Link Dump Friday

A sweet mango smoothie. Turning the pages of a favorite book. Dashing bare feet on the hot summer ground. The cool side of the pillow. The stretch after a nap. Smooth wrapping paper. A single piece of chocolate. A touch of fur. Starlit breezes. Sitting on the edge of a pool. The last drop of ice cream. Enjoy!
- Dreams: Chapter 1 - Interesting RPG with timed, turn-based gameplay that combines hammer smashing with a shotgun. And they said it couldn't be done... (Thanks Christopher!)
- RGB - Target shooter with elements of Hatch.
- Pattern Game - A simple little flash toy with swirly patterns. May keep you entertained for a few minutes. If you play this for an hour than either something is dearly wrong or you have some really good music playing in the background...
- Light Sprites - Game by one of our reviewer, Jared of Hero Interactive. It's a small world...hyped up on sugar. P.S. I LOVE RAINBOWS!!!!!!!!!
- Micro Panda - Light up the world...WITH A PANDA! "Drive" your panda around a little 3D world, lighting trees, flowers, and more with the sheer joy emanating from your eyes.
- Puzzle Freak - A board game with puzzles! Suggested sound volume: off. (I swear Albert cheats). (Thanks Frank!)
- Worms - Navigate a simplistic black snake to avoid deviously fast particles that are after your muffins! (Note: there are no muffins in this game).
- Doll Face - A somewhat dark video about...well, I'll let you see for yourself. (Thanks jbeaver!)
- SPARKLE ESPERANTUMOR STIMULATION - A fun collaboration video from the Psst! Pass it On film project. (Quicktime.mov)
- Jay adds: if you're over 21, you may want to check out this nicely done point-and-click detective advergame done in a distinctly film noir style. It's really an advertisement for Grolsch beer, so use your discretion regarding who plays the game. "It's Miriam...They're onto me...I had to hide the painting...I here someone is coming...Please hurry...You have to get it...If you don't find it before they do, I am dead!...You have to get it...There is not much time... AAAAAaaaahh!" Grolsch Gardens
- Super Special Sweet Summer Sbonus Svideo! - Charlie the Unicorn - Chaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarlie...
See you on Williams Street...

Micro Panda is a nice game, if you like driving a panda through a dark forest while you light things up. My best score is 673 points YAY (stage 1)! There's another good game at the Micro Panda site, here's the link: http://dan-ball.jp/en/javagame/dust/
I'm about to play Puzzle Freak, it seems to be good.
I also liked the Pattern Game, which I had already played before but anyway I wasted about half an hour of my life playing it, trying all the 144 combinations (but with the Puzzle Freak music in the background, so it seemed to be an adventure game with running dots, or something like that).
OMG CHARLIE!
I like puzzle freak's concept, although the puzzles themselves could use some work. Some of them are just too easy, while some are quite hard to do in the timeframe given.
Oh, and Doll Face is cool. It's not dark, it's more.. sad.
I think it's a nice comment of modern culture and how conforming to media and images of beauty can lead to a destruction of one's individuality. Well, either that, or it's "don't watch too much TV, it's bad for your spine".
I loved puzzle freak, but I found it a little too much on luck. I had an 'IQ' score of 151 and nearly lost to a guy with
All in all I found all the puzzles easy to do in the time frame except for the pitcher one, but I've never been good at that specific puzzle.
The GrolshGardens is fun - but I'm stuck on the last code for the clock.
Also I have the
Any help?
@Ducatisti: which numbers do you have thus far?
Grolsch Gardens is great! First time I could solve the game without resorting to spoilers.
Talking about everything...does the game end
Ducatisti:
The clock codes are

Wow. Light Sprites is really... special. But in a good way. I love the world! ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^
Thanks for the help Tom - I must have a glitch that's not allowing me to complete the game.
Looks like I'm gonna have to close out and try again.
Enjoyable for the parts I could play though!
Guido:
Last post for now...regarding one of the clock codes,

OK, I'm having my usual escape-the-room game trouble with Grolsch Gardens: missing something that no one else seems to have had trouble with.
I have the
Mortice you are missing something very important.
Thanks Guido, it was good finally to finish it and stop being bombarded with advertising just because I refused to let it beat me. :)
IMHO Light Sprites is worthy for a review by itself...
I've watched Charley the Unicorn before. Too funny. We should all go to
I also really liked Worms. Not the animal, the game. But the animal worms are cool too...
LightSprites!! This game is so addictive. It gets a little too hard when the objects get multi-colored, though.
Can someone please help for
Ah. That Dreams game is quite lovely, and the action well designed. Even though all the battles are scripted to some point, I like the idea of not having to random encounter my way through the lush scenery. Too bad the comic can't catch up to the game.
Here's to hoping the second game will make more use of the flight capabilities.
Light Sprites is cute! I scored 11400 on easy, because I got distracted by the cute dancing figures... tee hee...
Grolsch Gardens was neat, though it would have been nice to get a "you finished" message, I kept clicking around after scene 7 trying to understand if I'd completed the game or not.
Great, CHARLIE!
Greets from Germany :-)
Peter
all right, done playing, got to go to a bar and save the girl
after all she is hot and I'm a knight and all :)
Yay, Friday link-dump!
Hm... story-wise, Doll Face was too heavy-handed with its message for me, but technically, it was really beautiful -- tightly paced and edited, and great animation on the robot workings.
Grolsch game is simple and pretty fun. Looking forward to the sequels.
I actually Googled for that dang pitcher puzzle in Puzzle Freak (turns out I was close, but kept overlooking what should have been an obvious possible step). PF itself was interesting, but it sent me back to the same square 4 or 5 times in a row until Albert caught up. It may have been coincidental, but if it's instead the game's way of keeping the pace even, I'd rather the opponent make good rolls rather than staying stuck on the same spot.
"It's a Leopluridon, Charlie! A **MAGIC** Leopluridon!"
I found Charlie on Filmcow months ago, and would STILL vote it one of my favorite animations. :)
puzzle freak kicked butt! and why the no sound recommendation? i loved the music :D
So what's with flash animators not crediting the music they use? What a jerk.
Worms is awesome!
up to level 16 so far, it gets a bit freaking hard!
Harukio, I must say i like how you say what you say, on link dump friday (freestyle...)
[by the way- in the game, how can I hide if the horse keeps his eyes closed?]
RGB is nice—my accuracy was 96%. One bug: The crosshairs really need to be in front of your gun. Otherwise, I can't see where I'm aiming.
Also, a suggestion: I should be able to see the target fade out (perhaps with an “X” on it to indicate that I hit it), with my bullet-hole on it so I see how well I hit it.
