KarmenGood Things Should Never EndThey say that good things should never end. Take orange, for instance. The orange is infinite. Scroll down into the orange. It's ok, the orange won't hurt you. Use the scrollbar, use the little nubby thing protruding from your mouse, it doesn't matter. You can drag it and fly across the orange like a satellite map or you can stroke it with your finger on your fancy new iwebophone. Any way you dive into it, it is orange.

Look in to the orange, marvel in its rainbow endlessness. If you're confused, you might ask the one of the robots that keeps asking you for a chat. You might learn quite a bit. The robots won't tell you the object of the game, you say? You could try creating a better robot, using zygotic manipulation. Or, you could try seeking the end of the orange, the horizon at the edge of the rind. Or, you could stop and guess. They're waiting for you to try.

Perhaps it would be best just to give into the orange. Play. Grow things, drop things, poke things. Create something: scribble it, arrange it, mix it up with sprinkles on top. You can do it just like you were ringing a bell. If you want to keep the orange and pass it around, you can pick up a little tag and paste it up wherever you call home.

This strange orange webtoy is actually an advergame for the UK phone company Orange Unlimited. For those in the UK, that means freebies like sim cards and text messages. For those of us in other places in the world, that means "Orange" is a rather ambiguous thing. For everyone, it means a chance to play with a nonsensical and surreal landscape. Whether you are interested in phone service or not, give it a try, and I think you'll agree: Good Things Should Never End.

Hmm, it's not loading for me.

Ah-ha! I take it back. It works. What an interesting little webtoy...

Looks like the JIG traffic has caught up with it already...I'll finish it later, when the loading times aren't so horrendous.

What I did see was pretty fun, though. Probably the closest thing to the ideal advergame I've seen. You never forget what it's advertising, but you're still motivated to explore.

Good things should never end... until it locks up and keeps endlessly repeating a jungle beat, squawking birds and some weird clicking sound. Then please make it stop.

it wont load for mee! and i want to know what its about...im curious

Go play paralyzer so we can play this!

What am I missing? All I can do is make the fat bearded guy pull out various objects and beings out with the rod.

I guess there's more to it, but that's all I seem to be able to do...

It's not working for me either... Once i did get it to load and i couldn't do anything...

Aha, I got it.

All i see is rainbows soooo many rainbows......AHHHHHHHGGGG!!!! PLEASE HELP ME!!! what do i do? someone please end the endless rainbows!!!

I plugged a mouse with a scroll button on it and it started working!

Hope it helps!

☺☻Peabop☻☺

When I tried to load it with Firefox, I got a 404 page, but it loaded right away with IE. Gonna play it after breakfast.

A 404 is a server response, it has nothing to do with the brand of browser being used for the request.

My advice: if at first you don't succeed, reload and try again.

Anybody get to the bottom? There's a special surprise there....

the reason that it takes forever that it slowly scrolls up against your movement

3 way down :P

Is this really infinite? I reached the end and it goes past that on my scroller thingy!

Bug: Do NOT right-click and select Zoom In! On my system at least, this permanently screwed up the scaling of the movie, it was impossible to zoom all the way back out. The right third of the game (including the scroll bar) became inaccessible. After clicking on one of the activities, I became stuck, because the exit button for that activity was entirely off the right side of the window.

Robot: Robots do not have emotion like humans do.

Lizard: Does that mean you're ruthless killers?

Robot: I think it does mean that.

Lizard: Does this mean you plan to destroy all humans?

Robot: I can't disclose all of my plans yet.

Umm...If a bunch of silhouetted floating monitors show up at your door tomorrow and start attacking you, it's totally not my fault.

Well i actually got my scroll bar to the bottom touching the arrow (i know im sad..) and guesse what

image
it doesnt end :p

bumoftheums: Am I dead?

robot: I think a lot of people are.

bumoftheums: Am I alive?

Robot: I think you have improved quite a bit.

He's quite the existentialist...

guys, stop wasting your time. my scrolling thing got to the bottom, but the page kept on going.

in other words: it goes on into infinity!!!!!!!!

I made the robot mad... I told him why I didn't like robots and he stopped talking to me. I closed the chat and opened it again and said wow and h still wouldn't talk....

I tried to reach the end, but I failed.
I scrolled and scrolled, but when I stopped for a second, the scroller secretly headed back up.
So I gave up, the game fooled me :(

I lied. =P
You believed me! xD

Robot does not answer to me.

Also, the game always hangs after a while and keeps wanting to open popups.

Other then that, a very original concept.

Wow. That is the single most nausea inducing, high-feeling, colorful game I have ever played.

I tried to scroll to the bottom for like 30 minutes, then gave up when I read the rest of the comments. ^__^

Awesome little webtoy ^__^
