Amateur Surgeon and Bow Street Runner updates

JayJust a quick note to point you to two new updates to previously reviewed games that you might want to know about: Amateur Surgeon and Bow Street Runner.

  • Alan Probe: Amateur SurgeonAct 2 of Alan Probe: Amateur Surgeon is now available to play from the folks at Adult Swim. Amateur Surgeon is a cartoonish and casually offensive simon-says-surgery game. Your job is to follow the exact requirements of each surgery as quickly and as accurately as possible. The game has great production values, bright, detailed environments and an ever-present sense of self-conscious irony. The violence is so over-the-top that it's not really gross, and there's still plenty of comically intense moments to go around.
  • Bow Street RunnerEpisode 2 of Bow Street Runner is now available to play from Channel 4 in the UK. Bow Street Runner is a mystery adventure series set in London's Covent Garden in the 1750s. Crime in the city has risen to such a level that local magistrates were forced to take action. The Bow Street Runners were born, created to instill order in the increasingly crime-ridden city. It's a dark and historically accurate journey through old London, presented with live actors, voice narration and full motion video for an impressive cinematic experience.

Yay! I love both of these games :D These are good things to come home from school to. xD

I love these! Thanks for posting the update.

It looks like the difficulty with the tracing bits in Bow Street Runners was scaled down a bit (which is good) and the difficulty in Alan Probe has gone way up (which is irritating.) I can't seem to make it past the first level of part 2. :/

Haha at the spoilers above.

I just checked the source code.

Yay, I was wondering when they'd update these games.

I actually breezed right through this episode! I agree with Lizard..the tracing is much easier than the 1st episode, which was most frustrating!
Speaking of which...Jay, I wanted to register since I am an avid user of your web site...I tried 6 times but managed to not complete it correctly. What IS a typekey idenity??

Hi Lizziel, sorry you've had a problem creating an account.

TypeKey is a third-party authentication service we previously used for this site, before we implemented our own site accounts.

You can still create a TypeKey account if you like, but having a Casual Gameplay account should provide additional benefits once we begin to roll out some new features this summer that require an account for storing profile and preference data in the database for you.

Please use the email address at the bottom of the left sidebar to email me about what's happening, and I'll set up an account manually for you.

You folks should really be posting these comments on the individual game reviews. =/

In fact, I guess I'll have to move them (just so you know where your comments went to).

And to think, as I post this the third one is out! The ending has still apparently not been put out yet, because I've been stuck twice at the loading screen for the interrogation.

I liked two a lot better. It was easier to follow and a much less frustrating experience. :) Three I'm waiting for the end of.

I love this series!

I was talking about Bow Street Runner, by the way :)

Episode III of Bow Street Runner is up and running.

Or maybe not yet? At least the game won't load for me. But I'll keep trying.

Of course, as soon as i submitted that comment it loaded :)

how do you put on the fire on Vince?

Episode IV of Bow street runners is up and running.

Just like I'm running to see and play it.
