anyway, I'm having trouble with the right panel too. I already have my order of colors and their numbers but since there was no clear indication of numbers I started out like this:

1 2 3
4 5 6
7 8 9

Then I realized I must be doing something wrong since I keep getting the error alarm. Then I tried this:

7 8 9
4 5 6
1 2 3

Like in the numpad on the keyboard. It's still giving me the alarm. How did anyone else do theirs?

Aureza - check your spam folder. The validation email gets sent out immediately after you sign-up. There should be no delay.

Vague hint for the right panel:

Don't count. *Look*.

Of all the stupid games...

The door handle doesn't work. If by some act of god you actually figure it all out without the walkthrough, which seems impossible unless you're the author of the game, you still can't finish the game.

the right missing codes are a3 b3 b4 c2. It apears like this on the panel:
xxx
xx x
x
x

in reply to:

"Perhaps I should be more specific..." Kelsee 1121,

I have the first four all at a high pitch... but whenever I move the last one to try and match it, the fourth one lowers in pitch. Ideas?

your answer (i think) is:

the order of the notes is irrelevant to the order of the switches. for example, the third note could be lower, but actually the first switch might control that particular note. you just have to play around with them, find out which switch is playing the wrong note and then adjust it until it is.

hope it helped! :D

oops nevermind, couldn't understand the order of the posts ^-^;

Ive been trying to pry the magnet from the speaker of the radio with the pocket knife as advised in the walkthrough but nothing happens. Am I missing something?

"Face the safe, in the bottom left corner there is a loose panel. Place the gold bar on it and then cut the string that you see using the knife."

I can't find the panel O.o i just don't see it...can somebody send me a screenshot ,PLEASE! :D XD me an my boyfriend,we go crazy XD

thx

LEFT PANEL PUZZLE solution:

first, lookk at the colored card in the briefcase. It indicates letter 'E' in light blue background, letter 'B' in yellow background, 'A' in blue and 'F' in green.

now, the left panel has 7 buttons to push. That's the piano C, D, E, F, G, A, and B (7notes=7buttons)

since there are no C and D in the card, leave the first 2 buttons not pressed. Then, press the 3rd button until light blue color(note E). for the 4th button, hit it until green(note F). 5th button no corresponding color, leave it as is (not pressed). 6th button is note A - color blue and lastly, 7th button is color yellow for note B (yes, ti!).

so, i hope this helps:
* * E F * A B
(leave it, leave it, light blue, green, leave it, blue, yellow)

[Edit: Spoiler added ~ Kayleigh]

Please how do you work the safe? I've done it so many times it hurts!!!

Thank you Stormy, for your help on the stupid last puzzle. For some reason once one starts one has to finish those silly puzzles, god knows why :p, and now I wish I spared myself the trouble. This game was quite frustrating and the walkthrough isn't really one.

Monster, the panel were the blacklight is

is on the floor in the right corner when facing the wall under wich the briefcase is. So right of the briefcase in full wall view, basically.

Thank you thank you thank you for this comment!!!

I solved it in 1 second after i read that, had been driving me crazy before that, i can still hear the beeping!!!

How do I open the right panel? And how do I use the blacklight that I took from the floor? How do i turn it on or whatever i need to do with it?

cannnot open the outlet with the corkscrew? no matter how many times i click, im going mental here!

Thanks Kathleen - the dice puzzle was driving me nuts until I read your detailed walkthrough. Thanks for explaining it. :)

That was a lovely escape game - very smooth both in terms of graphics and interactions. However, I couldn't have done it without the walkthrough and the various hints from other players - Thnx One and All :)

Enjoyed this even if very hard, luckily I stumbled across this page or there is no chance I would have gotten out, I reckon Einstein himself would have struggled! Lol. Good luck to all.

erm... im feeling very stupid here....

but how do you combine objects? im trying to open the test tube with the note in using the corkscrew on the swiss army knife..... how do you do it!!!!

Ummmm ... how do you use the swiss army knife on anything? I can put down the test tube with the note in it and then open the knife?

This is very stupid but I cannot get the darn batteries with the ratchet and the magnet. I keep trying but NOTHING!!! NOTHING! lol HELP!!!???

Mikki and Chaz -

Click on the "i" (info) for the swiss army knife, this should pull up the knife for a close up. Click on the knife until the corkscrew attachment opens up, then put the knife back in your inventory (using the little x in the top right corner of the close up). Now click on the "i" (info) for the test tube. While the test tube is on the screen in close up, click on the knife, then click on the cork. That should open the test tube so you can retrieve the note.

JIGuest -

Click on the "i" (info) for the knife to pull it up for a close up. Click on the knife until the knife blade comes out. Then close the knife close up and click on the outlet for a close up. Use the knife on the outlet cover and it should pop off. Now pull up the knife again ("i" button) and click to switch the blade to a screwdriver. Once it is a screwdriver close it down, then select it and use it on the screws on either side of the outlet. That should remove the outlet completely.

Krysta -

After using the ratchet to remove the bolts, did you move the chair? Move the chair then use the ratchet on the four holes (making sure that the magnet is attached to the ratchet first).

d. -

Right panel: hold down the button for 10 seconds.
Black light: you need to put the four batteries (found in the holes beneath the bolted chair) into the black light to turn it on and use it.

Oke I've gotten to the point where i put the magnet on the back side of the ratchet and im trying to fish the batteries out of the holes of the chair but no matter how much i click on the holes nothing happens and i really tried over and over again can somebody help me?

I did everything that i know of and got the door handle and it wont go in the door lol

man!!! i cant get the radio to work, i'm stucked forever!!! bad hearing...
