Escape from DetentionYou have been sent to detention with a couple of your friends, and locked in a room in the school by the evil principal seeking revenge. The only way out is to use your ingenuity and resources around you, along with the help of your friends, to Escape from Detention. The Shockwave game was produced by Bitcasters, a talented multimedia studio in Toronto, Ontario.

Use your mouse to click on any of the three students, Serin, Geo or Bravo, then click to move around each room and pick up items. Inventory items may be combined to solve puzzles, and even shared between students. Very nice pixel graphics and challenging puzzles make this game a lot of fun for anyone. Click.

HELP!!! I'm in the 2nd rom, the power rom. 'm by myself and I can't tie the rope to the left mddle bx. ive tried everything! It wont work. Are u supposed to just go to the rope klik on it then klik on the box? cuz its not working somewone tell me how to do it please I'm trapped

I beat it, without the map. Once you get the others into the power room it'll be easy. You just need to search the entire school for open doors. And once you get the chemicals, you go into the computer lab and click on one. The pass is rover. If you want to escape, you have to make the sleeping potion. Grab the meatloaf from the cafeteria. Pour the sleeping potion on the meatloaf, then give it to the dog.

you only need a the imporant 1's meatloaf,4 chemechils,main key,crowbar,chalk,torch and a rope and thats all and don't need batitire,string,spoon,chalk and the map.


when you see the bear there is a grate i tried every way to get it out because it said theres was somthing shiney. bye !

this game was pretty tight, could have been a bit longer, it was really short. They need to come out with another one. I beat it with only the rope clue. Who figured that out? And how? Isn't the bottom left light machine switch thingy closer to the vent than the middle one?

wow this game was SO easy :) i only wanted to findout HOW to mix the potion; which was jus pour them into another, all that time i was trying to use the laddle and the pot in the kitchen/cafe. :| that was dumb. kay good luck; it's not a hard time. how do i tie the rope to the electricity box????????

you're in the detention hall but there's no light

- to get some light use serin's battery and geo's flashlight.

- get the chalk from the blackboard, the coin from the bigger desk and the notebook from the upper right corner desk

- use the chalk with the notebook. u get a school map.

- give the flashlight and the coin to bravo.

- get serin to stay on the bench near the vent, then geo and finally bravo

- use the coin to unscrew the vent and get bravo to go through it

- you're in the power room. turn the lights on (power box in the middle)

- go to the closet and find a crowbar and a rope

- tie one end of the rope to the middle power box in the first row (nearest to the vent) and toss the other end to geo and serin.

- get geo to use the crowbar to open the door.

- time to collect objects:

. go in the 1st door right next to you (library) and then get to the staff room (u need to walk through the libray to get it). get the ladle in the sink, the coins from the sofa.

. in the door next to the library (the science lab) get all the chemicals and the magnet from the desk

. next (door with glass) there's a corridor that leads to cafeteria. get the meat loaf and in the kitchen u can find the roll of string in the closet

- time to use the objects: use the roll of string with the magnet and go to the grate (in the hallway when u came out from the power room) and get a small key.

- go back to the staff room (check the map if u don't know where it is) and use the key to open the drawers. u'll find a note saying "rover".

- go into the library and go to one of the computers. use the password and see how to make a sleeping potion. u need a green and an oranje potion.

- now it's time to use some knowledge. get the chemicals and mix the right colours to obtain green and oranje (yellow+blue=green and yellow+red=oranje). after that use the sleeping potion on the meat loaf

- go to the gym (once again check the map if u have doubts) and feed the dog with the meat loaf.

- enter in the janitor's room and in the drawers find the school's main door key.

- get out of the gym and exit the school.

DETENTION:

search for all the tables, then you have money notebook enz...
to get some light use serin's battery and geo's flashlight. ^^ select the chalk and click on the notebook
YES you have a map!!!
Let 2 people sit on their knees on the table on the right.
let the 3rd stand on them (by clicking just beneath the table), select the quarter and use it to open the vent.

POWERROOM:

but the middle box on. Then go to the locker, you get the robe and the crowbar.
this is wat you have to do then.
1. select the robe and then click on the box

the -X- is the one you have to click on.
then 'throw' the robe in to the vent...
give then the crowbar to Geo.
he can break open the door.

then go to the science-lab, grab al the potions there and search for the magnet in the table of the teacher.

After this, go to the library. click on the computer and typ the password: rover.
now, mix al the chemicals...(red with yellow- blue with yellow, then the ones you've got from that, mix those 2.)

now, go to the cafetaria.(look on your map) and get from the bar the'food'
throw your sleeping potion on the food and give this to 'the dog'
he will move now. go to the door...

for the rest, you have to use your brains, it was really easy!!!!!!!!!

what was the laddle and the change for? and the ending kinda sucked. you attach the rope to the middle box closest to the vent and then you attach the other end to the vent. then get geo to open the door. do they have any other games like this? and it should have had somethin about the straw and who framed them and stuff.

I have bravo ontop of serin,i try using the coin to open the vent and it says "if i could only find a way up there"

1.to get out of the detention room you have to go to the teachers desk and get the quarter . 2.first make serin kneel on the bench then geo and then bravo , make bravo use the quarter to open the vent . 3. in the power room go to the middle switch and use it to turn the lights on.then go to the metal cabinet and get the rope and crowbar.4.attach the rope to the switch in front of the light switch and then attach it to the vent and that will get geo and serin.5.use geo to get the crowbar and open the door! i will save the rest for the next comment i leave !!

Hiya! Yes, I got my name from the manga, Angelic Layer, but straight to the point. I Won, Yay Me!! It is a really cute game and i might have to play it over!! I will post spoilers for parts even i had trouble with so here they are:

1. when u start out, look at the items the ppl have and then do the obvious combination.
2. check all the desks, teacher's desk and chalkboard in the room.
3. combine the chalk w/ notebook to get a map.
4. pile the 3 ppl on the bench in this order:
Serin(she is heavier than a boy??)
Geo(and then of course)
Bravo.
5. use the quarter u should have found in the teacher's desk and make sure bravo has it(to open the vent), along with the flashlight.
6. when Bravo gets in. turn on all the generators.
7. search the cabinet for a rope+crowbar.
8. tie the rope to the middle generator in the row closest to the vent u came out of.
9. when u r reunited with ur peeps, give the crowbar to Geo and have him break out of the power room.
10. when u get out, click that picture. creeped out?? jk, u dont have to. ignore the floor vent, if u use the flashlight, it says there is a key, but u don't need to know that now.
11. go into the door at the end(science), and get all four potion things and search the teacher's desk for a magnet.
12. go to the cafeteria to get the meatloaf then go through the door and search the cabinet for string.
13. NOW is the time for the floor vent. Go into the main hallway, combine the string w/ the magnet and drop it into the floor vent to get the golden key.
14. Go to the library into the small room and use the golden key on the cabinet to get the password for the computers. while you're in there, get the coins out of the couch and the laddle out of the sink.
15. get on the computers and enter the password(rover)and it will take you to chemistry 101. since u dont have a green or orange potion, mix your blue+yellow potions and red+yellow potions and then mix your new orange and green potions together.
16. now put the sleeping potion on the meatloaf and go to the gym.
17. feed the 'sleeping potion meatloaf' to the dog, rover(rover is kinda cute up close in the pic).
18. get the key out of the cabinet and head for the EXIT.
19. the door will be stuck, but Serin breaks it open. CONGRATULATIONS!! YOU HAVE MADE IT THROUGH WITH HELP BY ME, MISAKICHI A.K.A. KARIN!!
p.s. the only help I used was when u needed to get out of the detention room by having the ppl climb on top of each other on the bench.

OMG I was stuck when i couldm't get Geo and Serin into the power room but after that is was so easy and I mean how much lamer of an ending can you get!!!!

All you need is the key, the penlight, chalk, notebook, crowbar, rope, meatloaf, red chemical, 2 yellow chemical,and blue chemical. I didn't even go into all the rooms. The library is useful. Simply get the quarter from the desk, mix the penlight with the battery, put serin on the bench first, then geo, and finally, bravo. give bravo the penlight who will climb into the power room. turn on the switch in the middle (marked 1 on my map)go into the cabinet click the rope, put it on the middle switch(marked 2 on my map ,and click on the vent. Serin must take the crowbar and use on door. Go into the library and click a computer. The password is rover. go in lab make green chemical and make orange chemical and mix. Go to cafeteria and mix meatloaf with potion. go to gym give meatloaf to dog. Go through door and click on file cabinet. Go to exit and watch cinematic. The End.

i cant get this game to work ... can anyone help please. when i click the link it wants to download "preload2.dcr" which my computer cant read so when i do down load it it just sits on my desktop doing nothing. ???. i cant play and the comments make this game look sooooo tempting. theres a fun size twix for anyone who helps me :-)

Detention room: Go into Serin’s backpack, click the battery. Take the battery over to Geo’s backpack and combine it with his flashlight. Since Geo is the only one with the light, use him to go over to the desks (including the teacher’s desk). Click them all. Find a notebook and a quarter. Click the chalkboard. Get chalk. Combine chalk and notebook together to get a map of the school. Get the quarter from Geo’s backpack and give it to Bravo. Click Serin and put her on the bench by the vent. Then click Geo and click the bench. He will climb on top of Serin. Then click Bravo and click the bench, she will stand on the two of them. Get the quarter from her backpack and click the vent with it. Bravo will open the vent. Give Geo’s flashlight to Bravo. Click inside the vent. Bravo is now in the generator room. Generator:

Now Bravo is in the generator room. Flip up all the switches to turn the lights on. Go to the tall cabinet and find the rope and the crowbar. 1. take the battery and give it to geo to put into the penlight 2. find a quater in the teachers desk 3. make serin neal on the box underneath the vent 4. make geo give the pen light and quater to bravo and make geo neal on top of serin 5. make bravo climb on top of geo and serin and open the vent with the quater you found in the desk now you are in the next room with geo and serin, 6. look in the cupboard in this room you will find rope and a crow bar 7. turn on all the machines to find out which turns the lights on 8. tie the rope to the 2nd machine from the vent, and tie the other end to the vent to let geo and serin climb through 9. give geo the crowbar and let him break open the door you are now in the room with the bear in it 10.in this room go through the double doors on the right into the canteen and pick up the meatloaf 11.go through the double doors into the kitchen and click on the wardrobe this will give you some wire/srting 12. go back to the room with the bear and go through the single door on the right into the science room take all the bottles containing coloured chemicals 13.in this room you will also find a magnet in the desk 14, go back to the bear room, not far from the bear on the floor is a grill, tie the magnet to the wire and you will pull a key out of it 15. go through the second single door into the computer room walk straight through and unlock the cabinet with the key you just found 16. now you have your password click on the pc to type it in 17.to make the sleeping potion mix the bottles together 18. go to the room wear the dog guards the door (through the first double doors, then the single one on the right) 19.mix the potion with the meatloaf and feed the dog 20.go in the room and get the key 21.NOw you may leave through the exit with the key!!

Cute game and all, but who did it? None of the clues that the game menu mentioned were in the game.Is a sequel in the works? Cuz the whole 'framed' thing leaves me a bit dissapointed.
